You could've just rotoscoped the bottle out of the video and put it on it's on separate layer in after effects. Would've taken like 5min. But I admire the dedication.
I agree. At the time of this video, I didn’t know about rotoscoping. And some times it can be better just to mask cause you get artifacts/fragments that shift as the video goes on which would make the bottle look choppy on the edges.
Oh a better solution would be to stick something behind the bottle that can be held by your hand. This makes sure that there will be nothing from your fingers cast onto the bottle, avoiding blemishes. Saves a lot of editing time too cause you'll be able to use a simple mask animation.
You definitely could do that. I’ve never tried it and am not sure how good of a key I could pull from that. Might still end up having to mask in certain areas.
I know this video is 1 years old, but do you know what it is called in hitfilm? After making all the masks to make the inside of the mask invisible. Btw: great video! This has so many uses to it :)
@@BigVicMedia np. Still thanks! Just trial and error until it works. I can still use your tutorial for that program as well. The principal is the same so thanks!
@@BigVicMedia but the way you did is really appreciated and require hard work and proper knowledge! Loved this! Infact i learn this from you! Previous i was using green screen!
Thanks for watching! Great question, you’d need a motion control rig or electrical slider that can make the exact same movement twice. One for the main shot one for the clean plate. Another way is to do advanced painting out with content aware fill, it will be difficult, however.
You could mask on adobe premiere too if you have that but it’s not as precise as after effects. I definitely recommend getting it if you’re interested in VFX.
You’d need a harness and to mask out the straps or you could do something like this ua-cam.com/video/YKXYasRzAW0/v-deo.html or this ua-cam.com/video/S1RCPlAWP7Y/v-deo.html Hope that helps! Thanks for watching
Very cool my guy, great effect :)
Thanks a lot!
This is sick, definitely got my mind going for some fun ideas. Thank youuuu!
I’m glad you liked it and that it opened up new doors to creativity for you. Thanks for watching!
So true! Masking is painfully time consuming.
I did a levitation video today. And after 3 secs of masking in Premiere pro I just closed it.
Haha the struggle is real. I find masking in After Effects to be WAY EASIER. But I totally know the feeling.
Amazing, we need more videos like this
Thank you! I’ve got plenty like that here on my channel

Sick tutorial bro! Appreciate it :D
Thanks a lot! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
question, would it be easier if you used a green hand and color key out the green hand?
Oh a better solution would be to stick something behind the bottle that can be held by your hand. This makes sure that there will be nothing from your fingers cast onto the bottle, avoiding blemishes. Saves a lot of editing time too cause you'll be able to use a simple mask animation.
Yeah agreed. Like one of the handles people put on the back of their phones
New subscriber here!! great video
Thanks a lot!
Can you do this while people are in the shot? I’m planning something and I wanna know if I can do that.
Cool vid, wouldny it be easier though to use the automatic mask tool in AE?
Thanks, if auto trace could get it exact then yes it would
Why don't you wear a green gloves with chromakey effect
You definitely could do that. I’ve never tried it and am not sure how good of a key I could pull from that. Might still end up having to mask in certain areas.
It’ll be harder in reflection too

Thank you! And I’m not sure what you mean about hitfilm.
@@BigVicMedia the video editing program. Hitfilm Express
Oh gotcha. I’m sorry I’m not sure, until now I hadn’t heard of that program.

Awesome. I’m glad the video helps!
Rotobrush?
Do you do personal tutoring?
No I don’t, I’m sorry!
What kind of camera did you use?
Canon 1DxMii for the edit and a Canon T7i for bts
Great
Thanks
why not use a sheet of glass, to make the wine bottle float?
I wanted to make it behave as if someone was picking it up. I don’t believe that I could make it pour if I used a sheet of glass.
What about green sleeves?
I’ve never actually tried it but I’d imagine you’d have slight distortion around the arms that you’d still have to paint out or mask.
"the average person will not see them"
well that proves my IQ
Haha I should rephrase that. If you don’t know how that effect is done, you won’t be looking for the blemishes.
Wouldn't it be much easier if you just wear green screen suit?
Buying green cloth and cover yourself with it would reduce your after effects editing time!
Yeah more than likely, for this shot, it would. There are certain shots where the lighting would make it hard to get a solid key.
Thanks for watching!

How to replace in moving videos

Uh how
Man it is great but any way to create this in a phone? Pls this question is eating my brain
Thanks a lot. You could definitely film it with a phone but I don’t edit on a phone so I’m not sure if there are any apps with masking capability.
@@BigVicMedia oh the for reacting bro! If you know how to levitate a object from phone pls don't forget to tell me
Of course. Will do
I don’t have after effects ☹️🥺

nice, but shoot always the plate shot after the action shot ;)
Thanks! That wouldn’t have worked because the wine glass would’ve been full of wine
so, i suppose i should be able to levitate women with this method as well, yes?

Couldn't you just mask the bottle? My thinking would be that the shape of the mask wouldn't change, so you would just have one mask...
Great question. You could definitely do that and then just make sure you still show the wine pouring.
Levitating 🎨🖼😅
