Man am I glad I stumbled onto this channel. Outstanding setup. Totally realistic, sensible, and still gets you where you want to go. I have a 2016 Trailhawk with a very similar setup outside. I ended up going with 31” tires. You’re making me glad I decided not to go with 32s. Assuming that’s the size tire you’re running. I’m still running my stock spare, but I’ve got my eye on a hitch gate.
Hello from Cape Town, South Africa. I’m looking at changing my 2012 KK for a 2015 or 2016 KL Trailhawk and I love your setup. Could you tell me what your fuel consumption is now that you’ve got the 2” lift, bigger tyres, roof rack, swing gate, etc.?
How long do you find that the battery pack last running the fridge and then the diesel heater? Im looking at a hearter but dont no how much battery they use?
anyone can share more info about reliability on the 14/15/16 model? Google search tells me to stay away from them and buy later years but these are more affordable....
I bought a 2016 high altitude new with the 3.2L and active drive 2. The only issue I had was a problem with the battery sensor that lets the start/stop system work. Not a big issue for me as I always turned it off but had it fixed under warranty. We took it on many long road trips with zero issues. We traded it in June 2022 for a new Trailhawk Elite. We upgraded to the Trailhawk for Overlanding for the skid plates and locker. Other wise we would still own it. For us anyway our 2016 was great. I would avoid the 14-15 models due to tranny issues. They claimed to have fixed it with a program flash but a lot of people still had harsh shifts and it wanting to start off in second gear.
Any issues with the roof ? I put a tent with a chief rack on mine and I have people telling me it's just waiting to rip off the roof because of the Nurserts used to hold everything in place
So you get 12 mpg because of that Top Heavy Tent on top, how corny, get a ground tent and save lots of money, you don't have to be stupid to enjoy camping
Nice to see the cherokee trailhawk being used like this.

What size lift and tires/wheels do you have on it? And did it require work within the wheel well?

You can't seriously believe he drives with a tent on the roof.
