R.I.P. David Crosby (1941-2023) - May the seas lie smooth before you. May a gentle breeze forever fill your sails. May sunshine warm your face, And kindness warm your soul.
Ya man. Thanks for this! Nicely put, for a guy who sadly, will be missed. But he gave us a lot in the time he was here. Rock on David. Kind regards from the west coast of Canada. ss
I'd co-sign the beautiful music that was given to us by CSNY. At least I was Altamont concert and remembered your performance...bravo and your spirit is with me.

Many factors eventually directed the end of the war in 'Nam. Public opinion being just one of them, and you can bet that the music and lyrics from CSN & Y had a part in the process.
Really one of the most beautiful rock songs ever written. Lyrics are great, melody is great, harmonies were out of this world. When it came out I wore out the record vinyl.
David Crosby, we’ll always love you. It was kinda sad things got strange in the past few years probably cause you got more stubborn in your older years. Your legend will never die. Rest in peace brother.
RIP David Crosby, we will miss you as a legend musician❤✌🤟🙏Thank you for all you have done to the music world and for the folks who listens to your music.❤
I'm a dinosaur, as a freshman in HS, circa 1969 or 1970, I walked to Sears and bought this album, the best money I ever spent. I wore this CSN debut album out on a KLH stereo through Koss headphones every night falling asleep. For me, this is as good as it gets, I am grateful to be old and growing up in this era of unparalleled talent.
GEEZ Dude, you were *High Tech!* ...for me it was Bill Ursery's old *8-track car stereo* & a power supply, with two 45° plastic rear-deck speakers screwed to the wall above my pillow. . The things we do for tunes -
@@mikefloyd3152 - That may be, but they're older now. What's the point of holding a grudge? Hurt feelings? "I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday-ay-ay. " Crosby is sober, off the hard stuff, so why carry those sacks of rocks on their backs?
Effing awesome legend/survivor ! I love David Crosby, one of the all time great rock voices, so glad he laid his demons to rest & looks great in 2019....long live Croz .....
I saw Croz and this same band a few weeks later at Monmouth University in Long Branch, NJ. Small theater, great Setlist, and David playing and singing oh so well. I’ve seen Crosby on many occasions, with CN, CSN, and CSN&Y, but this personal performance is how I will remember him. One of the most influential people in rock music is gone, but will never be forgotten! I miss him so much! What an amazing talent. Oh that voice and those harmonies! 🎸🎸🎸🎸
Great version of this awesome song -- thanks so much for posting. Croz left an indelible mark on the world and it ain't quite the same without his incredible talent, honesty and sense of humor to put things in their proper perspective.
He's certainly considered a "top" respected, historical artist. He will always sell tickets no matter what. living legend status. Certainly paid his dues has no reason to prove himself to anyone. His legacy keeps him at the "top" level. Like James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Eric Clapton and, so on. All legendary artists and to think, they were all friends at one point or another. I would love to see Croz live! But he says he sold his publishing and he's done touring. Maybe I'll get lucky one day and get to meet him.
Grande Crosby! Grande postagem. Um abraço from Brasil. Crosby está com seu navio, tenho certeza. Grande postagem.
THIS IS SUCH AN ICONIC SONG. It introduced the Woodstock film to stunning effect ( at least to my very stoned self) and has obviously aged well as have the musicians, a true classic.
How many memories and wonderful moments with my old friends stopping to drink, listen and appreciate your music and your amazing voice, David Crosby was a special beings in this trouble world.

No actually they're better off without him the least talented of anyone I've ever seen huge coattail Rider matter of fact I think he stinks not a good musician at all
There Is an ora about these older bands and musicians Like wow calming it is. I like all types of music but but the older era is my place to be. they inspire other musicians to rock n roll the young and old. I am grateful to have listened to but not able to seen them all. Wow thank you to you all
It was years before I realized that Steven Still's guitar work on this song was on a 1953 Telecaster. I worked like mad to make my 1966 Barney Kessel sound like a Tele. Then, of course, I went out and bought a Tele.
Wow, I was looking at the backdrop and thought this looks like the show we saw at Boarding House Park, in Lowell, MA a couple of years ago. Then I reallized it was from that show. A fantastic fun night. Rock on, David Crosby.
Randy, the sound on this was full blown. Much better than a lot of my faves you have posted, for fullness of sound. I appreciate them all.. but this feel live.
I am deeply saddened, although I was able to experience David only twice, namely in 1986 at a festival with Stills & Nash in Augsburg / Germany and 2010 at the castle in Esslingen a.N. / Germany also with his two trusted musician colleagues. Thank you for everything David, in my heart you live on, as well as Jimy Hendrix, Jerry Garcia, Duane Allman, Duane Allman, Butch Trucks, Janis, Brain, Kurt........ rest in Peace
Beautiful slide solo at 5:00 minutes in, just adds to the magic and allure of this excellent track, reminds me of being on a sailboat alone on the open ocean

Rest in peace on your wooden ship, David. Thank you for all the great memories!!!
I'd co-sign the beautiful music that was given to us by CSNY. At least I was Altamont concert and remembered your performance...bravo and your spirit is with me.
I love David and this song just as much as I did 50 years ago.
Agree❣
Still has it - this song with this group sends chills.

Thanks D Crosby for letting us enjoy your music over the years. We will never forget you...
RIP David, you left your mark on this earth
And in Melissa Ethridge…
RIP David. You wrote some great songs over the years and you won’t be forgotten. Thank you!
Song carried a lot of meaning to us kids in the 60s & 70 who faced going to Vietnam!!!! Beautiful!!!
Many factors eventually directed the end of the war in 'Nam. Public opinion being just one of them, and you can bet that the music and lyrics from CSN & Y had a part in the process.
Thanks for your service. You guys didn't nearly get the welcome home that you should have.
Really one of the most beautiful rock songs ever written. Lyrics are great, melody is great, harmonies were out of this world. When it came out I wore out the record vinyl.
Crosby, Kantner, and Stills, don't get much better!
In tears. Love that ending. Thank you David Crosby.
Some tears as well🎶truly a legend
David Crosby, we’ll always love you. It was kinda sad things got strange in the past few years probably cause you got more stubborn in your older years. Your legend will never die. Rest in peace brother.
Rip David Crosby,legend 's Woodstock forever in our heart 🖤 🎸 😢
I was the drum tech on this tour, never saw this before, thanks for posting
very very beloved song, deep into me for ages. Farewell, David Crosby.

four way street
RIP David...Thanks for the music
So glad Crosby is continuing. Wish his mates would pack away past problems and continue with him.
Couldn’t agree more my friend, so sad, all in their twilight years as well, David is looking so frail these days. 👍🏻👍🏻
David is the one that would cause problems lol not young stills or nash

Wooden Ships is the only song I ever list twice in my all time favorite track listings.
This version and the Jefferson Airplane version too good songs
Me too, but I had Suite Judy Blue Eyes five times and Guinevere 47 times
Great version of this awesome song -- thanks so much for posting. Croz left an indelible mark on the world and it ain't quite the same without his incredible talent, honesty and sense of humor to put things in their proper perspective.
RIP David.. your music will last forever..
Rest in Peace David Crosby 😢❤
Magical song, great band, flying solo work from the lead and lap slide guitarists and David's still smooth voice - whats not to like?
One of the best versions ever
He/they just flat-out crush this! Freakin' awesome for a 76 year old. Pray for Croz to make it for one last swing around live!
Think stills cheese slipped but hey mines nor far behind.
😭
agree 100 wow
Awesome version, his voice is still amazing!
smiling all the way through this rocking version of this song! Lead guitar and David's vocal soaring...
After over 50 years as a rock star he is still at the top. Who can believe???? Rock on David!
Not really at the "top" at all. But he can still sell 800-1000 tickets, and that's not bad.
At the top!
Carving the Gorge That’s right. When you can sell out a stadium tour, you are at the top. He had his day though in two iconic bands

I'm so old I remember his poncho years and bangs. Anyone?
Thanks for all the music brother!
R.I.P. Never forget the music!
Wow!! That is the BEST version I have ever heard. Thank you.
Best I have heard it sound in 30 years.

That is a beautiful strat that Crosby is playing!
He knew how to make it sing, too!
What a great band. And David in such fine form. RIP
Thank you David Crosby, for the music that has filled my life since the 1960's. Rest in peace.
The young lady on the bass is killing it!

Thank you for posting this. it's as good as any group performance I've ever seen of this song.
I think he knew the value of freedom. Great sound on this one. RIP Crosby.
Inmortal David, you lighted my early years with your music, thanks a lot
Wonderful. A very powerful song. This music had such a potent impact on life. It’s a fair wind that blowers against the empire.
such a good energy of David!
Crosby has reached out to Stills & Nash. Multiple times. He’s better off without them now. 5 albums since 2014. More to come. Love you David.
Right on Man! 👍
I wouldn’t say he’s better without them any more than they are better without him. They all survive but are musically less than they might be.
Croz was difficult. Brothers can be that way. But the Brotherhood was strong.
No actually they're better off without him the least talented of anyone I've ever seen huge coattail Rider matter of fact I think he stinks not a good musician at all
😪RIP David Crosby - you helped create the soundtrack for my generation
We are leaving, you don't need us ...

MYTHICAL DAVID, THANKS
What a great version! Keep on keepin' on Croz!
Wow, I was looking at the backdrop and thought this looks like the show we saw at Boarding House Park, in Lowell, MA a couple of years ago. Then I reallized it was from that show. A fantastic fun night. Rock on, David Crosby.
RIP and so many thanks to you and all the band for the happiness and love that music gives us.
So glad I got to see him in Manchester, England, a few years ago. Amazing gig. RIP Croz
Will sure miss hearing new music from you, David. Thankfully there are videos and cds to keep you forever alive! 💔
Genius is every regard!
I will miss you David, as you begin your new adventure on the other side. Rest in Peace. 1/18/2023
Crosby is actually peaking this late in his career when 99% of his peers his age have blown out their vocals.
Crosby is alive...beautiful voice
Very nice lead guitar on this performance I must say.
Thanks for all the magic and all the good moments, David. You stay in our hearts.
One of the best harmonizing bands ever. 🙏
Randy, the sound on this was full blown. Much better than a lot of my faves you have posted, for fullness of sound. I appreciate them all.. but this feel live.
David's come out on the other side of hell
Outstanding rendition of this iconic tune! Steel guitar, fantastic!!!
Superb live version!
So chill, so good. I will never forget the era when I first heard this album, when I had just started college.
He still got it
Ty 4 share💋
HOT band and man
on 🔥 ♥️🔥
Thank you for this video. Was hoping I'd get to see him again 💔
Nothing beats listening to this when it was new and I was about 19. I remember some very psychedelic nights in Tahoe listening to CSNY.
RIP, David. And, thank you. ❤
This is great!
My favorite song....CSNY❣
Go David, Yes BUT... OMG I'm in love with the bass player!
Who isn't. Saw this group in Estes Park, CO.
So is the guy playing the laptop slide........he's her husband, Greg!
Greg Leisz is a treat. Catch him doing Pipeline with Bill Frisell on YT. And what can anyone say about Pevar? He burns the house down.
I am deeply saddened, although I was able to experience David only twice, namely in 1986 at a festival with Stills & Nash in Augsburg / Germany and 2010 at the castle in Esslingen a.N. / Germany also with his two trusted musician colleagues.

So long Croz, thanks for the music
Beautiful slide solo at 5:00 minutes in, just adds to the magic and allure of this excellent track, reminds me of being on a sailboat alone on the open ocean
That’s Greg Leisz 💜
One of the leaders of our generation. He left such a legacy for us all. ❤
Great version
One of my all time favorite songs. Heard it covered by my friends in an artists warehouse in Haiku Maui in 75. Years later found out who wrote it...
Ot was nice to see Crosby move out of the way when the slide player did his solo.
Said it before ,but many many thank you. You were us . Peace.
Love David live.
Absolutely cool and charismatic! Please, David, never do a CS&N Reunion again!!
Thank you for this posting. Red Strat!
thank you david....
wow this is good
sure is. Quite surprised.
Hoping you and Garcia are having a blast. May the 4 winds roll you safely home!! RIP Croz
wow...awesome.....
great performance, deserves 1 Mio views instead of 5k
love Croz
To quote Neil from one of his songs : "but the wooden ships were just a hippie dream, capsized in excess, if you know what I mean..."
“My whole ‘'Wooden Ships,’ wanting-to-sail-forever fantasy was bullshit. " David Crosby. _Rolling Stone_, June 2, 1977.
You are Legend David, the last hippie❤
Wooden Ships And Traid are the pinnacle for me
Traid?….Triad
David sounds great; but really miss CSN and CSNY, come on guys will you please get your shit together, we need you now more than ever.
