I'm not a native english speaker, so I started to watch this channel just because Jonathan's english is easy to understand and I could improve my english by seeing and listening to things about ocean (water) - I have never been to the sea. But... I simply fell in love about Scuba diving... When I am watching your videos it seems to me I am flying, in a such amazing peace, like a dream... In fact I don't know how to describe well... All I can say is: this is one of the best things in my life. There's no sadness here. I just love it. Thank you for your work. Keep on going... (I am from Brazil).
Thanks for your kind comments and for watching! Your English is way better than my Portuguese!
@@BlueWorldTV that is a bit true.
Yeah ‼️‼️‼️
I’m good at English but we learn very mighty important lessons
I'm a recent zoology graduate, and this episode had me starry-eyed the whole time! Cnidarians were one of my favourite groups to learn about, and re-living some of my classes through this video was fantastic - thank you to you and your crew for producing such incredible content!
Thanks!!!
The More You Know...
Thanks Jonathan
This is not just a vdo or a content... It's the most helpful and informative for every NEET Aspirant or Students of a specific class... It helped me alot... I respect you sir for doing such marvelous job ❤✨
I unfortunately know what fire coral feels like...and it’s not good at all lol. I’ve always loved these informational videos of yours...they’re always so cool and I learn a lot!
Pretty much every diver will EVENTUALLY end up having a fire coral experience!
@@BlueWorldTV Oh lord.
@@BlueWorldTV are the best!!!!!!!!🥳👍
Woooow
😊
I would like to see Netflix buy a few seasons of Blue World.
You and me both. Like all 8 seasons!
Lol
Wow I didn’t know corals are related to jellyfish
I believe their dictionary definition is synonymous with "cool"
Jonathan Birds likes a swimming dictionary.
Only smarter than a dictionary
Really this is marvelous. I cannot even believe my eyes. You have brought out the marvelous blue world in front of our eyes. Thnk you so much 🙂
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
Fire Coral: the reason I wear gloves😅
This is very helpful for biology stdudents
thanks sir
Very beautiful animals and nature! 🐙🐚🐡🌿
Love the ocean!
This makes my want to dive, but it’s still winter.
Same here
Always wanted too
I dive year round. I have a thick wet suit, but most folks around here use dry suits. Surprisingly, the water is often a few degrees warmer than the air due to its thermal mass, although of course water conducts heat away from the body faster than air does. (I *would* prefer a dry suit, but because I'm really tall and fairly thin I'd need a custom made one for the best fit, and they're out of my price range. In the mean time, my custom-made "Farmer John" wet suit keeps me toasty warm except on deeper dives, when the foam is compressed so much that it doesn't insulate as well. As long as I stay above 50 feet or so, I'm fine, and there are plenty of shore dives where there's a lot so see even at 30 feet or less. )
@@seikibrian8641 The air/H2O difference is always my problem. I need to get one of those Surf-Fur jackets to keep me from freezing on surface intervals hahaha
@@viperpm I'm not familiar with the Surf-Fur; I'll have to look into that. I have a long-sleeved 'dryrobe Advanced,' but it's not as warm as I'd like. On one group dive a couple of years ago one, of the buddies earned points with the rest of the group by bringing a propane heater to put in the shelter, and I had brought an insulated jug of warm Gatorade. There was still snow on the ground, but we did two dives with a 30-minute interval. The heater and warm drink made it a nice day. (BTW, I just checked, and it looks like the dryrobe is no longer available.)
Amazing video , thank you Jonathan .
I don't know why but this video is making me happier🙃
Yay! Cnidarians are fun animals, they always make me happy when I see them too!
Thanks a lot blue world for giving us amazing feel of coelenterates...
After studying ncert it feels so good to see these beautiful animals❤
It feels so fanastic to see the function of cnidoblast
I can't express how much I'm thankful to you❤
Whole phylum in couple of minutes...loved itt🙃
Thank you so much 😀
Cnidarians are so cool! my favorite cnidarians are probably Portuguese man-of-war and bioluminescent comb jellies. :)
Comb jellies are not actually cnidarians. They do not have nematocytes and they don't sting. They are in their own phylum called Ctenophores. I find it amusing that they got a phylum name that also contains a silent "c".
My favorite is the immortal jellyfish, it is able to reverse the aging process, but can die if their central nervous system thing is destroyed.
Best channel on UA-cam
Great to see you return to some natural history content! Love the wreck and cave diving but didn’t realize how much we had missed the species related episodes.
Yeah, we were a little bit held hostage by COVID and what we had available.
It is fascinating that something so beautiful can be so dangerous.
Just love this video ❤️
Reasons for swimming in the ocean: sharkies aren't scary but can be really cute. reasons against swimming in the ocean: box jellies can sting as in STING, & aren't alone!!!
I remember first watching your videos back in my first year of high school. Your videos were always what I look forward too the most in my biology classes
Awesome!! Must have had a cool teacher!
I liked how educational this video was and my GF liked that you didn't interrupt for subscribers.
Sometimes you gotta interrupt for subscribers because that's what keeps us going!

As a kid, jellyfish were my favorite animals!
Your channel is just so informative...I can't resist to binge-watch 😂
I was just thinking the other day how much I wish your channel would make videos about very specific groups of marine creatures and then you made this video about cnidarians as if you read my mind :)
More to come!

Thank you for this great information❤. It really helped in my studies, but you could also add about corals and metagenesis too. I think it's very basic. Btw love your content 💗... It always helps me in my studies 💛☺
Wow I am shocked I want to dive down now I have always wanted to go this place
Ooo blue world will always out do me! Jealous :)
Maybe we should collaborate on something?
@@BlueWorldTV that would be amazing for my channel. Im in vietnam and can dive with a go pro haha. But my channel is mostly doing animal facts and trying to educate about climate change

Great 👍
I’m sad blueworldtv isn’t so popular anymore who’s been here for years?
It's just as popular as ever!
Thank you! 👌
You're welcome!
Never announce you’ve been stung by a jelly. Unless you want an offer to be peed on. Lol
Hey, it helps! LOL!
I don't wanna get PEED ON
@@BlueWorldTV it actually doesn’t. Depending on which jellyfish stung you and the ph of the person’s urine, it might do nothing or even worsen the sting. Vinegar is better for deactivating the stings.
Wow
More videos please! ☺️
I'm taking jelly off the menu!!!
Will you guys ever go diving in Antarctica/ the Artic again? Those are my favorite episodes you guys have ever done! Something about the vibe that environment gives makes for great watching. Excellent video as always BlueWorld crew!
I am going back to Antarctica in January on an assignment. Not sure if we will be able to make a Blue World while we are there.
Anyone taking bio 101 and 102 deff should watch this! I’m surprised I remember most of the stuff
Very informative as always!
Good job
