The sustain on that instrument is unreal.

I was moved. Near the end I was almost crying; great music. No poses, no coreographic movements, the technique is so excellent that it disappears. Everything serving the music. Thank you Alan 🙏🏻. What a wonderful artist you are. 👏🏼😊

. . . and, once again, the confluence of three great masters of their respective arts (Weiss/Turrentine/Mearns) creates a moving and unforgettable experience.

Wonderful on all levels. You have one of the most 'poised' right hands I've seen! The Passacaglia played in C when compared to the ones in D has a lot of appeal with its higher voicing, and although the D arrangements have their own appeal with the deep drop d tuning, I find I am not missing it when listening to this version. The cross string playing is great as are the double string trills, and the ornamentation is fantastic and is akin to that done by an accomplished harpsichord player. Bravo!

The only classical guitarist I've heard play Weiss and be in the same league as Robert Barto. The Turrentine guitar helps!

Love everything from Weiss, and your interpretation is sublime, as always. Just like in other instances, your sensitive rendition leads me to tears. Your cross-string trills are just hypnotic. I feel that one cannot play Weiss properly without mastering this technique. And we can always trust your mastery.

Beautiful piece and so nicely articulated and played. The guitar is stunning I'm surprised by the long taper under the fingerboard extension rarely seen a guitar build this way ! Thanks for the little biography on Jacob Weiss I never did heard of him but the prejudice is now repaired Thanks Alan

Really nice!. Right and left hand doing two different styles of trills...impressive. Extreme version of rubbing your stomach and patting your head at the same time. :) The sustain on that guitar is amazing.

Mag-ni-fi-cent! And such a beautifully crafted guitar. My grand dad was an amateur luthier, I've seen plenty of lutes, guitars, violins as a kid. Great work. Nice shooting, as well. Improvisation duels, that makes the film Crossroads pale in comparison :)))
