Showing how I make a right hand cross draw holster with a slight cant. It's a mexican loop holster in the Montana Style and is extremely sturdy, made from 10-12 oz Wickett and Craig tooling leather and lined with a smooth 3-4 oz. Additionally, I'm making a fully tooled and lined cartridge belt for a SAA .357. On this rig I used a combination of machine stitching and hand (saddle stitching). Dyed a chocolate brown and oiled with pure neatsfoot oil.

Thought I was having flash back moments there. I think you put on that holster loop 3 times or my tablet is jumping back like a broken record. Great looking holster, as usual.

Beautiful. How wide is the cartridge belt, if you don't mind me asking? And do you base the width of the belt on cartridge length, or do you have a different system for determining the width, or do you just have a set width for all of your work so holsters will fit regardless?

Turned out really great. One question what does the glass thing do for the leather 👍👍👍👌👌

im guessing it squeegees out the water evenly from the surface of the leather for working.

It is used to compress and remove stretch from the leather in preparation for tooling. When you tool leather it tends to stretch out causing fitting problems later on. Some people use tape on the back to reduce stretching instead of the glass slicker. After the tooling is finished and the leather dries, the tape is removed, the leather oiled, dyed and finished. The slicker can on some leathers with a softer grained surface, cause the tooling to not achieve the desired depth and to appear flatter. Which generally is not a problem on thicker leathers vs thinner pieces.
