Some other countries i wonder about while scrolling randomly on google maps are-
Togo, Uruguay, Lebanon, Eswatini, Malawi, Brunei, Micronesia, Bhutan, Mali, North Macedonia, Belize, Nicaragua, Malta.
We never hear about these countries as well, would be nice if you could make a part 2 on these as well 😄
Macedonia, Lebanon, Mali and Brunei are actually quite mid popular
A lot of them have rich history and/or major influence on the neighbouring countries. Brunei is known as that rich kingdom with gold-ridden royal family. Mali is known from the north Africa from its rich history of Mali empire. Macedonia is a former greek/ottoman territory. And Lebanon is even mentioned in the Bible.
I wanted to make a list of quick associations...ended up racist😅
Wait, Macedonia's still around?
As a brazilian, it's funny to me that you know nothing about Uruguay. It's a small country that borders my state, so I've been there many times. The main city is Montevideo and it's beautiful. The coastal cities are amazing too, but the water is quite cold. It's a very safe, developed and modern country.
@@lulubibilu tbf Uruguay doesn't ring a bell in terms of foreign affairs in many countries. It is like Lichtenstein or Andorra, developed but lowkey and not many people actually know them.
I think Zambia looks like a flexing arm and fist
As soon as I saw zambia, I thought I was looking at a developing fetus
@@bcfeigful Oh, interesting
I think it looks like the pokemon geodude
It looks like a hook
Looks like a cartoon character with a weird ponytail
Fun fact: the currency that he showed for St. Lucia is actually an outdated version, we have a newer one now
Please make a deep dive video on Peru, Hungary, or Scotland
Cool video. Please bring a part 2 along.
Always good to see another video
Could you do a map video on what if we removed all the HIC's/MEDC's? And also the LIC'S/LEDC's? Love your content.
Always excited for a geography lesson on Sunday. Thanks and keep it up!
If you're not drinking or at church, you might as well be learning!
i love your videos and you have a nice voice
Man said St. luseeah
This was a cool one!
Namibia deserves a mention
What happened to "OCEANIA"?
Yeah, what did happen to Oceania?
You mean the continent??
He just can't pronounce Oceania for some reason where there's nothing as Oceana. Geography by Geoff UA-cam channel and Many Other UA-cam channels that deal with Geography Content has Way More Subscribers, Likes, etc because This Channel has More Mistakes Too. For those who state Oceania as Continent, Oceania is a Region that has 2 Continents of Australia that is known more as Continent though it's also a Country, Island, etc. The other continent in Oceania is Zealandia where most of it is submerged though New Zealand lies on it
Oceania is not a country so go cry in the bushes.
its disrespectful to the people of oceana.
I agree. You do need to pay more attention to Djibouti.
What If the Sahara was Green
Sahara was once green that was periodically vegetated too including 6000 years ago
I wonder if the Amazon would become a desert
Palau's biggest island is Babeldaob, also the largest island in the Micronesian region and its capital only moved from Koror to Ngerulmud in 2006. It is the smallest capital by population in the world and its name means place of fermented angelfish. The country is home to Jellyfish Lake, home to thousands of jellyfish. In 2016, the president ran for office against his brother in law. In 2020, Palau was the first country to ban brands of sunscreen which were poisonous to coral reefs. It is one of the few homes of the Nicobar pigeon (the closest relative of the dodo) and the country is mentioned in Enya's song "Orinoco Flow".
some countries i'd like to add - vanuatu, seychelles, trinidad and tobago, suriname, and moldova
The Seychelles have the highest gdp in Africa and it's a popular travel destination for the wealthy.
Moldova - remember the song Dragostea Din Tei (not sure how to write it)? That's from Moldova 😀Moldova is one of the poorest and least visited countries in Europe. They speak Romanian. Apparently Modovans can apply for Romanian citizenship, so I learned from a Moldovan colleage who's going through this process.
Suriname isn't a mystery country to me since I'm Dutch. It's the most forested country in the world and also one of the most ethnically diverse. Their food is amazing by the way 😋
If you've never been to Port Djibouti, consider yourself lucky. It is only marginally better than the island of Socotra. My youngest daughter spent three years in Georgia with the Peace Corps.
Palau is also where the movie Journey 2: The Mysterious Island took place in
*Talks about a new country*
"This country is the largest and the most populated country we discussed so far
Yes
Put some respect on Cabo Verde's name! All lusophone countries know about it. Cheers from Brazil.
A little known and useless fact about Cabo Verde. There are no snakes there. Just like Ireland.
Also there is a massive population of Cape Verdeans in my home city of Brockton Massachusetts one of the only other places in the world you’ll find them
@@evanbeery3619 That's interesting. How did they end up in Massachusetts?
I like learning more about Latin America because they remind me as a mixture of North America and Eastern Europe.
thx - well presented
This list was like the maddeningly difficult final round of the kids game show Where In The World Is Carmen San Diego?
MURICA!!!!
Zambia is shaped like a bicep flex 💪🏾
São Tomé and Príncipe gang
OMG FINALLY ANOTHER SÃO TOMÉ AND PRÍNCIPE LOVER 🇸🇹🇸🇹🇸🇹
pronounced: saint lu-sha
No love for Seborga 😕
That's a micronation, not a country.
I really hope Djibouti has a Sheikh
Next week, 'Countries I mispronounce', (that'll be a long one) and countries beginning with Z.
🇺🇸
confused if being mentioned in this video is good or bad
👍🏾⭕️👌🏾
For the algorithm
You're mispronouncing Podgorica. In most Slavonic languages the letter "c" is soft.
What you didn't mention about Belarus, it's the last country in Europe officially recognised as totalitarian.
Palau's capital name 💀
No
f
Here first
I can only criticise your pronunciation. Palau is in Oceania - pronounced osh.an.ia not och.ian.a. St Lucia is normally pronounced saint lu.sha (although saint lu.si.a is passable - you will find the local tourist board prefers ain't lu.sha!). As for the capital of Montenegro - the Cyrillic script gives it away! Podgorica looks like it should be pod.go.ri.ka, but Cyrillic has pod.go.ri.tsa!! If you’re going to present a video using foreign pronunciations, make sure they’re correct. Just saying.
Now go visit them all. Stay at least 1 month in each.
