You guys have really been putting in work lately. Your videos are some of the better “list” on UA-cam. I look forward to seeing you guys continue to succeed.
Something I would've NEVER thought about, holy crap! A triple threat match between Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, and Ken Shamrock! That would be a wrestlemania moment from bell to bell!!!!!
Gonna have to disagree on Braun for reasons you mentioned. In the golden era, he would have been just another monster for Hulk Hogan to overcome. They were a dime a dozen back then, and very few of them ever broke out of Hogan’s shadow. In today’s WWE he’s in the spotlight, back then, he’d have likely been lost in the shuffle.
@@CompelledUsername by that logic, though, almost everyone outside of your absolute top of the ladder A-listers like Cena and Reigns would be better off in that era, simply because wrestling was a bigger part of the cultural zeitgeist back then. Also, without being overly dismissive of those guys and their body of work, I had literally forgotten most of those guys till you mentioned their names. Like, of course, I knew them once you said them, but if you’d have asked me to name guys from that era, I’m not sure any of those would have come to mind for me.
@@CompelledUsername I'd consider myself to be quite a fan of wrestling and I legitimately don't know any of those guys outside of Big Boss Man. The guys you named aren't memorable at all. i'd argue Braun would be more remembered in 30 years than most of them.
Another woman from the Ruthless Aggression era that would be better suited to the modern era is Gail Kim. The women of her era, as well as the Attitude era, were hired based on looks. Very few (Victoria, Ivory, Jacqueline, Lita, Molly) could actually wrestle. Trish Stratus worked her butt off to become a credible wrestler. Imagine the classic matches Gail Kim could have with the likes of Bailey, Charlotte Flair, Asuka, Becky Lynch, etc.
This was one of the most interesting wrestling videos I’ve seen in quite some time. Some of the guys we dismiss, would have been amazing in a different generation. Bret Hart would be my example. Bret was serious in a time of goofy gimmicks.
Jack Swagger in the golden era. I could easily see him working for Jim Crockett as the United States or TV champion or as the muscle in a combination power/high flyer tag team.
Jon Moxley/Dean ambrose comes to my mind, Don't get me wrong he was an awesome wrestler during the shield days. And even now, He is doing an amazing Job in AEW. But imagine if he was around during the attitudes era?
Kaitlyn should also be in the modern era with AJ Lee. Not only could the two be believable women's tag team champions but Kaitlyn could have a long term storyline about how her friends (AJ Lee, Alexa Bliss, and Nikki Cross) are all crazy, until its revealed the reason is because at some point Kaitlyn brainwashes them into becoming crazy because Kaitlyn is actually Sister Abigail.
Because you mentioned the Alpha Academy, I definitely can't wait for their team to turn face. However, I think that their team could grow into a faction with Chad Gable and Otis as a tag team, Gable Stevenson as the world/midcard wrestler, and Jason Jordon as a manager (since he can't wrestle but knows business), Kurt Angle could join as well but his place depends if he wrestles or not.
They are super under rated but i wonder if they would get over as babyfaces. Otis always makes me miss Heavy Machinery though vince screwed us all by breaking them up for nothing.
I think Ted DiBiase, Curt Hennig, Rick Rude, Randy Savage, Haku, Rick Martel, the Rougeus, the Hart Foundation, and a litany of others would disagree with your assessment of requirements of heels during the Golden Era.
@@attiepollard7847 He works well today because there aren't as many people that are good on the mic so he stands out. But as other dude said, he would get buried in the attitude era. He's small and doesn't have HBK or Jericho charisma imo.
If Omos was around in the 80s he probably would have been saddled with a racially insensitive gimmick The viking Raiders are sort of a cash in for a niche audience, similar to pirate Paul Birchall was an attempt to cash in on fans of Pirates of the Caribbean. Viking cosplay is popular right now thanks to video games like Assassins Creed Valhalla and the God of War 2018 reboot and sequel. Gamers are quite often fans of wrestling
IT'S WRESTLE WITH ANDY AND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!!! I think Mox would have worked perfect in ECW or The Attitude Era Well... They say "Better late than never" but... I say "Never late is always better"
Shamrock is beloved online I noticed imo for good reason. I think he deserved more titles than he got but I think his fame as a UFC fighter in the 90s was why he was hamstrung. Plus Dan Severn who WWE tried out before Ken also made them tentative on any significant push with him at least that's what I think was at least a small part
10.) Cesaro - Golden Era 09.) Tazz - Modern Era 08.) "Broken" Matt Hardy - Attitude Era 07.) Dean Ambrose - Ruthless Agression Era 06.) Bobby Lashley - Golden Era 05.) The Brood (Gangrel) - Modern Era 04.) "Golden Standard" Shelton Benjamin - Modern Era 03.) Aleister Black - Ruthless Agression Era 02.) Bobby Roode - Attitude Era 01.) SEAN O'HAIRE - Modern Era
Mr. Kennedy would have fit perfectly in the attitude era. Him vs. the Rock would have been epic. Ken Shamrock vs. Kurt Angle should have happened. Ankle lock vs. ankle lock.
@@tertmade9769 That's an interesting take. Although there aren't many wrestlers who could actually take on Brock Lesnar and maybe succeed. Kurt Angle certainly could. Mark Henry definitely could. We have seen John Cena and Roman Reigns be able to defeat him. Mr Kennedy? I'm not sure. But if the late great Eddie Guerrero could do it, anything is possible!
@WRESTLE WITH ANDY I wanted to point out a few discrepancies that I noticed in this video. (1) Prior to his success in the world of MMA/UFC. And before his rise to stardom in WWE during the late 1990s... ''Ken Shamrock'' actually had a career as a (Professional Wrestler). In 1988, Shamrock trained to be professional wrestler under ''Buzz Sawyer'', ''Nelson Royal'', and ''Gene Anderson''. His pro-wrestling debuted came in 1989. When he worked in Nelson Royal's North Carolina-based ''ACW'' (Atlantic Coast Wrestling) promotion. Under the ring name ''Wayne Shamrock''. After ACW folded, Shamrock went to work for the (George Scott/Paul Jones)-run promotion ''South Atlantic Pro Wrestling'', which initially promoted under the banner of the (North American Wrestling Association). Under the ring name to ''Vince Torelli''. In the summer of 1990 Shamrock applied for a tryout in the Japanese based (UWFI) Union of Professional Wrestling Force International. Which was one of the first ''MMA Shoot'' promotions, one of the forerunner to (UFC and PRIDE Fighting). (2) 'Debrah Ann Miceli AKA 'Madusa''. Began her pro-wrestling in 1984, and was trained by Eddie Sharkey. In 1986, she first gained notoriety in ''Verne Gagne's'' legendary American Wrestling Association (AWA). Where she would work as both a Wrestler and sometimes Manager for varies male stars. In 1988, Miceli would go on to become the first woman to be awarded ''Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Rookie of the Year''. She was also briefly married to the late ''Eddie Gilbert''.
Michelle McCool in the post brand split Women's Evolution era world would have ate. She was always an entertaining talker, and the rate in which she improved was so fast. And even her return at the rumble was pretty good despite being away for so long.
Thank the Gods for AJ Lee being involved when she was because I truly believe she more than anybody helped turn it all around. Many others showed what women can do in wrestling with ability but AJ was the one that said no this BS needs to stop and we need to actually do it and not the other stuff on the side or in the middle or underlined or anything else.
FINALLY! I thought I was the only one that thought AJ Lee was in a terrible time for the WWE Womens Division. It really sucks because once she left, the Divas Division finally died and the Womens Revolution started in late 2015. Talk about HARD Bad Timing.
I think someone that definitely deserves to be on this list is Michelle McCool and put her in this era of women’s wrestling. Michelle can still go in the ring and everything is flawless and right on time.
Really great list. Jinsei Shinzaki had some great matches in FMW and AJPW. And yeah, he was so underrated in wwf at the time, but he really made an impression on me back then.
Cool video. Makes me think about moving guys around from era to era and creating dream match-up scenarios. Imagine Goldust against Exotic Adrian Street. Strike Force versus Alpha Academy. The Road Warriors versus Ascension, because it'd be fun to watch the bloodbath. Or, the Road Warriors versus the Bludgeon Brothers. The Usos against the Rockers? Shawn Michaels against Seth Rollins. Roman against the Rock. Angle against Shamrock. Muta against Shinsuke. Bull Nakano against Piper Niven. Lanny Poffo as the Genius against Damien Sandow. The possibilities are endless.
On the Topic of Kennedy thriving in the Attitude Era,look at what he did in TNA as Mr. Anderson. He was pretty over before TNA dropped the ball on him,for the same reasons you point out, TNA didn't script their promos, so he was allowed to go wild and thrived.
Ken shamrock should be in WWE hall of Fame intercontinental champ, tag team champ, not to mention the legendary chair shot from the rock , showed that shamrock was the original beast
Sean O'Haire - would have been perfect for this modern era. Strong guy who could fly with ease and his Seanton Bomb was impeccable compared to Jeff Hardys Swanton Bomb. He was so different compared to his peers at the time that I don't think anyone knew what to with him. He had "it" and was the standout for me in WCW's dying days.
Strowman would have been better for The New Generation era rather than The Golden Era, someone that big but not steroid big in The New Generation with that ringwork would've been a star in the mid 90s, especially if Kevin nash was WWE Champion for nearly a year (not a knock on Nash)
We need to have a discussion about the golden era. I think the attitude eta was the golden era because it was a perfect mix of entertainment and great technical wrestling. For the stat nerds, the numbers back up my point too.
I’m an attitude era guy but i must say attitude era wrestling wasn’t that good and not much technical. That was the ruthless aggression era where the wrestling started to get much better
Hakushi's problem was he was in the wrong organization at the wrong time. If he had been in WCW a few years earlier instead he would have put on 5 star master class matches against other Japanese opponents like The Great Muta and Jushin Thunder Liger or American Wrestlers like Brian Pillman, Beautiful Bobby Eaton, Barry Windham and even Sting.
The weird thing with AJ Lee is she *was* the bridge between PG era and modern era women's wrestling and she is now old enough to have inspired enough women on the roster *now* to that having her starting in the modern era would create this weird paradox. Some people have to walk so others could run and I think Madusa is sadly in the same boat.
I'll give you some examples you've missed: Dr. Death Steve Williams - Late Golden Era: He'd have had a better run then than in the Attitude Era (up to 1997-98) Ivory - Late Golden Era: She'd have had a more solid career and alongside Sherri Martel I could've seen her having a rivalry with Alundra Blayze, Wendi Richter (if not for you know what), and maybe even Luna. That's not to say she wasn't good in the attitude era, I just think she'd have been just as great earlier on in the fed. Would've still ended her career at the same time Jacqueline - Late Golden Era: Same reason as Ivory. As for Madusa/Alundra Blayze, problem was there was a lack of female talent (Vince didn't understand its value). Someone once told me they saw her wrestle one time, and she heard her after a match saying: "Hey Vince give me some REAL talent here". Had Vince taken female talent more seriously then, we'd have seen some interesting things (imagine a resurrected rivalry with Sherri Martel for example, and being allies with Wendi Richter). Shamrock wasn't exactly out of place but he could've came in a little bit later for sure
Seeing how he’s basically Mr. AEW Jon Moxly is doing just fine but I feel like his days as Dean Ambrose in WWE would’ve been so much better spent in the ruthless aggression era. There was a segment where Mick Foley literally said “consider this a passing of the torch” and gave him his signature barbed wire bat but because WWE was PG absolutely nothing came out of it and I cannot for the life of me remember a single time they let him use the damn thing
I feel like FTR wouldn't be better in the 80s. What makes them special is that they have an 80s style and adapt it to every opponent today. But during the 80s, having the 80s style wouldn't be special and they would take the heavy risk of being lost in the sea of tag teams
CM Punk and John Moxley would have been amazing in 90s ECW. I can imagine the insanity of them taking on Prime Sabu, Taz, Raven and RVD. I also think Gunther is the rare wrestler that works in any era. He’s got the size, skill and major aura/Presence.
As good as John Cena was could you imagine how much better he would've been in the 1980s. That's kinda scary to think about because of how good he did in the ruthless aggression and PG Era despite probably having a better career in the 1980s. Crazy.
People would have brought into him a lot more back then. With the era he was in, it felt like he was shoved down our throats. It's only because the Cena kids have grown up why he's rated now
Here's my 2nd list 10. The Vaudevillians (The New Generation) 9. The Viking Raiders (The New Generation) 8. "Superstar" Billy Graham (Rock 'N' Wrestling) 7. Omos (Rock 'N' Wrestling) 6. Jinder Mahal (Rock 'N' Wrestling) 5. Straight Edge Society (The Attitude Era) 4. Jackson Andrews (Rock 'N' Wrestling) 3. Kizarny (Rock 'N' Wrestling) 2. Jon Moxley (The Attitude Era) 1. The Great Khali (Rock 'N' Wrestling)
Karrion Kross-Golden Ultimo dragon-Current AEW or AAA Matt Riddle-Ruthless Aggression smackdown Roman Reigns- Attitude Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes- new gen Mandy Rose- Attitude The Miz-Ruthless Aggression Kevin Owens, Darby Allin, Jon Moxley, Nick Gage, Eddie Kingston- OG ECW The Fiend-Attitude or Ruthless
I’d add Chyna to the list. Yes, she was a big star, but she was in a bad spot - management didn’t really want her wrestling men, but she was leagues ahead of the women’s division at the time, which was mostly models and T&A, with a small handful of trained wrestlers like Ivory and Luna.
And perfectly timed since MMA wasn't so stigmatized but also still mildly mythical at the time (and yes I think that and the fact Dan Severn failed prior to Shamrock is the reason why)
Ken Shamrock vs Kurt Angle vs Chris Benoit is a dream match. Two technician specialists in a triple match is how I would book it. The World’s Most Dangerous Man vs The Olympic Hero vs the Rabid Wolverine.🔥🔥
I'd say the 80's was the most successful and popular time period. Not the Attitude Era. They would have sold more merchandise if Hulk Hogan had more than two t-shirts. Imagine if Hogan had a new t-shirt every 6 months like Austin or every month like Cena when he was bringing 20-30 million viewers to the product and filling 93,000 seat arenas. The fact is, if Vince was more business savvy back then like he was 10 years later, he would have been printing money.
I think Medusa/Blayze as champion actually hindered the womens division during the golden era. Her repetitive style buried many of her opponents in-ring work at the time. She was definitely a fan of doing all her moves in 3's over and over and over
He did as he started in wreastling in the 80s and moved to a Japanese shoot wrestling company in the 90s which ended up being on of the forerunners for UFC and PRIDE. The Iron sheik, Dan servern, Bob backlund, vader and nunzio also competed in those Japanese events at some point.
A controversial one I have is Cameron as she has met decision to go down to NXT to really improve in the ring considering she was only given two months before going on tv is something that would have been better received now and it would have given her more opportunities to succeed
I never can understand the hate on Omos, people be saying he suck like what do you expect from a 400 lb 7'3 giant. The wrestling world have become too comfortable with flippy shit from big men. Big men should not do those moves or at the very least save it for special occasions like the The Undertaker and his dive a t wrestlemania
Omos just in the wrong era. He can't wrestle at all and it's not the 2005ish days any more with the great khali and such that he can get away with it. Nowadays big men are athletic and can move around with jumping around. Even back then big show, kane, mark henry etc all could move in the ring, Braun and Walter can with ease. Omos can not
This also reminds me of the fiend when it debuted in 2019. This was in the wrong era for sure and would have worked in the attitude or ruthless aggression era. Imagine the fiend vs undertaker, kane and mankind.
I kinda disagree with chad gable in the ruthless agression era. The problem is that, in that era, Vince was still pushing big guys, and chad gable is a small guy even if you compare him with eddie guerrero, benoit, Shawn michaels, jericho. Also those guys had great charisma, and Chad still needs to improve alot in that area. I think Chad Gable is in the correct era, he just needs a solo run
Man i can only imagine what WWE would be like today if Sasha Banks, Aj Lee, Naomi, Nia Jax, Ember Moon, Paige, Samoa Joe, Andrade Cien Almas, Alister Black, Adam Cole, Daniel Bryan, Big Cass, Enzo Amoré, & CM Punk were in still in WWE. Especially the the women. Bc i think the women’s division would be absolutely hot right now if the ladies i listed were stills there.

Who will be remembered more in 30 years? Big Boss Man, One Man Gang, Kamala, Earthquake, or Braun? Being remembered is what matters in wrestling.
FACTS! Those women could wrestle their asses off!!! Gosh I miss them so much!
Don't forget Jazz and Nidia.
@@edro51188 Agreed about Jazz, but I don't remember many of Nidia's matches.
@@stevegallo8483 Nidia sadly didn't get many opportunities, but she showed a lot of decent skills in the matches she was in.
@@edro51188 That would be why I don't remember her matches. I mostly remember her for working with Jamie Noble.
Gail Kim in The Women's Evolution times of today? Can you Imagine? 🤯
Yeah, Jack Swagger definitely is this kind of guy. Shocked he wasn't brought up actually. Pre-Hogan WCW? I can see him fitting perfectly in that era.
I've always thought Jon Moxley belonged in the attitude era
Jon Moxley STARTED as an backyard/DIY wrestler
FACTS or in ecw.
@@cliffordjackson3 watch moxley's CZW'S videos
ECW for sure
Ruthless Aggression too
I'd like to see AJ Lee come back for one more run
Eva Marie in the attitude era
Jon Moxley/Dean ambrose comes to my mind, Don't get me wrong he was an awesome wrestler during the shield days. And even now, He is doing an amazing Job in AEW. But imagine if he was around during the attitudes era?
He did Wrestle in the Attitude Era in Dark Matches
Otis always makes me miss Heavy Machinery though vince screwed us all by breaking them up for nothing.
well you predicted the faction part
@@3verlongironically yeah
Dean malenko would of been class in 2014-2020 NXT
Shamrock actually got to work with Jericho for a bit. In fact it was Jericho who in kayfabe ended his WWF career back in 1999.
I think Ted DiBiase, Curt Hennig, Rick Rude, Randy Savage, Haku, Rick Martel, the Rougeus, the Hart Foundation, and a litany of others would disagree with your assessment of requirements of heels during the Golden Era.
MJF would definitely thrive in either the attitude era or ruthless aggression era
You're right the attitude ever would have buried the s*** out of him. Ruthless aggression era as one of the smackdown 6 yes.
@@attiepollard7847 He works well today because there aren't as many people that are good on the mic so he stands out. But as other dude said, he would get buried in the attitude era. He's small and doesn't have HBK or Jericho charisma imo.
If Omos was around in the 80s he probably would have been saddled with a racially insensitive gimmick
The viking Raiders are sort of a cash in for a niche audience, similar to pirate Paul Birchall was an attempt to cash in on fans of Pirates of the Caribbean. Viking cosplay is popular right now thanks to video games like Assassins Creed Valhalla and the God of War 2018 reboot and sequel. Gamers are quite often fans of wrestling
However i appreciate that they did the vikingstheme without the 1890's trope of horned helmets
Luna Vachon would be amazing today. She was utterly wasted as a valet/manager.
100% agree.
AJ Lee retired right before the women's revolution took into shape.
IT'S WRESTLE WITH ANDY AND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!!!
I think Mox would have worked perfect in ECW or The Attitude Era
Well...
They say "Better late than never" but...
I say "Never late is always better"
Jon Moxley would be 20x more popular if he was around during the old ECW days or the attitude or ruthless aggression era.
Ecw I could see against tazz rhyno raven
Attitude against Foley, Owen Hart
Ruthless against Benoit, y2j, Eddie
Imo
I love seeing Shamrock get some love. One of my favorites. Always thought he deserved one world title run.
I would’ve loved to see Kanyon in the modern era.
Most 2000 WCW talent are like that imo. Sad that most of them retired when their contracts weren't bought out by WWE or buried before they started.
10.) Cesaro - Golden Era
09.) Tazz - Modern Era
08.) "Broken" Matt Hardy - Attitude Era
07.) Dean Ambrose - Ruthless Agression Era
06.) Bobby Lashley - Golden Era
05.) The Brood (Gangrel) - Modern Era
04.) "Golden Standard" Shelton Benjamin - Modern Era
03.) Aleister Black - Ruthless Agression Era
02.) Bobby Roode - Attitude Era
01.) SEAN O'HAIRE - Modern Era
Mr. Kennedy would have fit perfectly in the attitude era. Him vs. the Rock would have been epic. Ken Shamrock vs. Kurt Angle should have happened. Ankle lock vs. ankle lock.
Mr. Kennedy would make a great feud with Brock, now Kennedy was arrogant and cheats, but he was really bold, so might beat Brock to a bloody fight
Chad Gable should’ve been Kurt's son in 2017
FTR vs Hart Foundation would've been great
@WRESTLE WITH ANDY I wanted to point out a few discrepancies that I noticed in this video.
Imagine Brock Lesnar with Bobby Heenan in The Golden Era 🤤
If Chad Gable had been around in the mid 2000's, he would have been the smaller guy in a tag team with Charlie Haas. Nothing more.
Kurt Angle had never existed without Ken Shamrock, the first wrestling machine on WWE and a legend in UFC.
I'd agree
I’m an attitude era guy but i must say attitude era wrestling wasn’t that good and not much technical. That was the ruthless aggression era where the wrestling started to get much better
A.J Lee owned The Total Divas from 2013-2014
Hakushi's problem was he was in the wrong organization at the wrong time.
Kevin Owens would be perfect for attitude era
The weird thing with AJ Lee is she *was* the bridge between PG era and modern era women's wrestling and she is now old enough to have inspired enough women on the roster *now* to that having her starting in the modern era would create this weird paradox. Some people have to walk so others could run and I think Madusa is sadly in the same boat.
Ken Shamrock was a pro wrestlier in the late 80 before crossing over into the mma world. He got his big break in MMA.
I'll give you some examples you've missed:
Dr. Death Steve Williams - Late Golden Era: He'd have had a better run then than in the Attitude Era (up to 1997-98)
Ivory - Late Golden Era: She'd have had a more solid career and alongside Sherri Martel I could've seen her having a rivalry with Alundra Blayze, Wendi Richter (if not for you know what), and maybe even Luna. That's not to say she wasn't good in the attitude era, I just think she'd have been just as great earlier on in the fed. Would've still ended her career at the same time
Jacqueline - Late Golden Era: Same reason as Ivory.
I miss AJ 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 I couldn't get more than enough 😭😭😭😭😭😭
AJ Lee was ahead of her time she ate all the girls up on that microphone.
Yeah I would loved to see a feud between AJ lee and Alexa bliss, the promos would be insane.
Hakushi... short and sweet run... in WWE NXT ... the original NXT that could work amazingly
Brian Pillman comes to mind, additude era superstar ahead of his time.
He was in the Attitude Era...right at the first of it until he died...
He died around the time Attitude Era started. A video where wrestlers who passed right before a wrestling promotion entered a new era would be cool.
Aj is definitely on here. She carried the early 2010’s I still wonder what it would be like if she could still wrestle
I feel like FTR wouldn't be better in the 80s. What makes them special is that they have an 80s style and adapt it to every opponent today. But during the 80s, having the 80s style wouldn't be special and they would take the heavy risk of being lost in the sea of tag teams
AJ Lee would definitely fitted in the Modern era and been one of the Four Horsewomen.
Yes definitely. AJ lee vs Alexa bliss is one feud I want to see the promos would be insane.
CM Punk and John Moxley would have been amazing in 90s ECW. I can imagine the insanity of them taking on Prime Sabu, Taz, Raven and RVD. I also think Gunther is the rare wrestler that works in any era. He’s got the size, skill and major aura/Presence.
MJF would've been great in the Attitude Era
As good as John Cena was could you imagine how much better he would've been in the 1980s. That's kinda scary to think about because of how good he did in the ruthless aggression and PG Era despite probably having a better career in the 1980s. Crazy.
People would have brought into him a lot more back then. With the era he was in, it felt like he was shoved down our throats. It's only because the Cena kids have grown up why he's rated now
Nah, Cena was perfect for the era he was in. I don't see him getting shine over guys like Hogan, Randy Savage or Ultimate Warrior in the 80's.
I think CM Punk and Darby Allen would've been pretty popular in the attitude era
Lol idk cuz at the time you still had to have some type of look and punk would’ve been the type to talk the talk but not be believable in doing so.
@@karlitosway7474 well l did say he'd be popular. I didn't say Vince would've given him a push 😅
Mr perfect would've killed in the ruthless aggression era smackdown
Here's my 2nd list
10. The Vaudevillians (The New Generation)
9. The Viking Raiders (The New Generation)
8. "Superstar" Billy Graham (Rock 'N' Wrestling)
7. Omos (Rock 'N' Wrestling)
6. Jinder Mahal (Rock 'N' Wrestling)
5. Straight Edge Society (The Attitude Era)
4. Jackson Andrews (Rock 'N' Wrestling)
3. Kizarny (Rock 'N' Wrestling)
2. Jon Moxley (The Attitude Era)
1. The Great Khali (Rock 'N' Wrestling)
MJF could totally fit in at an old school territory company. I’m sure Cornette would’ve loved for him to show up at SMW
Karrion Kross-Golden
Ultimo dragon-Current AEW or AAA
Matt Riddle-Ruthless Aggression smackdown
Roman Reigns- Attitude
Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes- new gen
Mandy Rose- Attitude
The Miz-Ruthless Aggression
Kevin Owens, Darby Allin, Jon Moxley, Nick Gage, Eddie Kingston- OG ECW
The Fiend-Attitude or Ruthless
I’d add Chyna to the list. Yes, she was a big star, but she was in a bad spot - management didn’t really want her wrestling men, but she was leagues ahead of the women’s division at the time, which was mostly models and T&A, with a small handful of trained wrestlers like Ivory and Luna.
Ken Shamrock in the Ruthless Aggression era would've been fire 🔥
And perfectly timed since MMA wasn't so stigmatized but also still mildly mythical at the time (and yes I think that and the fact Dan Severn failed prior to Shamrock is the reason why)
@5:36 - was that Paul Ellery holding up Rocco in the background in support of the idea of working a program FTR and golden era LOD?
I think balor would've been good back when the intercontinental title was meaningful. Balor vs Jeff hardy would've been great storytelling
You mean a ruthless aggression era?
Now you have me imagining what Yoshi Tatsu would have been like in the Modern Era.
He would have had to go to New Japan. You already looking at what they doing to Nakamura which is nothing
She was definitely a fan of doing all her moves in 3's over and over and over
Ken Shamrock also seems like he would’ve had more success in Japan, which in general has a harder-hitting shoot style with less theatrics.
16:37, welp, Hakushi in WWE was sadly actually only known for that one segment when he brought Bret Hart's decapitated head
Omos can not
Omosapiens Rise Up
This also reminds me of the fiend when it debuted in 2019.
Please make another one of these if you can, mention Punk and L.A. Knight in the attitude era, and more stuff like that i f you would
I agree. There's plenty of wrestlers that could have been more successful in other wrestling eras!
Aj lee vs Charlotte is my dream match.
The woman that changed the culture vs the queen of the culture.
Wwe 2k should pull a nba 2k and make eras where you can add wrestlers to any year
Man i can only imagine what WWE would be like today if Sasha Banks, Aj Lee, Naomi, Nia Jax, Ember Moon, Paige, Samoa Joe, Andrade Cien Almas, Alister Black, Adam Cole, Daniel Bryan, Big Cass, Enzo Amoré, & CM Punk were in still in WWE. Especially the the women. Bc i think the women’s division would be absolutely hot right now if the ladies i listed were stills there.
Sheamus been good in either attitude or ruthless, same as drew McIntyre
Agreed
MISTEEEER KENNEDEY... KENNEDEY definitely one of those guys i used to fight against everytime in Smackdown v Raw 2008
