I had GoPro 11 but when I transferred videos to my MacBook Pro (Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MG, 2GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 and 16 gb Memory) it wouldn't play any files unless I converted them with handbrake but then the quality seemed lost. Is my MacBook unable to handle GoPro 11? Do I need a separate video card is there some way to add one to my MacBook? I saw various people in forums have problems with this, what do you recommend. Also get GoPro 12 be magnetic so we don't have to bother screwing? Thanks
@@eri7-11 I believe it's the macbooks settings are too outdated to keep up with the new gopro settings. Unfortunately there's no easy way to fix other than converting. I have the same issue with sone edits as some of my footage is higher than what my new M2 Macbook Air 16gb can handle.

I love my GoPro. I had hero 19 creator edition but didn’t love the media mod. Plus I prefer the versatility of the GoPro and simplicity. I don’t wanna add all that extra stuff. I will say the quality of this video is incredible

Great content! To me, this is the future of vlogging. Amazing stabilization, good battery life. If the media mod mic were good and the sensor of the GoPro bigger to have a slight better focus on the face and a tiny bit of a blur in the background, that would be perfect. And of course, better low light performance. GoPro is getting there little by little.

The music selection, creative shots, and your relaxed and enjoyable delivery made it so good! I must admit, though, I find myself undecided about the Volta. I can't help but wonder if as soon as I make a purchase, they'll introduce the Volta 2 which (I assume) will extend and a ball joint! It's a tough decision to make. I did get the Volta & media mod too but I skipped getting the creator edition because I didn't think that the light would be helpful to me. Your video definitely gave me some tips that would have taken me a while to figure out! 😄
Oh awesome. The light is a 'nice to have' but yeah you don't need it if you're not planning on using the camera at night or in really low light conditions.

That’s awesome quality you got from a go pro, I returned mine it was 13 black because of bad quality but your videos convinced me to get it back and try more settings to get quality like this, you have no grains or noice in the video I don’t know how u managed it but I returned it because I was getting a lot of grains and extra exposure in the videos.
I most definitely enjoyed the video and love when a Queen teach. I just had my go pro hero black stolen with the media mod and my Volta stand you had in the video. I will get a go pro 11 now. Peace and love Brooklyn New York City!
SO! Guess whose Hero11 Creator Edition arrived TODAY on the recommendation of a certain TG? 😁 I have to say I found set-up to be an absolute pain in the Isle of Harris for the Volta handle. At first it’s not clear that you need to pair the camera to the handle BEFORE using the media mod. I thought I had a fault unit. Lots of online research later… And yes… that thing of having the courage to rotate the camera through fear of breaking it. Note to GoPro: INSTRUCTIONS WOULD BE NICE! The QR code in the quick guide leads to a blank page on the website, as does the web address for Creator Edition Setup. Hey ho. Anyway, fab video as always, and I’m looking forward to a play with mine tonight. Looking forward to the gimbal video. Cheers!

Just down the road from Gloucester where I am. I have that set up only I use the Rode Wireless Go mic’s as they are small and just work so well. Another nice video Tamara.
When I travel with my family here in Brazil, I used to carry my Canon 80D, with a lens Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 and the Zoom H1n audio recorder on top of camera (I like the quality of stereo sound this little machine provide) and this setup stay always on my backpack and I never record anything on my travels due the form factor is so big. I'm losing to record these moments with my family because I want the most cinematic video possible, with 180° rule (montion blur and etc). Before the year ends I'll buy the gopro 11.
This totally resonates with me. I was the same with my A7s III. I just remind myself that the more professional cameras I can keep using for client work, but for family videos, these little pocket cameras and action cameras are perfect.

Thanks, but actually this video was shot in the Natural colour profile so no colour grading added. I just tweaked some settings which is in my camera settings cheat sheet.
I’ve just ordered the 12 with the creator set up. So the media mod mic is no good?? The difference in sound was clear. Bummed at that but an external mic was always on my list. Not all bad news. Can’t wait to see if it is better than my current set up 10 with just a small handheld tripod and a wind slayer. Subscribed to your cheat sheets too. Great channel. Thanks for sharing this. 👍. This setup seems like it could be an all-in-one solution for me to film some of our crazier adventures and also just some vlogging style footage.

I'm working with DJI to fix it but I cannot trust it right now. So I'm in the market for either a DJI Action 4 and use my Rode wireless mics or the GoPro 12 creator edition. I'm stuck between the two. I'm hoping DJI helps me with purchase of the Action 4 but I don't know which kit I would even go with.

Your video has definitely convinced me that this was the best purchase for my needs so thank you for that! One question i do have is do you do any additional editing to what you've recorded such as colour grading etc?

Another great video. I just returned my GoPro 11. It was so glitchy for me. It would connect to my 14pro max then wouldn’t then would then Wouldn’t. It wouldn’t show the videos on the app. It was a mess. I know that the user experience can differ between same devices for go pro cameras. My 8 has been wonderful but I think after this last experience I am completely done with GoPro. What’s your second go to camera?
That’s a shame. My second go-to that isn’t GoPro (as I still use my HERO10 alongside the HERO11) is the Insta360 X3 as I really like 360 cameras, they’re so useful, and the X3 is just great. But in terms of non-360 action cams then it would be the Insta360 ONE RS. I’d love to say the DJI Osmo Action 3 but with the focus issue I’ve had in two units (now waiting for another replacement which would make it the third OA3 I’ve tried) I’m holding off my recommendations for that at the moment, which is a shame because it’s awesome otherwise.
@@TamaraGabrielUK I have seen a lot of vloggers discuss the osmo action focus issue. Hopefully he pocket 3 that’s coming out won’t have that issue too.
This is great video for GoPro Hero 11 Creator edition which I just bought a month ago and wasn't able to use it out from the box. I will definately use this for walking video for my vlog. I really wanted the DJI Action 3 but with all the focus issues and the better overall image quality of the GoPro hero 11 I have been looking at GoPro Hero 11 reviews. I found yours excellent, the focus looked great. I noticed some of the scenes with interior lights flickering, is there a setting to avoid this? Cheers from Australia.
Thanks! Yeah with the flickering, I had forgotten to switch my fps back to 25 fps. I think Australia is PAL so you’d want to shoot in 25fps and also if possible 1/50 shutter speed, but you’d need a gimbal for that slower shutter speed as image stabilisation will fall apart.
Hello! I have another question, what happens if instead of recording myself talking with the GoPro hero 11, I record like for example the city while taking… Will the sound quality be exactly the same ? (Without the media mod and only using the internal microphone of course) Because I am impressed by the internal microphone of the GoPro hero 11 .
I just ordered this, think I saw where it has front and back mics built in and your can switch between them in the settings. I already have a better external mic that I can use with it though and just turn it around
I’ve been hesitant because I have mics coming out of my ears, but I just said sod it, and I’ve now just gone for it and bought it! Review coming soon 😂
I have a GoPro 11. I have it on the windscreen of my vehicle. It’s good for 35 minutes then overheats and shuts down. Certainly will not last me “all day”.

It really depends on your shooting situation, how long you shoot for, weather/temp, SD card. When I’m vlogging I don’t have issues. Others do. This is the card I use geni.us/YItQZp
How can I connect the Volta and an external omnidirectional microphone simultaneously to the GoPro Hero 11 WITHOUT having to use the Media Mod? What do I need to do that?

It gets easier the more you do. I’m still very self conscious at times but not as much as when I started. Filming in quiet locations helps 😊

I had read that it was weatherproof but I wouldn’t use it in a downpour, only maybe if it was light rain.
Amazing Video, Tamara! I've just purchased the Hero 11 Black Creator Edition as I want to start vlogging my DJ gigs around Dorset, London and Essex. Your video has definitely convinced me that this was the best purchase for my needs so thank you for that!
One question i do have is do you do any additional editing to what you've recorded such as colour grading etc?
I’m glad the video was helpful 😊 In this particular video I didn’t do any colour grading, but in other videos with the H11 I have done. I’m putting together a quick filming guide which I’ll share soon. Keep an eye out on the community tab.

Another great video. I just returned my GoPro 11. It was so glitchy for me. It would connect to my 14pro max then wouldn’t then would then Wouldn’t. It wouldn’t show the videos on the app. It was a mess. I know that the user experience can differ between same devices for go pro cameras. My 8 has been wonderful but I think after this last experience I am completely done with GoPro. What’s your second go to camera?
That’s a shame. My second go-to that isn’t GoPro (as I still use my HERO10 alongside the HERO11) is the Insta360 X3 as I really like 360 cameras, they’re so useful, and the X3 is just great. But in terms of non-360 action cams then it would be the Insta360 ONE RS. I’d love to say the DJI Osmo Action 3 but with the focus issue I’ve had in two units (now waiting for another replacement which would make it the third OA3 I’ve tried) I’m holding off my recommendations for that at the moment, which is a shame because it’s awesome otherwise.

This is great video for GoPro Hero 11 Creator edition which I just bought a month ago and wasn't able to use it out from the box. I will definately use this for walking video for my vlog. I really wanted the DJI Action 3 but with all the focus issues and the better overall image quality of the GoPro hero 11 I have been looking at GoPro Hero 11 reviews. I found yours excellent, the focus looked great. I noticed some of the scenes with interior lights flickering, is there a setting to avoid this? Cheers from Australia.
Thanks! Yeah with the flickering, I had forgotten to switch my fps back to 25 fps. I think Australia is PAL so you’d want to shoot in 25fps and also if possible 1/50 shutter speed, but you’d need a gimbal for that slower shutter speed as image stabilisation will fall apart.

Hello! I have another question, what happens if instead of recording myself talking with the GoPro hero 11, I record like for example the city while taking… Will the sound quality be exactly the same ? (Without the media mod and only using the internal microphone of course) Because I am impressed by the internal microphone of the GoPro hero 11 .
I just ordered this, think I saw where it has front and back mics built in and your can switch between them in the settings. I already have a better external mic that I can use with it though and just turn it around

I have a GoPro 11. I have it on the windscreen of my vehicle. It’s good for 35 minutes then overheats and shuts down. Certainly will not last me “all day”.

The Media Mod isn’t waterproof so I personally wouldn’t.
I was in the fence about getting this setup. I don’t UA-cam but I do Instagram and Tiktok, they wouldn’t send me one to try out lol. I think I’ll just get a new iPhone instead.

Hi Tamara Gabriel, please confirm that does gopro hero 11 black overheats and shuts down automatically after 15 minutes of shooting time. I am planning to buy gopro hero 11, it would be great if you could please shed some light regards to this concern.
And also suggest which memory card and the capacity, should we use with gopro hero 11
It really depends on your shooting situation, how long you shoot for, weather/temp, SD card. When I’m vlogging I don’t have issues. Others do. This is the card I use geni.us/YItQZp
