Hello! I am Catherine Queen of Pikachu from 10:24. Lol I hadn't actually weighed the costume yet when this was filmed so I was a littttllleee off from the weight. It actually only weighed 55lbs. But I promise you, after 3 days in a row 10-12 hours each it FELT like 90lbs lol.
Your channel has honestly become one of my favorite cosplay channels, not just for all the excellent videos going through the creation of your cosplays but the way you talk to and promote other cosplay creators to really uplift and emphasis the diversity in this community... it really makes you go "yeah, this is exactly what cosplay is about". Your passion and love for the art is lovely and infectious!
These videos make me cry like a baby. I've been cosplaying on and off for over 15 years now and listening to people talk about what this hobby means to them is so emotional. Cosplay has brought me through rough times and I have made so many friends through cosplay. Phenomenal video yet again, Sarah Spaceman
I LOVE that you also interviewed nonbinary, plus-sized, and POC. They are very often overlooked in the cosplay community and it really means a lot to see these people cosplaying. I'm a white, plus-sized nonbinary person and I've always been super discouraged from cosplaying, so seeing these lovely people doing what I was afraid to do, makes me more courageous to do it
I love how many of these interviewees are first time sewists and cosplayers! The joy of wearing something you've made for the first time is truly unrivaled and you really captured that here
Not me sobbing at the end with that cosplay means to everyone- sometimes this hobby is stressful and sucks but sometimes it provides the most amount of joy 🎉
Not me CASUALLY watching this and seeing myself walk by as Hisoka at 19:16 HAHAHAHA 💀 This was so fun to watch in general I LOVE MomoCon and all the wonderful vibes and cosplays every year !
I'm 30 and I was scared I was too old to start this hobby but Sarah, you really made me see it's about what you enjoy and not what other ppl think. It's even inspiring to try to get in shape for the first time in my life so I can go that extra mile. My Deku cosplay is pretty basic- I just dyed my hair and made a t-shirt- but it makes me excited to try to take it to the next level. Much love ❤
Your interviews are so cool and fun! I love hearing what other people have to say about their cosplays! (THE WAY THE TEXT TRANSITIONS OUT ON JIAYAN'S INTRO TEXT WITH THE SWORD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! smooth af super cool) YOU INTERVIEWED THE PIKACHU LADY!!! She's so iconic, and I love seeing her every year! I had never considered how heavy that fit was, that's amazing!
I like that you actually let people speak and EXPLAIN their ideas and the process and how it was made and showing it off in good shots that arent all sped up. And letting people just chat and share in a comfortable real friend way. Really enjoy seeing more interviews from ATL cosplays instead of just hypebeast music videos lmao :)
I used to be a cosplayer and bruise of people like this, i’m a costume designer in the film industry. This video made me cry happy tears. I love seeing everyone so happy and passionate about their craft. Thank you Sarah for sharing so many talented people 🖤
I started crying from happiness, I’ve never felt so confident because of Sarah and the discord. My life is a bit rocky but everyone I’ve met in the last few months from cosplay has helped me keep going so much! 💚✨
My answer changes every couple years, but right now, I'd probably say... Cosplay is one of the most unique art forms in the world, and it is one of the purest forms of self-expression.
When I heard how happy everyone was in their cosplays I just cried! Cosplay, for me is, when I see something so incredible on screen and I get to bring it into a physical space!
This video was great! I like seeing all the levels of making a cosplay! Newer people, experts, people who buy things premade and modify, people who made everything! So cool!
It's amazing how many people went out of their comfort zone and freaking learned to sew/use a sewing machine for their craft! Like just loving a character and idea of a cosplay so much you deal with teaching yourself a whole skill is so awesome! I love the passion behind this community and all the stories of how it's brought people together 🥺
If anyone ever wants a way to make things look like they’re floating I’d recommend brim wire! It comes clear, it’s heat formable and unlike metal wire, won’t bend easily! It also comes in big rolls (at least where I get it from)
I just love this format ❤ it's so interesting to hear other cosplayer's thoughts on how they made things and just to see the costume details up close is really great!
This is my favorite cosplay showcase video I’ve ever seen. I love that Sarah really showcases the cosplayers that are doing things out here vs the usual video of lewd cosplays only or the same character five times. I really felt the true vibe of the community here in this.
Ah yes, a new Sarah Spaceman video to watch while I sew my Tsukasa Tenma cosplay! Thank you for being the reason why I keep going, Sarah. You’ve inspired me to begin this project and go back to a convention. Cant wait to go in my (soon to be) new cosplay! edit: it’s national donut day, so make sure to get a donut today! Dunkin’ Donuts will give a free donut with any purchase :)
This is truly the best cosplay con video I've ever seen. You gave each of the cosplayers you interviewed their well-deserved time to shine, showcasing all the hard work that went into their art. It's apparent that you spent time with each of them, and really spent time listening to each person's story. The compilation at the end was like a chef's kiss to the entire video, once again celebrating how personal, yet universal the cosplay experience can be. Well done!
I wore my very first cosplay that I made myself at a con this weekend and it felt so incredible! months of teaching myself how to sew and the crunch I went through the weeks leading up to con was so so worth it :] and I just wanted to thank you for helping me find the inspiration I needed to try out something I never thought I'd be able to do
As a new cosplayer (only did my first 2 days ago as of this comment) I believe cosplay is a way of expressing yourself and having fun with others I haven’t become or met the community yet but i look forward to getting to do so in a month haha
These cosplay videos are immaculate, I love seeing the detail shot compilations ppl record and you letting cosplayers talk abt it too just let’s me appreciate the details so much more
I love this format so much! Cosplay videos can sometimes stress me out, because everyone is at such crazy high level of crafting. This really grasps what the community actually is. Cosplay = fun. No matter our skill level or years of experience. We just love recreating the characters we adore, and share that with our fellow nerds
This video was so sweet! I loved seeing all the different cosplays, hearing about how they were made, what inspired them to cosplay, and what cosplay means to all of them. All of your videos just feel like a celebration of cosplay and the community as a whole which I love
me trying to scout out my friend in a Dr. Coomer cosplay who went to momocon... also, i love seeing you sharing all of these cosplays and all the work that went into it, it's so cool to see so many people enjoying the craft and showing off their hard work that really, really paid off. hopefully i'll be able to go to a bigger con in the future and meet up with you for one of these videos!
I always really look forward to these videos!! It can be so easy to like hyperfocus on your own cosplay sometimes while you're in the process of making/wearing it, but these videos always remind me that cosplay isn't about any individual, it's about the community!! I always end up learning so much just from hearing about how other cosplayers do their thing, so videos like these inspire me more than anything else :)
Cosplay means so much to me for many different reasons but one of the main ones is gender euphoria. A few years ago I had just come out as genderfluid and I was cosplaying Kris from Deltarune at Dragon Con and it was the first time that someone other than my family and close friends used they/them pronouns for me. It made me feel amazing. The cosplay community is so large and vast that no matter what you cosplay, you will find someone who you can be friends with.
I'm very new to making my own cosplays, and sometimes I feel like I'm not a good cosplayer because there are people who are better than me at it, but seeing videos like this and seeing such different levels of craftmanship makes me feel good about where I'm at. It makes me excited to learn and make new friends through this community.❤️
I saw you so many times last weekend but was too nervous to say hello 😅 I absolutely LOVE this video! Cosplay means something special to do many people, thank you for highlighting this!!!!
Thanks to you and another Cosplayer UA-camr, I’m spired to make my own cosplays more often. I’ve already made my first cosplay with things I had and bought and I took it to con last month and everyone loved it! I’m so happy that I am now inspired to make my own cosplays
I absolutely LOVE these videos. Thank you so much for doing this, I know it's a lot of work but I love hearing everyone's stories. Also, that Tiana was *chef's kiss * perfection!
Chihiro and big mom were my fav And nintendo switch lmao The haku is so fluffy I wanna hug it💖 And daayuuumm big mom is SLAYYYIINNN all that detail and work and the movement shots👌💖model status and the personality of the character is there
I am binge watching your videos and man, I ADORE your style! Watching your content makes me so excited to cosplay for the first time. Who knows, maybe I will finally learn how to sew?
I would love to see people dress more freely on the regular out in public. These are beautiful, colorful, detailed, and well thought-out and crafted looks ❤❤❤ my brain would be happier if I saw more people styling their looks to their passions and just rocking it out overall. I think it's time for more art and color in the world on the regular
What i love about this style of video is that it really embodies what I love about this hobby, and what I get out of conventions. Its one of the reasons I love doing Masquerades and competitions. Talking about the joy of making and the joy of wearing these fantastical creations!
Hey Sarah, you are probably getting headaches from perfumes because you have a “Iso E Super” allergy/sensitivity. I have gotten headaches for a few years without reason when I tried Escentric Molecules’ Molecule 01 scent, which is a one note fragrance containing only Iso E Super. When I looked into it, I realized all of the fragrances that gave me a headache also contained Iso E Super, and now I try and check if a perfume has it before buying it!
this is so sweet omg :'3 also wanted to highlight: the editing and visual design of the text and how it all comes on and off screen and how its all cut together is just masterful. and you can also feel how comfortable and excited everyone being interviewed is!! such a well made video!!! for sure my favorite cosplay content creator by far.
This made me cry like baby from all the emotions I could feel from everyone's words. I'm so glad to see so many people enjoying cosplay so much and making and trying their hands at new hobbies and things! And making it for fun! This was very wholesome
i love the nintendo switch cosplay so unique and fun and the dragon prop is so well made ,, omg the black and white ballgowns were beautiful,, and the star guardian neeko ,, this video is so positive and happy i love it
Cosplay is special because it's a way to be you. It's almost ironic, because you dress up as characters, but I think cosplay is about showing yourself though these characters
Well, first off, your videos are the reason my husband and I are finally cosplaying. We both wanted to do so way before we were together (I'm 53 and he's 57) and then when we met and were just friends, we talked about cosplaying because that's what you do when you meet someone...right? Then we got married and LotRed our entire wedding so, you know, a step in the right direction. We've been together for 8 years and talked about wanting to cosplay every couple of months the entire time. So at the beginning of the year, I found your channel and I just felt that this was the time. I was very inspired by your enthusiasm and personality and craftsmanship...and no, I really don't know why I didn't feel the spark watching other cosplayers on YT (and there are more than just a few). And now we're here. We were originally going to do Gary Numans, but when we went to our first con, we wore our wedding clothes and I felt beautiful and comfortable and amazing. I realized I wanted to make something else in the same vein; dressy, sparkly, and frilly. We talked and decided to each do whatever we wanted because being a couple didn't mean we had to cosplay the same anime, comic, tv show, movie, video game, etc. So I guess what I think cosplay means is to feel comfortable embodying your passions with a whole bunch of people who are doing the same thing. I have intense social anxiety and can't even go grocery shopping without having to pre-pot Xanax (prescribed, people, prescribed). I've walked out of the grocery store before without finishing shopping because I couldn't breathe. However, I didn't think about it when we went to the con. I was fine. Despite it being crowded and in a bit of a small venue, I was fine with the all the people around (except for the dudebro who kept invading my personal space when I was searching through boxes of comics because he wanted to look through the same boxes...that dude can gtfo). That was long. Sorry about that. TLDR; you do you however you want because cosplay is for everyone and the community is amazing.
this video filled me with so much inspiration just seeing how diverse and creative these cosplays are. Love all the work and passion put into every craft.
Ah a perfect way to end my friday, a new Sarah Spaceman video Also the Lux and Ani cosplayers are literally so cute they got together through cosplay!! 🥹😭
This was such a delight!! Cosplayers are truly the highlight to ever con! For me, cosplay is the ultimate love letter to either the character or the source material. Loving and appreciating something SO MUCH that you have to bring it to life?? Frankenstein level of love
The Pyramid Head shots are trippy because the cosplayer isn't moving but the background either! So it looks like the world stopped while you filed the close ups
Every time I watch one of these videos I genuinely wish I had friends to do this with, I love creating outfits and it seems so fun to just be able to be your favourite character for a day, maybe one day, until then I’ll just keep tuning in for ur videos :)
This makes me have the biggest smile on my face..... 💗💛💙 I love this And I love seeing how creative people can get with characters I'm familiar with and make it a whole new thing
I miss living in Georgia as far as conventions and festivals go. Living in Macon and Atlanta especially made it easy to hit up every convention. I first started going to Momocon when it was free at GA Tech.
watching this makes me so so happy. ive ben wanting to cosplay for years but i always feel so unready? i guess but seeing everyone so happy and there cosplays im so pumped to start! i love your content thank you sm!!
I really do want to thank you for making these interview style videos, not only are they unique in the sense that i'm not sure anyone else has done them, but also the way you get to see the raw passion, love and effort that goes into these cosplays while hearing directly from the creators themselves is incredibly inspiring (and you can even learn new little tips along the way!) i've always wanted to cosplay but i've also been very scared of the actual thought of going OUT in cosplay to a con, but the people (and you, of course) in these videos genuinely have convinced me to give a try!! i have an idea i wanna do for my first and while im not sure it'll end up well i'm exicited to try it, because the faster i get it done, the faster i can go to my first con and meet wonderful people who are just as passionate as the things I am

No such thing as NB. You're either male or female.

Casey Renee is literally so amazing omg???? I've followed her for years and this is the crossover I never knew I needed!!!!!

If i actually get back into cosplay this year, just know that this video probably is the reason
I just love this format ❤ it's so interesting to hear other cosplayer's thoughts on how they made things and just to see the costume details up close is really great!
I'M TEARING for everyone!! I'm so happy this fills me with so much joy seeing everyone so happy
Can I just applaud the VARIETY of cosplayers you interviewed!!!

i really like the queen of pikachus and i really shook of how she manage to do that
All these cosplayers are so creative and talented! I'm absolutely loving the passion they have for it
I would love to see more of this type of video. Interviewing cosplayers and how they made their cosplay.

I believe cosplay is a way of expressing yourself and having fun with others
I haven’t become or met the community yet but i look forward to getting to do so in a month haha
Update
Went to a small convention and made many freinds
Honestly we had so much fun and caused chaos on the beach
And i still stick to my statement
These cosplay videos are immaculate, I love seeing the detail shot compilations ppl record and you letting cosplayers talk abt it too just let’s me appreciate the details so much more
I love these interview videos they give cosplayers the credit they are all due!! Also I get to see so many new cool cosplays.
I love that tambour embroidery
The end of this video has me in tears ❤ I have been wanting to get into cosplay for so so long it seems like such a great way to express yourself :)
this video makes me want to cosplay BMO
All of these cosplays are amazing!!!
my jaw dropped seeing the prince Sidon cosplay. im actually in love
me trying to scout out my friend in a Dr.

Shout out to Miya for whippin' out the Toad voice! Literally kills my friends whenever I pull that out during Mario Party. The whole gang's fits slap
Gosh these cosplay interview videos are just amazing! I love seeing both the love you have for the craft and the love and passion the community has.
I'm very new to making my own cosplays, and sometimes I feel like I'm not a good cosplayer because there are people who are better than me at it, but seeing videos like this and seeing such different levels of craftmanship makes me feel good about where I'm at. there are so many different kinds of people in this video and it's so fun to see them all come together and make stuff they love it's just so sweet!
" i made this foam out of 10mm foam, hot glue, and a DREAM" is my new favorite line.
Yess love this series! So cool to see other creators and hear their thoughts on their own creations
I absolutely LOVE these videos. Thank you so much for doing this, I know it's a lot of work but I love hearing everyone's stories. Also, that Tiana was *chef's kiss * perfection!
Chihiro and big mom were my fav
And nintendo switch lmao
The haku is so fluffy I wanna hug it💖
And daayuuumm big mom is SLAYYYIINNN all that detail and work and the movement shots👌💖model status and the personality of the character is there
I am binge watching your videos and man, I ADORE your style!
Watching your content makes me so excited to cosplay for the first time. Who knows, maybe I will finally learn how to sew?
14:47 "I feel really beautiful"
MA'AM! YOU AREEE SOOO BEAUTIFUL AHHH ❤
Toad screaming woke my dog up 😭
I hope I get to see you at HolMat this year!💗
I would love to see people dress more freely on the regular out in public. i’ve never seen a princess bubblegum and i just started crying aaaaaaaa i love her 💞💞💞
Ok but that toad impression was so good-
What a delight! I'm not a cosplayer myself, but I love people who are creative and have a passion! ❤❤
I love this style of video. The cosplay community has gotten so divided over the years so seeing this gives me hope. ❤
I have no idea why I love this so much when I have never cosplayed in my life but the joy is palpable xx
I really love this way of showcasing different costumes and creators around the con floor ❤
Cosplay is special because it's a way to be you. It's almost ironic, because you dress up as characters, but I think cosplay is about showing yourself though these characters
Cosplay is everything to me , cosplay has saved me - ever since I’ve been cosplaying I’ve been happier then ever 💗
Well, first off, your videos are the reason my husband and I are finally cosplaying. this video filled me with so much inspiration just seeing how diverse and creative these cosplays are. Love all the work and passion put into every craft.
I had the honor of seeing some of these cosplayers and more at Momocon, and it was the coolest!
Ah a perfect way to end my friday, a new Sarah Spaceman video
Also the Lux and Ani cosplayers are literally so cute they got together through cosplay!! 🥹😭
why i literally crying hearing all this beautiful cosplayers TT
Aa i love all of the cosplayers in this video they look amazing!! Love your videos Sarah, keep up the good work 💕
All of these cosplays are so beautiful! I also really like the colour green of the wig on Joy and Kim's cosplay around 13:44
This was such a delight!! Cosplayers are truly the highlight to ever con! For me, cosplay is the ultimate love letter to either the character or the source material. Loving and appreciating something SO MUCH that you have to bring it to life?? Frankenstein level of love
Bro IDK why but these showcase videos have me sobbing the whole time
oh the jiayan's cloud cosplay is amazing!! I love me some big props
amazing amazing amazing video
The Pyramid Head shots are trippy because the cosplayer isn't moving but the background either! So it looks like the world stopped while you filed the close ups
The star guardian neeko looked so amazing. That tail!
The 🦉owl house ✨group is my favorite one 🤩
Every time I watch one of these videos I genuinely wish I had friends to do this with, I love creating outfits and it seems so fun to just be able to be your favourite character for a day, maybe one day, until then I’ll just keep tuning in for ur videos :)
This makes me have the biggest smile on my face.....
💗💛💙
I love this
And I love seeing how creative people can get with characters I'm familiar with and make it a whole new thing
This was so great! I hope you do more of them. Everyone has so many different takes on cosplay, it's amazing to see what people come up with.
I really do want to thank you for making these interview style videos, not only are they unique in the sense that i'm not sure anyone else has done them, but also the way you get to see the raw passion, love and effort that goes into these cosplays while hearing directly from the creators themselves is incredibly inspiring (and you can even learn new little tips along the way!)
i've always wanted to cosplay but i've also been very scared of the actual thought of going OUT in cosplay to a con, but the people (and you, of course) in these videos genuinely have convinced me to give a try!! i have an idea i wanna do for my first and while im not sure it'll end up well i'm exicited to try it, because the faster i get it done, the faster i can go to my first con and meet wonderful people who are just as passionate as the things I am
this is going straight in my "cheer me up and motivate me to Make Stuff" playlist :D
This video is pure unconcentrated joy oh my god
THE BEADWORK ON KAYTIE'S DRESS. oh my word it's GORGEOUS
thank you :3c ✨
I love the music that always plays at the end
literally making a star guardian neeko cosplay rn and my jaw dropped when i saw her omg its so good
It's videos like these (but also just your whole channel in general tbh 💖) that reignited my love for cosplay
