Tamilok Worms for Breakfast | PALAWAN, PHILIPPINES

- So, I did it....my first mukbang. Who knew tamilok worms were going to be so hard to find? On the search for the exotic Filipino food we managed to find a crazy awesome place called Baker's Hill and would highly recommend checking it out. Puerto Princesa seems to have more than everybody seems to say. Sunsets, scooters, mollusks. Ch-ch-check it out!
Thanks for watching and as always, make sure to like, subscribe, and tell your mom - it would help me out tremendously!

Thumbs up but no thumbs up for eating those worms haha! Looking forward to the next vlog!
Haha I gave myself a big thumbs up because I was all for it until they were presented to me (as you can tell by my shaking). Thanks for watching!
Good on ya Adam for trying the tamilok worms, braver than us mate but we have a great get out clause....we're veggie!!!! This was hilarious....
Haha one of these day I'm going to do a weird VEGAN food challenge for all of the veggie youtube community. Moss, or seaweed, or magic mushrooms? I'll find something. Thanks for watching!
That's so cool didn't realise you guys were veggie
Magic mushrooms lets do it 👐
Yes, we will be up for the Magic Mushroom task😉😜
Aarronnnn! Haha it was strange that he wasn't here with you, but also cool. I like you both having a channel each, more uploads! Not sure I'd be as brave as you were with the food...even just watching you and the way you were describing how they burrow in the trees...argh 😂 it made me gag. I don't deal well with the texture of stuff like that. Fair doos bro, you handled it really well!
It was definitely weird without him, but I think it turned out well. You know the old saying, "There's only one thing to do when you lose your vlogging partner...eat worms". Or something like that, I paraphrased. Exotic (AKA weird) food is never something that's easy for me...but any excuse to drink a beer at 11am is fine with me.
Hahahah you are literally shaking whilst attempting your first bite
Kudos for trying it haha
I don't ever get nervous about food but this was a bit different. Totally worth it, at the very least to say "not for me", haha.
Nice intro with the jump cuts Adam! And you guys are really brave to try the worms, but hey gotta try everything once in life right? Haha.
Life is all about the experiences, and what kind of life would I be living if I didn't eat a worm in Palawan? Haha thanks for watching!
Hahahahaha what a way to do your first Mukbang... Your friends facials looked so disturbed the whole time hahahahaa. This is a delicacy and we have always wanted to try it. Not for everyone hahahahaha heard it tastes like oysters. Only they are "room temperature" brown water worms hahahaaha. Awesome
Yeah, my girlfriend wasn't really having it. I still can't believe I got her to eat one. They definitely had an oystery flavour/texture. It's more the IDEA of what I was eating that was starting to get to me. You know how something can taste really good until you learn what it is? Same sort of thing. Except without the good flavor haha.
Hi ..!💖💖💖Your sharing is fun ..! like 💖💖💖
Thanks so much for the support!
Another great video, you are a brave man.
Wow two realities I took from this vlog - 1. A legit vlog from and about the Philippines from the Citizens! Yehey, finally! 2. The divorce is real. No Aaron. sad face.. Baker's Hill is actually a well known destination for local/Pinoy tourists. It is part of the "City Tour" alongside visits to Crocodile Farm, Iwahig Prison/Penal Farm, Mitra Farm and the Butterfly Garden. Try the first two I've mentioned, they are worth visiting.. On tamilok worms, I paired it with rice and chicken bbq and with vinegar. Tastes good! hahaha. All in all, I like this vlog. You are showing more and more your personality Adam. Keep it up!
Chris, your feedback has always been super helpful and well articulated. I do truly appreciate all of it, so thanks for that! And I'm so happy to finally get a Philippines vlog out! It's been a long time coming and felt like eating some worms were the perfect way to introduce this new series. It was definitely weird to be the only one holding the camera (and not having drone shots) but I think it'll be good for the both of us for the future. We just left Palawan today but will definitely be going back after rainy season (El Nido was beautiful but...limiting) so will check those others out then. Baker's Hill was a great surprise, I suppose I should have done a bit more research before exploring. Anyway, thanks again!!
glad you made it
Me too! Thanks!
Ha! How many beers had you put down before saying, “it’s starting to taste better..”? Great upload Adam. 👍✌️
That would be a 7 beer meal for me!!! Ha
Brother Dunne minimum!
Haha it was upwards of 7 for sure. I think by that point I was numb to the worminess.
luv erin's reaction.
Haha Kristy's reaction was amazing!
nice video adam thumbs up
Thumbs up to YOU Anne! Thanks so much.
Big like 1 Nice video
thanks so much!
JULIE IS HERE IN THE HOUSE!!!
Woot woot, hey Julie!
Very good video
Thanks a ton!
I LOST YOU. HOW HAVE YOU BEEN? JULIE IS STOP BY SAY HELLO AND WATCHING YOUR VIDEO NOW.
Love the videos dude. WTF is your girlfriend drinking btw 😂 Thomas Whittle from IG
Ay! Thomas and Sally! Glad to see you guys here! That drink looked like straight chemicals, it was supposedly cucumber lemonade. Who actually knows though?
You are brave! I don't know if I could try the Tamilok even though they aren't actual worms.
New to your channel will keep following
Worms or not they were...worth it? I'm still trying to decide that or not. Checking out yours now, man!
Brave enough
When in a Palawan, do as the Palawanese do!
Love it
Thanks for watching!
I'm Filipino, and I could easily stomach eating TAMILOK, but.. ugh.. not balut, with the chick.
I prefer to eat PENOY, lol (without the chick).
But yeah, I can eat TAMILOK without problems, heheheh.
That's next on the list! I've never heard of Penoy but maybe I'll start with that (wouldn't that just be a regular egg?) Any other crazy foods that I should try while I'm here?!
i'll have an order of 'em worms fried, thank you!.....lol
I definitely wish I tried the fried worms instead!
like 15😉
Thanks so much!
NO Aaron ahaaaa
Lol plan C
We love discovering new places too it's part of the reason we emigrated to NZ great vid 👐
Loving those emigration videos by the way, lots of great information for when I decide to stop traveling and become a Kiwi!
badass 😎
Haha that's what I was going for!
I almost got sick watching eat the worms.
Yeah, now try scarfing them down! The beer definitely helped!
Beer helps most things ;-) I don't think I could do it...maybe if someone paid me, haha
Omg..Lol..
Now it's your turn!
Lol..in another lifetime
Tamilok seems like good only for appetizer or in filipino way eat it with alcoholic drink👍🤣😋
Oh yes yes, the drink was definitely the best part of that meal haha
Fantastic video! Thanks so much for subscribing to my channel too!
Of course, thanks man!
Adam - Citizens of Everywhere no problem!
baaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
baaaaaaaaaaaaaah
nooo aaron! :D haha - im sure he is out doing some fun adventure too! :D -i guess the security is pretty chill about you guys coming inside - was the food stand and cafe for residential only? omg i thought its alive adam.. i think it be worse if it was alive @_@ - hahah you get a marriage proposal hahah and adam goes and sip the beer like its nothing haha
I was apparently wrong, it LOOKED like a gated community but i was more of a series of food stalls and picture opportunities for everyone to enjoy. It was a ton of fun. And the worms, oof! Those were an experience. And now I have a proposal timelines haha. Thanks for watching Nick!
Adam - Citizens of Everywhere oh pressure is on 👍😀 document that proposal haha
I legit watched this like 4 times because Kristy had me laughing SO HARD! I never knew dad dared you to eat a worm! Is that where this all began?! Be honest, do you think everyone should try Tamilok because it was a great experience or because misery loves company? haha good job, as always!
Haha that was by far the best part of all of this. I have the image of her almost puking forever in my brain. So listen, I don't know if he dared me or if I said I wanted to try it and he just sat back and enjoyed the show. But I definitely bit a worm, and he was definitely there haha
love that opener. do you always point to the right spot when you reference the UA-cam button? I'm so glad you showed the context of where they came from with that b roll, gives so much more to the first bite. That looks not good to eat at all.
Haha I actually pointed to the wrong side, so that entire clip of me talking to the camera was horizontally flipped. I got lucky there were no signs in the background to call me out. And yeah, the worms were...eh. Glad I tried them, but once is plenty.
You EARNED my SUBS today!!! Your editing game is LIT!!! DAAAYYUUUMMM!!.. I called it you're gonna blew up I'm telling you!! Nice V-LOG man kinda reminds me of HALEY Dasovich and Wil Dasovich how you edit.. 👏👏👌👌
This has to be one of my very favorite comments. Thanks so much Mark, I really appreciate the kind words! Just trying to get better and better!
Man, you need a side dish of green eggs and ham to got with that. Way to be brave and try something new, outside of your comfort zone. Ha, those worms must be amazing if you have to go through security to get them!!! Keep given er!
Haha I've often been asked "What's the weirdest thing you've eaten while traveling" and haven't had a great response until right now. If you like oysters than these are definitely for you, but I also hate oysters so...it didn't do too much for me haha
These worms will be extinct in 2 years if every stupid tourist they are experiencing local culture. They cut down mangrove forest to sell this stuff to Instagram addicts, who don't even enjoy the slugs.
liked! I don't think I could have ate those worms, lol
They were something else for sure, haha
Those things really don't look healthy, haha. Glad you made it to edit this, haha. Great vid!
I have to say, I definitely didn't feel too healthy after eating them. Some things in the world just shouldn't be eaten...I would add these to that list.
Nice share Adam👍👍👍
Thanks so much for watching!
Oh this looks interesting🙏😇
It was...an experience haha
Adam - Citizens of Everywhere that's cool LOL hope you are well
very well video
Thanks Hang!
Hey Adam ! It’s my first video and I haven’t seen any with Erin (yet!) !eeeeuw Worm dish 🤣Not for me. But it was a great getaway thanks for taking us with you.
Yeah, I don't think everybody can down the worms. I'm surprised I got it down. Thanks for watching, iCeline!
Haha that was a great watch! You can eat anything if you have a beer to wash it down with ;) We're big seafood fans though so we're definitely gonna try this when we head to the Phillipinnes. Thanks for sharing dude!
Thanks for watching! Like I said, if you like oysters these actually might be good for you. I am not much an oyster eater so I will leave it to the professionals (and locals) haha.
Absolutely fantastic and wonderful travel Vlog....thumbs up and bell is activated.
Yeah! Love to hear that. Thanks so much guys!
Nope haha no thank you! With the worms but this is Absolutely Amazing Beautiful place too my beautiful country awesome guys
I love this country, I love the food, I love the people! The worms I could take or leave though, haha
Oh my gush! Haha I'm from the Philippines but I haven't seen that one nor tasted it. Hahah You guys are cool! :)
Haha no time like the present to try eating worms! I hope when you try it you put out a video of it. Thanks for watching Mariah!
ooo my goddd.. really? worms? but great blog my friend, here to support, full view and + 1 like
Thanks a ton Senja! The worms were...interesting to say the least.
Oh no, it really looks disgusting, but so cool you tried. Good tip for our friends of Chasing a Plate.
Chasing a Plate, hmmm...I'll have to look them up. I wouldn't say "disgusting" I would just say "un-appetizing" haha
I don't know if I could do that! haha I would need a lot more beer! Looks like an experience! haha
It was something different for sure, glad I tried it but I think once is enough haha
HOLY MOLY you are so brave hahaha. I would be so scared and chicken out before I even get to try it 😂 Glad you lived to tell the tale LOL!
I feel like there is still time, we'll see. When I was younger I always thought swallowing a watermelon seed would grow a "watermelon tree" in my stomach. Not sure what I would think about this.
Man the trouble you guys went through to get worms in you😀... Your girlfriend’s face the whole time looking at the worms 😂😂...Not sure I would get close to eating them.
It took me a little bit of self-convincing, and then a little more beer but I did it! I'm proud of myself in a "I will never do it again" kind of way.
Adam - Citizens of Everywhere haha so that’s the effect of beer 😀
i love tamilok!
I like the cinematography. Anyway, thanks for enjoying our country. :)
Loving your country, and thanks so much!
No way, maybe battered and fried. Lol
Haha they definitely had that option. I felt like I needed to experience it the natural way first. No regrets...i just probably wouldn't do it again.
Well done on the editing! Subbed!
Thanks a ton, appreciate the support!
Nice 👌👌👌👌
Maybe you can teach how to cook them in your next video! haha
Lol she so discusted she don’t even look at it the entire time haha
Haha she was not having it... I'm not mad about her priceless reaction though!
lol, its yummy if you dip in vinegar with chilli love it😀
The chili and vinegar definitely helped. I might even go as far as to say it was the best part for me haha. Glad I tried it though!
ARRON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????
Go check his new channel! Lots of drone stuff to come!
Noooo could not do it .........great vid though
I've got faith. Just takes some deep breaths and 7 beers.
