Calella de Palafrugell is actually one of 3 small villages/towns that belong to the Palafrugell municipality, a province of Girona. Llafranc and Tamariu are the two other neighbouring towns.

The most popular beaches close to the town are Port Bo and En Calau and these beaches have all the amenities at hand.
However, the Costa Brava is renowned for its rugged coastline and there are several coves and secluded beaches close by, which can be accessed along the Camino de Ronda.
