Thank you Bill for mentioning my book. 20th SOS Green Hornets USAF in Vietnam. Barnes and Noble. To hear your story and to know that reading my book would lead us to an amazing place makes me feel great!. To those reading this, through my connections I was able to track down the crew members that rescued Bill. He had tried for many years to thank these men first hand. Sadly they had passed away. But I was able to track down one of the Pilots sons. Bill and Kip have talked on the phone and shared some stories. As a side note Bill is a great man!
This is awesome! There is a Mohawk sitting outside the back of the hanger I work in, it’s been there for ten or more years, and I’ve always wanted to know some history about them! Crazy looking airplanes!
1:05:15 you start all your vehicles at the same time so the enemy doesn't know how many there are. If you start them one at a time ,they could be counted
I was quite young when I read Laos ops. from the book(s) that was(/were) written about The Green Beret Larry A. Thorne. I wonder if nowadays happens same kind of things that William "Litefoot" Reeder ( & for example "Dynamite" [and his handgun and...]) did when flying or in the other military branches. Caused by "the mental landscape of the war"? They were young when serving in Vietnam in air & on the ground. Younger soldiers take more risks or don't understand all possible consequences.
I wonder if this is weakening our ranks. Because listening to Jocko has made me a stronger individual. I would even say that before listening to Jocko I would not be able to pass buds but after listening to Jocko I think I could. A little background here I'm a United States Marine and I thought into operations. O i f 1 and 2 this is not a criticism I'm just wondering if telling the secrets of how to overcome these scenarios is good for the crop. Because the ones who don't need to be told these secrets that pass on their own fruition are the ones that end up instructing others. They're the ones that end up having success personally and on a team. I almost feel like this type of information should be sealed. Because the masses don't deserve to know this. I only say this because I'm a piece of crap and I'm a damn good Marine
