- I made a mistake when first looking for forks for my tractor. I went cheap and I paid for it. I've since up-graded and I've never looked back.
This video covers the kind of forks you would want for your farm tractor, how to adjust them, and what you need to consider when using them.

I got 42" Titan forks and they work great. Thanks
You can actually tip the bucket forward so the tips just touch the ground and the forks are easily kicked side to side. It takes them out of the bind. much easier than standing between them and lifting. I'm old so I learn these things.
Thanks chunk of good information's here
John, if you were not lifting any loads heavier than 1000 lb, do you think the clamp-on forks would have worked for you? I'm on the fence between a fork attachment like you have and clamp-ons. I can't see ever needing to lift over 1000 lb. We're on 2.5 acres and I'd use it for lifting some cut logs, snowmobile or four wheeler, 3-point implements, etc.
I have same set up. My forks seem kind of loose. Is that normal?
Great informative video. I was wondering can those forks be used for hay bales as well? Smile!
Yes they can.
Solid advice here... Better to spend a little extra up front with quality, pays dividends further down the road. Clamp on forks can be problematic as mentioned here. They also move the center of gravity with respect to the loader arms BEYOND the point they are designed to handle, makes no difference what tractor one is using. The tipsy toesy effect becomes readily apparent when weights extend beyond the lip of the bucket.
Best,
Bill... :~)
Well put WIlliam
What are those tree/ poles in the background?
Thank you real good vid
Put some grease on the slide points. They'll slide much better....
Use graphite instead.
Graphite works quite well. But personally I prefer silicone grease.
Dust/mud don´t stick to it. :-)
