This is an example of terrible consumer waste. The company doesn't want to spend the money necessary to investigate, sort, handle returns, and dispose of shoddy goods, so they turn it into a revenue stream, and let the buyer undertake the disposal costs, and fill the landfills with junk. As always, if it looks too good to be true, then it probably is. Caveat emptor.

    • @andreab265

The thing that really bothers me is that this company does spend money to investigate and handle returns. They know full well when a product they are selling in a returns pallet is not working. This is not a third-party company that receives random Amazon returns with no clue what's inside. John Lewis processes the returns from the customers, affixes stickers indicating that the items are broken, and then has the gall to sell them with a cheeky "we're not promising anything!". It's a scam. Pure and simple. How dare these stores sell unusable and unsellable items at resale value!

Very refreshing to see a returns palette full of things people would actually return (AKA...FAULTY PRODUCTS!!). Always find it a bit hard to believe these other youtubers get dyson air wraps and £2,000 coffee machines with no faults 🙄. Shame you didnt get your moneys worth though!!

I've watched other people do videos like this and I'm almost certain that they put brand new products in with the pallet so the video is more interesting. I love that I don't even have to doubt that Grace wouldn't do that.

Just FYI/PSA, please 🥺 anyone, do NOT put your face near/over the pressure cooker valve! It can be boiling hot 🔥 steam coming out. I've used a P.C. for years and nearly had a heart attack when she did that and almost got burned, but I'm glad for her fast reflexes.

This seems like such a dangerous thing for places to sell and customers to buy. Those products could be dangerously faulty - they literally sold you the microwave that sparks, what if the electric blankets had been returned because they overheat? Not to mention that it ended up as a scammy waste of money as most of the products didn't work.

    • @l.michelle3497

@@l.michelle3497 there are places like that. They buy of Amazon (and other places) and then check, repair, clean and sell for a profit. Cheaper for the consumers than the original new product and the reseller still makes a profit

Believe it or not, some electric blankets won’t heat up until you are under them. They have some sort of sensor. I thought it was poppycock, but my mom bought one and it actually said it on the box.

My brother and sister in law started buying these pallettes not long ago. They take the items and fix whatever they can and then resell them for cheap on ebay (as fixed faulty items!) I also have this machine! I can 100% confirm it will not work without its pods. I have found a hack for reusing their pods but even that is temperamental. It does seem that these machines are a bit of a gamble just based on a ton of reviews I’ve read. I really haven’t had any issues with mine when I use the Nespresso Vertuo pods, though! It can take a bit to “wake up and get going,” in my experience. That’s it and totally fine with me!

Please be careful heating water in the microwave! Look up superheating - basically because of the way microwaves work it's possible for the bubbles not to form as it heats up, then when you move the mug the whole lot boils at once and explodes covering you in boiling hot water.
Ways to mitigate against this are to use an old scratched container or to put something like a spoon (not metal) into the container. Both of these help the bubbles to form.
Also, as others have said, pressure cookers can explode or scald you (as you nearly found out) if not used properly.

I love your videos so much. I won't lie when you pooped your pants over the pressure coming out of the pressure cooker it really did make me laugh ❤️

M&S used to return anything, old or used clothes and homeware that customers would just make up a story for, and now we've stopped doing that which is good. The items have barcodes that tell us exactly when it was bought, where it was sold and who did it 😅 I always just tell them to resell stuff if it can be.

You should try replacing all the fuses in the products that don’t turn on… they could need just a simple fix.
