I could see these being wonderful near hospitals where people need somewhere to go sleep and shower if they are taking care of someone in the hospital. Regular hotels are just too expensive for someone to get a few hours sleep. And at an airport was genius!
Not Grace one minute saying how scary it is that someone could just see in without the blinds then the next saying how she would love to have a peek inside other people’s pods to see what they are doing haha
honestly capsule hotels in airports makes SO much sense. i'm from the US and travel kinda often and the only time i've seen a hotel in an airport was in the detriot airport (i think?) and even though it was a normal hotel its such a great idea. it had it's own little security area for people who were returning back into the airport
My thoughts exactly! I might be able to get into the room, but that bed is a hard pass from me. I'd either be able to get in, but not out, or not in at all 🤣
Perhaps some do have accessible rooms. Older individuals would have problems with these rooms too, especially the traditional ones where you have to crawl in.
@@trishcouncell2342 I genuinely don’t see how they could make them accessible and keep them to that teeny size. But honestly I’ve never looked into it, and never would because just finding a room with a properly accessible loo and shower can’t get task enough 😂
Again, not a capsule :D It's just a tiny room. In real capsule hotels you only get a bed, and while other spaces are all shared, they're very clean and spacious (talking about Japan, ofc).
Amsterdam is a great choice! I feel like you would love all the museums in Amsterdam+ nemo! It also has some cute foodplaces to check :-) i personally really loved Budapest, florence and prague❤️ Oh and Antwerp and Brussels are also lovely places to visit especially around christmas time in my opinion 🤗
I've stayed in that capsule Hotel and hated it, the purple light and air con gave me a headache. Hated that there was no 'escape' i.e. window, and the reason the bed is so high is the next-door room the bed is literally underneath yours. I booked it the night before an early flight and booked it on the way back. I couldn't face it again so I cancelled and stayed at the other hotel inside the airport. It was lovely, tiny but luxurious with a massive window overlooking the runway and only £25 more! xx
Grace, I believe I live vicariously through you!! I am way too old to be doing some of these things, but I love seeing what you are up to each week!! Even if it is just sitting visiting with your family, I cannot help myself! I just love the whole Booth family!! I cannot tell you what joy you bring to me!! Thank you for sharing your life with all us strangers!! If you ever need extra family around the world I could easily be your Texas granny or auntie!!🎉❤😂 God bless you all! bp
Grace!! Have you ever stayed in a hostel with multiple beds in the room? The biggest + worst I've stayed in was 24 beds per room (I had top bunk), 5ish rooms per floor, 4 floors, communal bathrooms with showers that only ran while you pushed them, and a club next door so you basically couldn't sleep because it was so loud... That was in Barcelona and I wouldn't recommend lol. But I know there are some classy + affordable hostels in London with 4-8 beds per room and more comfortable conditions! Also the cheapest way to travel.
Hi Grace! I think you would really enjoy visiting Spain, but more specifically, Valencia. There's plenty to see and do while still being a small and really cosy city. I truly think you would have a great time walking around and discovering all that it has to offer. Also, the food is AMAIZING!!
Really love your video. I will be going to Japan in 2.5 weeks. I always want to see what it is like to stay in a capsule hotel. I had just booked a two-night stay in a regular hotel in Kyoto, then booked at a capsule hotel for the same two nights. Finally, I booked one night at a capsule hotel and one night at a regular hotel. I guess I am nervous and excited at the same time for the new experience.🤣
Love an adventure with Grackle. Can't believe you resisted looking at reviews!!! Haha. I'm also a serial over-packer! The struggle is real! 😅😂 Congratulations once again on the "Oxo" sponsorship 🙌❤️
I love this wee look at this hotel! It feels kinda like one of the fancier sleeper births on a train or something (side note: I would love to see you reviewing a sleeper train bc I feel like your opinions would be really insightful). It makes so much sense for something like that to be in an airport. Great video as usual Grace!
There's a capsule chain I love called City Hub that I would LOVE for you to review, they have a really nice twist on it with an app that connects you to local experts who let you know about local events that tourists don't hear about and all the services are self service using a little wristband nfc tag. Not an ad lol, I just love staying at them
Theres some kind of similar places but I don’t know if they count as capsules. If you book a room with no window for Z hotels, it’s a similar vibe. It was perfect for me and my boyfriend when we spent the weekend in London and were barely around the hotel
You said you wish there was a capsule hotel in London - isn't there a whole chain? Z Hotels? I know they're not actually just sleeping pods but it's pretty much the same thing as the one at Gatwick. Possibly a tiny bit roomier but looking at your room, it's very similar...
This video is nearly two years old, but in London they have Premier Inn 'Hub' hotels, which are still a room rather than just a bed, but it's very compact and looks very similar to these!
I agree with whoever said go to the Christmas markets in Germany. Lady down the street from me goes every year, from Canada! Bet it would be a blast, especially with you mom or sister, or a family trip!
Also Ive stayed in that yotel! I liked it and it was definitely preferable to sleeping on an airport bench, but i found the lack of daylight very timewarp-y 😂
I really think you would enjoy the Netherlands, not just Amsterdam. Perhaps look into the smaller cities like The Hague, Delft and/or Leiden! Also, Alkmaar and Haarlem are more close to Amsterdam and really cute.
You should definitely visit Amsterdam, so many good vibes to be found - the light festival starts in December which always makes for a fun activity during the winter
Crazy, it looks so much like you're staying in a boat or flight cabin! Like I kept expecting you to start talking about where you're going or how the boat is rocking 🤣
£300 parking doesn't shock me. I dropped my nephew off at Gatwick last week, pulled into the drop off point, stopping for 43 seconds and was charged £5.
I love cityhub capsule hotels, the pods are so cozy. You can adapt the lights and music, absolutely love those pods. They have them in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Copenhagen. Also pretty affordable, think around 50 euro a night. Could come in handy for your Amsterdam trip ;)
This was really fun! I'm glad to know it exists, just incase I am traveling to or through England and want something easy, like for maybe a night or two. BTW, I'm noticing in the list of suggested videos one Kara and Nate did at a Capsule Hotel in Bangkok. You may have already watched it, but I think you'll enjoy it if you haven't.
Now I want to explore some capsule hotels too! Also, I just checked the google and Amsterdam does have some interesting looking capsule hotels 😄 I'd love you to come to the Netherlands :)
Ooh if you come to The Netherlands come stay at Hello I’m Local in Haarlem (only 15 min from Amsterdam and an even prettier town)! I might be biased because i work there but I’m sure you’ll love it!😊
Oo yes i think that you will love amsterdam!! Its my second favorite city after Jerusalem!! Which by the way is also a beautiful and amazing place to be😊
Am I mistaken or did the yohotel logo just happen to be the same font as yosushi?? that restaurant where all the sushi goes around on conveyor belts??? they must be branching out
I think you should try a Christmas market in Germany or Austria... did love this video though.. when you pulled out the mini desk I thought, isn't that a step? you go there though.
I suffered a bit of anxiety when you put whole OXO cubes in the pan. You pull out the foil tabs, squash it, rip it open and then pour it.... I live in a one bedroom UK flat, so I'm used to minimalist living. Everything has a place, space is a premium - OK it's not micro, but I have to utilise available space.
Don’t do capsule hotels. You could get a regular sized room for the same $85. Maybe not 5 stars or in the area but better comfort. I was scared for your safety being in the airport capsule. But for 1-nite, it was a cool little adventure 😎💕
I love you all SO MUCH!!!! SO grateful for each and every single one of you. Hope you enjoy this video, make sure you subscribe if you liked it!!! :D
You should stay at the ‘Hotel Not Hotel’ in Amsterdam. It has capsule rooms hidden in bookcases / in campervans in the middle of the hotel!
I've been subscribed for nearly three years - your content, especially the foodie stuff, was most appealing during the first coronavirus lockdown!
I could see these being wonderful near hospitals where people need somewhere to go sleep and shower if they are taking care of someone in the hospital. Regular hotels are just too expensive for someone to get a few hours sleep. And at an airport was genius!
Our Grace is all grown up now. Not long ago she use to get home sick now she's here there n everwhere!! You go girl.
Not Grace one minute saying how scary it is that someone could just see in without the blinds then the next saying how she would love to have a peek inside other people’s pods to see what they are doing haha

There and Orlando airport, I travel often too but those are so expensive haha
I’m from the US too and I really wish we had capsule hotels here.
Way to go on getting the sponsorship queen. Love your videos. Never disappoint. Truly a sweet spirit. Love from Canada 💖
As a disabled person I can’t think of anything worse than a capsule hotel 🤣 But I’m always intrigued to see what they’re actually like
My thoughts exactly! I might be able to get into the room, but that bed is a hard pass from me. I'd either be able to get in, but not out, or not in at all 🤣
I'm partially sighted... I'd walk into anything.
Marianne, I feel you pain.
If we go anywhere we have to ask for handicap room.
However, I think I live vicariously through Ms Grace Booth!!♥️
Perhaps some do have accessible rooms. Older individuals would have problems with these rooms too, especially the traditional ones where you have to crawl in.

Love the comment that the "little table" needs a bit of a clean and then she discovers it's a step!! Cracked me up 🤣🤣🤣
I would love to see you take a trip to Iceland! or maybe the Christmas markets in Germany!
I would LOVE that
I live near Leipzig- come visit and you can see some amazing Christmas markets! Dresden, Berlin, Nuremberg, Erfurt, Quedlinburg…
Again, not a capsule :D It's just a tiny room. In real capsule hotels you only get a bed, and while other spaces are all shared, they're very clean and spacious (talking about Japan, ofc).

Cologne at Christmas time is awesome! Florence is great too, though full of 5 billion tourists on the world’s narrowest pavements on the main bridges!
Second Amsterdam!! You'll love it hereeee
Congrats on the sponsorship! OXO also has these little red wine stock pots that can replace wine in dishes, so handy!
I've stayed in that capsule Hotel and hated it, the purple light and air con gave me a headache. Hated that there was no 'escape' i.e. window, and the reason the bed is so high is the next-door room the bed is literally underneath yours.

Hey girl,
You go get that sponsorship 🥰❤️ oxo reminds me of my childhood, watching my mum do the Sunday roast!
Looking forward to this xx
This was such a relaxing video! I love when you review hotels and I’m so intrigued by the capsule hotels myself! ❤
Grace, I believe I live vicariously through you!!

Never thought about adding a stock cube to spag bol. Gonna try it tomorrow night!

i feel like this is still not technically a capsule hotel 😅 but i do love the tiny room with a private bathroom
This is not at all how capsule hotels are (in Japan, etc). This is more like an overnight train or ferry cabin, really. Also, £85!
This was such a nice vlog ❤ I’m super tired now after work but this made me feel like I was on a cosy little trip 🥹
Omg if you come to Amsterdam I would looove to show you around
Love an adventure with Grackle. Can't believe you resisted looking at reviews!!! Haha. I'm also a serial over-packer! The struggle is real! 😅😂
Congratulations once again on the "Oxo" sponsorship 🙌❤️
THANK YOU!!!! From your fellow serial over packer hahaha
@@Grackle awww yay. Made my day getting a reply from you!!!❤️ Great video. Have a great evening and rest of the week xx

So fun.... especially love the quick test of pillow plumpness 😅
For different star hotels there is like a criteria and check list of things....
I love your videos. They lift up my mood instantly :)
I received found your channel and you’ve now got to be my fave UA-camr! 💖

UNIQLO! Best for basics xxx
14:32 all I heard was “Charlie bit me, that really hurt Charlie!”. 😂🤣😭
Aaa I loved the video it literally looks so fun, kind of like when ur little and u make blanket forts
Amsterdam is lovely. Good to go around Christmas time.
Oxo saw Bisto sponsored Grace and decided to get in on the action - they know a gem when they see one! 💕
Great video. And wow did they make good use of every cubic inch! I've always wanted to try out a capsule hotel.

I felt that DINNEEERRRRRR in my soul
This woman radiates joy and happiness, makes her videos so enjoyablel to watch 🙉
Is your OXO the same one I buy my cooking utensils from? Can recommend OXO can opener. 👍👍👍👍👍
It's official!! I can hunt up my Christmas socks now! 🎉🎉

I love your hotel vlogs!!
Kraków is great
Affordable and so much history / culture
I went a month ago
OXO is my favourite! Mum and dad used the religiously, and so do I! Beef, chicken, lamb, and vegetable stock 😋
It would be cool if you did a train trip through Europe, you could visit Paris, Amsterdam, etc and take us along for the ride. Love your videos! XX
You should definitely visit Amsterdam, so many good vibes to be found - the light festival starts in December which always makes for a fun activity during the winter
Lots of love to you Grace! 😊🧡 Keep up the good work!
Ahhh thank you Melissa :)
Love this video! Also didn’t know they had this so close to where I live! But also no point me ever staying there when I can just go home 😂😂
Oh Capsule Hotels are so interesting! Looking forward to this one!
aren't they fascinating !!!!
@@Grackle so fascinating! It's like being in a futuristic Sci-fi movie. A good example being The Fifty Element-!!
You should do the Christmas Markets in Brussels & Amsterdam. You'd love them!

Amsterdam have some pods you can stay in
Amsterdam has a GREAT capsule hotel i'd love to see you try that one out!!
Do a solo trip to Japannnn, that would be amazingggg
Not grace thinking a luggage holder is a stool 🤣🤣🤣
Try Tokyo Treat. They send you authentic treats and food that you can’t get here. It’s brilliant
She’s beauty, she’s Grace, she slurps her spaghetti in your face

You should if you get the opportunity, such a fun unique time!!!
i think you should try rock climbing (bouldering) !
OMG I love when I catch the new Grace video right when its posted - another GEM of a video!
EKKK I LOVE IT WHEN I CATCH YOUR COMMENTS IN THE NICK OF TIME
Always nice to get a surprise video
Loved this vid xx
they have these molded pods hotels in Europe
You'll make it to Japan, Grace...I've been many times but didn't start going til my early 30s! In the meantime, how about Prague?
