The KIK drum sets the whole song, Arpeggio Analog synth sounds, Hookies Bass with loads of Chorus playing main melodies and Barney’s as vocal/ lyrics changed music in the 1980’s, combining Guitar music and the start of Electronic music and the invention of MIDI created cool Electro Indie Rock which was cool as f#ck and a new genre of music from that of the new romantic cheesy sounding electro synth music which was so uncool!! Obviously Manc musicians/band have always made the best original sounding music, great bands/musicians who are cool without trying to be, it’s just natural if you’re from Manchester, it’s in our nature.

I have seen New Order a couple of times in the 80's. They never really put on a great show. They never work out a stage production with great lights, unusual music intro's, or stage mystery period. Their songs are great but live performances are not their thing. Now Depeche Mode, puts on a great show. Even to this day. I have seen them 10 times since the Rose Bowl in the 80's.

Everyone are entitled to their own opinions but...IMO i prefer live performances, the RAW eliment of playing live and not a perfect studio recording. Bernie never wanted to be the singer but again IMO has done a great job over the years.

Yeah I'm not feeling this version. Looks like they are trying too hard. The whistling is awful. This song is such a classic, they should have not announced the song coming. They should have added a mystery intro. I hate when bands announce the next song. It is more appealing to play that first couple of bars and let the crowd explode.
