Such a good movie. This wont be for everyone but if one of the reasons you love watching movies is because you love and appreciate actors and their craft then wow how could you NOT love this one?! What a challenging part for both Hawkes and Hunt and they rise to it and SOAR onscreen! If you DO choose to invest the time to watch whether you like it or not you DEFINITELY will come away saying I dont think Ive ever seen a movie like this nor probably WILL YOU EVER. Its not your typical 'biographical story about a handicapped person'. Funny,touching,incrediblyacted'. Its not really a full biography, not even close. Just a portion of his life about when he decides he wants to experience sex and how he goes about it WITHOUT being titillating or cheap. Came away with even more respect for Hawkes and Hunt as actors than I had before which was significant. Also a little treat for Deadwood fans, the cast includes Dan,Calamity Jane, and Sol Star! Interesting.. Lol. Also from Perfect Storm? Bugsy and Irene! Love seeing actors who have played parts together before do something different together again.
Loved, loved, loved this movie! Beautiful, funny and touching. Great cast, great story. John Hawkes seems like a really nice and sweet guy, and William H. Macy is hella funny! :D

Helen Hunt looked mighty fine in this flick... In this interview they talk about it having the possibility of going south... well I think it should have... they should have fired Macy and Hawkes and hired Ron Jeremy and Peter North instead. :D
