1. I always thought you had to re-establish both feet behind the kitchen line before you could hit the ball out of the air after stepping out of the kitchen. 2. Only receiving team can make line calls. Spectators have always been ignored.
I'm with you. I've already watched a few other videos on the 2025 rules changes and all were better than this one. Also, over the last couple of years of changes we rece players have learned which ones are worth just ignoring in rec play. Like the one about spectator input on line calls, but especially kitchen fault calls. WAY too many kitchen faults go uncalled because it's impossible to look at that while you're playing. I really appreciate it when someone on the sidelines calls me for a kitchen fault. No sense developing bad habits for tournaments.
I guess the point is that she touches the floor in the kitchen with her paddle before hitting the ball? Yeah not very clear. Long intro is annoying too.
@@profsacin Yeah, that's it. They're making such a big deal out of this rule change, and as far as I can tell a pre-hit bump in the kitchen is the only thing it changes.
Yes, you were always allowed to step in and out of the kitchen, as long as you have both feet outside before the volley (which is now from the point of contact) then you are good.
@@GC-us8oh I can't imagine so. The player must be allowed to make the call they were originally intending to make even if a spectator says something first. Seems like more a reminder to players that they shouldn't be calling based on what the crowd says, rather than a rule which has any actual impact.
According to your "Quiz", only you and your partner can make line calls. So your opponents can't make any line calls??? Also, in an officiated match, you're saying the referee can't make any line calls either!!
Each team makes line calls on their own side of the court. Opponents call their side; referees oversee the match but don’t make line calls. The 2025 rule changes also prohibit input from spectators, and any disagreement between teammates defaults to the ball being "in".

4:19 got it don’t look down while your partner is getting the ball. ;-)
I watched as far as the first clip. "The player swings while standing in the kitchen." No she doesn't. Not worth watching the rest of the video.
Actually, a small lack of correct video does not spoil the point, or spoil the rest of the video. The rule changes are interesting and well-described.

23 seconds for you is long? Yikes, your attention span is COOKED @@profsacin

Anyone else sick of the rule changes? Let's just play the game!
Re:Ernie. Player steps in the kitchen instead of jumping over it…but has both feet on the ground and outside the court when hitting the volley. Good?

If a spectator calls a ball out before the player. Is the player penalized

No this is not an AI channel
@DinkFlix oh cause it started repeating the lessons it already taught in the end exactly the same way
