Finally! Tyll got to experience the Smyth Realizer. This is the technology I hope to catch on and become much implemented and mainstream in a few years. I also hope there will be cinemas or large measuring venues where one can go in and have his/her personalized measurements in a couple of minutes. This has the potential to change the face of not only the cinema and gaming industries, but the audiophile scene as well.
I am so happy that you liked it. I heard it 2016 in Paris and was blown away. As one of the Kickstarter guys I really hope to have the A16 soon at home.
I've had my A16 for three weeks and can confirm, it is fantastic. Made my MrSpeakers Ether2 headphones sound just like my stereo speakers Dali Helicon MK2. And from those two speakers I made PRIR files for 15 channels - since I have no sub at home I used the factory included BBC room sub to make a full 9.1.6 channel Dolby Atmos setup. Sounds amazingly real. Just waiting for the DTS:X firmware upgrade to be able to play DTS:X Blurays.
I love your reviews but your interviews still need a little work. You keep cutting them off... just let them speak! Just my two cents. Thanks for the videos.
For the 2-channel audiophiles among us, what is the reality that can be envisioned regarding use of this unit at high end audio stores to obtain measurements with very good speakers? Will speaker manufacturers allow this? At what price?
How does this compare to the Creative Super X-Fi headphone audio holography? It was on CES 2018 you interrupting bearded beast (jk) so you tested it, right? RIGHT?!
August at the earliest, which doesn't mean it's launching in August. It just got easier than lying and saying "4-6 weeks" every two months to get that preorder money before they merged with Heavenly Sound. Now it's simply "not before eight weeks from now", but more than likely not before December.
It cost 10 times more than Super-XFI and is 10 times larger. SXFI allows you to do the calibration yourself . Not to mention Smyth has been around for more than 10 years and has not produce a single Realizer for sale yet.😒
To be fair....they did release the Realiser A8, which has already been proven to be an amazing product. As an owner of the Super X Fi, it does leave a couple things to be desired...... An example being the head-tracking, which has been proven to be quite important for out-of-head localisation. Still, at this point.....I don't even know when/if they(Smyth) are gonna finally release their product.

Got mine preorder. Can’t wait for this to be released.
Go Smyth Team!

Cool! I want that many Yamahas.
I miss tyll
Maybe in 2025 they will finally be in production. Constantly being previewed but nary a production sale in sight.
This A16 is stunningly late, ordered 2 years ago and still delayed.

Apple should buy this tech and make it affordable for the masses.
“What can you tell us about your little box” turns off video immediately
Launch has been postponed to August......Original price has doubled, due to production costs, it now costs over $4000.

This reminds me of Elio Motors.

And a few pints.
Hey guys, is this product for sale anywhere? Thanks
Here ya go: smyth-research.com/shop/
So you didn't ask the cost?
Well the Kickstarter was under about $1500 if I remember correctly
Thanks
Final production version was said to be $2300
Too much for me right now, but that's actually less than I was expecting, and encouraging for near-ish future prospects.
What matters is finding where you can do personalized measurements for yourself and others who will be watching with you.
