I actually seen mixed people with 4a,b and or c hair so yeah the color of skin don't matter
Its actually rare to find mixed children with 4c.
@@irwinbradley9014 i saw many mixed child with kinky hair
@@milesgs all type 4 hairs are kinky. And i do not say that there arr no 4c mixed pepple, just tgat they r rare
Kenya Moore from real housewives is a mixed child her mother is white and she has type 4 hair. If the genetics are strong enough the curly hair can completely wipe out the straight hair. Take a genetics class it’s actually super intriguing
@@theblackspiritualbaddie646 damn shes so black she must look just like her father I thought she was fully black.

“Your pretty for a Haitian, you sure u not Dominican.” That’s the one I always get Smh I don’t even think people know how rude and ignorant they sound. I definitely understand why you don’t focus on Hair type because our hair, women of color, can look one way dry and another way wet. I never even knew I had curls until I started watching Mercy and using Aloe!
I notice people with loccs and sister twist hair grow so long. That alone tells me low manipulation is key
Ikr! My mom has dreadlocks and her hair grows extremely fast
That very true
I can testify to that I’m currently on a six months protective style and rice water challenge and I grew 2 inch in two months....
@@Motivationanchor7 whats rice water challenge? rice water every week ?
@Patience I apply rice water every two weeks on my wash day.... you can check out my UA-cam videos
It’s good you addressed this hair typing issue! This issue, as you correctly stated is like colourism! Thanks for posting this Mercy. Remain blessed sis!
Thank you Mercy. I'm so glad your on here and promoting black women loving their hair. Amazing
Qismtavia Morgan YES. Black women loving themselves inside and out!

Mercy was put on this earth to project her wisdom and compassion! I just love her videos and atmosphere of her UA-cam channel content!😍😍😍💖✨
Whoever sees this, have a great day and stay blessed 💕
Same to you Queen💓
Ty and same to you👸🏾
Be great on Purpose Queen
Amen!!! I totally agree and I speak on this all the time. I’m a hairstylist and I have plenty black clients with long hair
I have 4C and will continue to watch you because you help me a lot ❤️
Totally agree. I've been natural for almost 2 years and I am now seeing my hair become healthy. With using rice water, aloe vera and my home made oils
That's why I never mention anything about the hair typing system in my videos. Like you said, the most important aspect of our natural hair is knowing and understanding it's needs.
You nailed this! This video should go viral in my opinion. This is why your channel has grown. Your authencity! 💕
That's why we love you😊 you are speaking facts. Black girls can grow long hair especially dark-skinned girls like us I'm tired of stereotypical people.🙄
Girl I'm light skin skinned and I'm sick of this rubbish too...in fact my sis is black n we have the same parents and her hair grows faster than mine and it's beautiful
Please ladies, use a comb, and not a brush, to detangle your wet hair. Aloe Vera gel is thee best natural product to help with that. 💞
I say use your fingers to detangle your hair
@samantha simon I use it with no problem
@@barbarahylton97 yea same combs are actually worse on my hair
@@slentv3650 yes. Only fingers
@samantha simon After you've detangled/combed through, then use it.
Thanks Mercy for bringing it out clearly. Black hair is growable. No mix! Plain Black. Sleak Black. Beautiful hair.
Your consistency and drive is amazing. God bless you for us
I Sooooo agree with you. Hair typing brought discrimination and judgments from our own people as to whether they were natural or relaxed. Love your video.
When she say hi family
Me:hiiiiiiii mercy
Mercy is my favorite natural hair youtuber I have no other natural hair youtuber that can teach me how to take care of my hair
Love it when she talks about natural hair 😍 👑🤗
I'm still on the no heat journey, still wearing my natural twist under my wig. Im excited to see the growth the end of December
You are 100% correct. Keep on teaching and being authentic. Love your family!!! Welcome 🙏
Mercy you helped me grow my hair so long, thank you so much!
Wow I want to see 😭🥰
Me to
me too,my hair is really growing just by using aloe Vera,Thank you mercy❤️❤️❤️
True True True! TY for this video. After combing out my long locs I have struggled with my hair. So I watch Mercy every so often to motivate me to care about my hair more. I'm getting older so my confidence of always wanting to actually grow my natural hair long is slim. Thanks for the help Mercy!
I applaud you for your openness and honesty! Thank you for your support. Love you much!!! Keep these wonderful videos coming!!
i absolutely HATE the dark girl, short/kinky hair assumption. STOP! i just don't understand it. Pigmentation of your skin doesn't have anything to do with the texture of your hair.
Guys the natural hair queen is back bow down because she is the miss African beauty and hair Queen
I agree with you. My hair is lose in the front and tighter in the back. Yes!!! Yes!!! Your hair type should not matter. Hair grows everyday. Black and all types of hair is beautiful. I notice since I have been natural there is a lot of stereotyping about hair. I know for me I always had long hair growing up in Trinidad and Tobago. I think some black people are not use to seeing women of color with long hair. of hair. And sometimes instead of giving you a compliment. It's more negative than positive.
who now memorized mercy's intro because shes says the same thing over and over. XD
Amen I agree with you personal preference. I knew I've been watching you for a reason.🥰😍
The camera gave amazing reflections everytime it changed... Love it!!! 💜
This is so authentic and well said. Thank you for bringing up the hair typing issue. You are so positive and energetic too. What an inspiration
Well said @Mercy Gono👍🏾 Preach!! .
We all need to hear and adhere to this. Thank you so much for being blunt & transparent 😊.
I want to say, every since I began watch Mercy and following her suggestions my hair has grown from a short afro to twist that falls to my shoulders. Thank you Mercy!
Disclaimer: That is my daughter in my email picture icon...Not me.
I am thankful to God for bringing you to my attention. I've been natural for the past 8+ years by accident. Being the only chocolate chip in the cookie dough growing up, my mother kept it straightened because of being the only black girl in the community. It grew, but not very long. Following the way you do hair gave me hope for my hair. I've been trying to stick with 2 or 3 of the channels. Yours by far for me is the best. It's been about 6 months when I subscribed to your channel and have never regretted it. My hair on the top was beginning to thin, panic city!!!! Now, I use the oils and how to handle my hair and it has grown about 1 1/2 inches in the past few months. I've learned to embrace and make aloe vera my "best friend". You have been such a blessing to me. I love your down to earth style. And I was dancing for joy when you hit the viewer "upgrade". I love to see a sister and her family thrive and be successful. You are a joy to watch. So beautiful inside as well outside. Keep on keeping on. Love you sis.
Amazing video! “Good” hair is HEALTHY hair.
Heeey! I'm first 💃💃💃💃. You are rocking that wig girl. I don't even know what my hair type is. I think is one of the C's, it's shrinks and is coily. Love your family, continue the great job. 🇯🇲
Georgia Dyer What wig?
Her hair is very long but yes that’s a wig lol
First here today, compliment of the season to everyone 🎄🎄🎄🎄
I'm glad everyone can grow there hair.
I just started watching your video's but I know I already watched more then 16
I'm soo glad I found you 💕 and your video's 😁
Yes it is possible to grow your hair as long as you want it. We just have to be patient and do the correct things the right way. I want my hair to be long and I'm claiming it, waist length in Jesus name
Great video. People are something else I had someone at church root me (placing her finger through my hair). She didn't believe my hair was real she was lucky we were in church lol.
When I went natural in 2001. There was no UA-cam. But it has been great. I love that y there is so much content out now. This 2020 my hair has grown so much and partially diet and other is tips from many peoples videos. This is my first year I didn't watch what I eat. And lastly I minimized stress. Great video!
Hi Mercy, when are you going to talk about nursing again? Do you still working night? How do you find time to everything. I work nights in the day time I don't have energy for anything.
That was the best information about hair texture that I have heard explained. I always knew that my hair was 4c and beyond. 😄 it's very difficult to do and it cost me a lot of money to keep it up. That's why I love your natural hair video of natural beauty products to use, too keep the hair healthy so that it can grow. I'm 60yrs young and appreciate this video. Say hello to Nandy and Nadia for me.
Loved how you mentioned colorism. Protect darkskin women 💝
So professional ❤️. Love watching your channel
Yes, we all can grow long hair. Thank you for this video!
No we all can’t this is genetic
@@imjustsayin34 anyone can grow long hair. Genetics determine the rate of hair growth, not how long it can grow. So one girl can grow waist length in 3-4 years, whereas it might take another girl 5-6 years to get to waist length
💝Yes. "That is God's WORK."
You are right girl any type of hair grows thanks to you👍👍👍 i started the hair rutine and it really grows and don't listen to any one who discourages you any black women hair can grow
I agree with everything you said. A lot of Black women believe that it’s impossible to have long hair because of what they were shown/ told. Some people have asked me did I have on a wig or weave added to my hair because of how thick my hair is. It’s not that long but because of how thick it is, they ask “is that all your hair” and then they follow up with “I wish my hair was that thick” and I always say “you don’t know what you’re asking for” lol because thick hair is a lot harder to deal with. My hands be Hurt and Tired from doing my hair.
Happy you spoke on this subject. It was very needed amongst women of color.
my eyes literally bugged out my head when the video started. yessss queen!! so beautiful 😍
Thanks so much for clarifying about types of hair! Also, loving the sweater. TFS!
You always look good Mercy
I totally agree that education is everything. Glad we have people like you to promote the beauty in black women and show us how to care for what God blesses us with naturally
Thank you for sharing. Since I've been watching you and doing what you said my hair has really growing. You are so right we are our own enemy. You have to take care of your hair. I have 4c hair type. I didn't know what type hair type I had thank you for sharing again.
Mercy! Mercy! Mercy! THANK YOU 🙏. You ADDRESSED this hair SITUATION WELL!!!! I appreciate you very much. Gif bless you and your family these HOLIDAYS my sista. Also, you look Very Beautiful too. Until the next time .

I LOVE the message in this video! Thank you for speaking on it!
This is what every woman and man needs to hair?👏👏👏👏👏👏
You are glowing Mercy💖💖Natural hair is beauty it doesn’t matter what type of hair you have as long as it’s taking care of. Thanx for sharing and enjoy watching your content. Season greetings🎄🎄🎄
Mercy!Mercy! Thanks for the awesome hair videos 😍 My mum is also trying to learn how to care for her hair after she noticed the changes in my hair! Thanks gal.Lots of love from Kenya 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
With care anything is possible i was stuck at above shoulder length for 10 years i have been natural for a about 2 years now and i have colar bone length now my hair grows slowly but at least it grows now
Love ur hair cause All types are beautiful and Healthy hair is good hair
Its as simple as that
I’m loving the background
🥰🥰🥰❤️
OMG it's like u get prettier every video !!
I would love to have natural hair but I’m very tender headed and I’ve got to perm it monthly, but shoutout to all those who have natural hair 👍🏽👍🏽
You were born with natural hair, honey🥳
Great video you addressed everything correctly and so true!!
Some people are SO ignorant my hair always remained in the middles of my back (when wearing a perm) and now with being natural my hair grows the same and I’m 100% BLACK also and now pushing 40 and I went back to natural 12yrs ago. Keep doing wat ur doing beautiful someone will always have something to say rather it’s right or wrong😪🙄
I like to say I have 4Z hair because its too rough, thick and tight, although I have curls which I thought was not possible lol but I'm really starting to learn to get to know my hair and how to 'deal' with it, it's really hard not going to lie but I have more confidence when I see people like you- other black girls/women care for their hair instead of go the easy route to perm or relax it for it to be "more manageable". I even noticed younger black girls around my area with their natural hair out and I just felt sooo proud of them and encouraged by them also. Its such a great feeling to have a community that you feel apart of
Love the video! You are such a wonderful inspiration for women who want to grow their hair. God Bless You and your family! Thank you so much. 😃
Dear mercy iam from sudan and I am one of your family member.
Many thanks for the tips and hints that you always give us
God bless you always.
AWESOME VIDEO Mercy! Thank you for inspiring us to make great hair solutions videos!!!!
Morning 🌄 Mz Mercy. Looking good 👍 girl. I got my 4c hair type straightened at the salon on yesterday. I'm excited, its my first time since going natural in 2010!☺
Thank you 👏🏽 because knowing type 1-4 means nothing! Ppl really need to stop it.. learning your hair porosity and hair density is 1000 times more important than a curl typing system that was created by man 🙄
Thank you so much for your explanation on hair because I feel you know as well as everyone else about hair. I have been following you for a long time. I pray your husband and daughter is doing great and healthy in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Keep up the great work. I love all of your topics. Amen
Hi Mercy
I started watching you on youtube, and just wanted you to know i love your show and i am proud of you for speaking the truth.
Keep up the good work about natural hair, i too mess up my hair because of perm etc. But chopped it all off and start taking care of and now it has grown long and natural.
Great job and i enjoyed listening to you all the time.

Petra Rossman
good morning thank you so much all you said is all true talk dear Mercy I would like to just say thank you for encouraging us all black ladies no matter what tip of hair you have we can still improve it 😘 stay blessed🙏 big sis love from Uganda😘
Thank you so much for this video! My hair is natural and for some reason I couldn't figure out why my hair is straight in some places and curly in some.
So glad to watch this today. My daughter has so many different textures to her her. She has shrinking hair just like me so sometimes she can get upset once it’s washed it just shrinks. We are on journey and God willing we will get there. Thank you for your advice. God bless you.
Because of how you encourage us,am going to serious taking care of my hair.good job👍❤
Thank You so much for the encouraging words.
You are so optimistic.😊
You are my hair inspiration and I'm grateful 🙏🙌❣️💕💞
I love your content.
You inspired me to start my 4c UA-cam channel. Love all the way from Africa, Namibia🇳🇦
Oh yes girl, you’re absolutely right .
Thank you for this video 👏
Hey family ❤️
Don't worry dear some people have no love so instead they become jealous so don't stress cos for many of us ur remedy is working 🥰
And yes we are all mixed within our own race. Our parents have different DNAs. Thank you for your videos.
Ms Mercyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!! We love the message today!!! We always try to promote the fact that all hair is good hair and all skin colour is good skin colour! Kisses for Nadia......ok and for you too hehe
I am a new subscriber I watched a couple of your videos, I am very intrigued you are very intelligent and you certainly deserve the growth on your channel. You are very creative and I love your content. I am going to share your videos so my daughters will subscribe. I am a black female growing my natural hair.
I’ve seen my hair flourish I’m just not consistent bc it’s so thick so much and I’m soooo lazy 🤦🏾♀️🥴🙄 braids I keep it braided down and it’s like hers it’s all types going on in this head

EARLY GANG. LOVE YOU MERCY. YOUR ADVICE RELLY HELPED ME GROW MY HAIR.🥰🥰🥰

Thanks for the info i have a few different hair types. Relaxers were to strong for my hair. After i went natural my hair finally grew past my shoulder now i need to learn how to grow my damaged edges
I love your video they are really helpful still confused about the hair type thing. I get it to people would ask me the same if I'm mixed like it's the only way to get long hair. I had problems with dry scalp and your videos really helped.....keep it up girl.
Yup I get the same reaction when people see my puff ball and they ask where did you get your ponytail from like what beauty supply and I’m like 😂😳 Its my hair
Great video, personally I am 3 A and 3 B but I have low porosity that is so annoying. Your hair is beautiful
Nice video mercy. Is that your hair get sooo long? Congrats on your successful hair journey.
