Well because of you i did install cam in my 6.0suburban with speed engineering headers and borla exhaust with no cats. I love it. Not sure about the neighbors. Ha ha. Tuned by mailordertuner with no problems. Thanks again
@@juiceboxhero6391 Are you running the stock torque converter? If so, how does it drive? I'm about to put this cam in my suburban and would really like to know if i'd be better off saving for a converter.
@@dammitcarl1082 I’m running the factory converter and it drives like stock when regular driving. An upgraded converter will definitely perform a little better but it will drive just fine on the factory converter. Just make sure you get a good tune.
@@juiceboxhero6391 Sounds perfect then. I'm just looking to pick up some power without drastically changing the driving characteristics. I've already done exhaust and intake. Seems the truck norris will do that. Thanks!
plan on doing this on my 2005 soon! sounds awesome brother 🎉
Thanks man. Goodluck with it!
that sounds pure badass. Not too choppy of an idle but great sound.
I love it. Going to do that to my 2005 suburban soon. Sounds great
Thanks man. It’s worth it.
@@juiceboxhero6391what spark plug and wires are you running im doing the same on my 07 tahoe with 3/4 longtube headers
@@dontadeshun I’m running Ac Delco plugs and I’m running some cheap 45 degree Amazon plug wires atm. They’ve held up good so far.
😄

Which XR1 part number is this?
This one is 40085
@@juiceboxhero6391 sweet, thanks!!
Ok i like the build BUT why do you have such a fast and BIG SUV
I wouldn’t necessarily call it fast but I just like to be a little different and not be like everyone else
Sounds good..whats your idle set at?
About 700 when warm.
Does it chop in gear or just park?
@@joseh4685 it hits pretty good in gear too.
Ive got about the same setup with the cam too on my 2012 silverado do u have any low vacuum and brake issues?
No issues here.
What components did you also upgrade when you changed your cam? I got a 00 suburban with 222800 miles on it
I did the cam along with ls7 lifters new pushrods and ls6 valance springs. I went ahead and upgraded the head gaskets as well and new ARP headbolts

Man your idle on your short video...sounds really good...how you get it to sound like that?
The truck Norris cam sounds good man. The tune also has a lot to do with it too. I’m using Blackbear performance
Was it a mail order tune?
@@joseh4685 it is. This was the base tune to get me going. They got it pretty close but I’m still doing some data logging to perfect it
Whats idle at
@@jb333zy3 about 8-850
Any stall converter needed¿.¿
I’m running a factory size stall
@@juiceboxhero6391 did you do springs/pushrods/lifters too?
Nvmd just read description lol thanks!!
Did you get the tune datalog finalized and finished with blackbear?
I did. Turned out great
Bravo Sir that's what I'm going to work on this year on SUV Mopar though
