There is a semblance of hope that things will change in Zimbabwe. I tenaciosuly believe that this change will only come when the people (citizens) unite against the corrupt government - a regime change is needed.
Zim has suffered for too long my brother. You need to stand up
I believe this!! Do not be afraid people. These people are not scary they are human beings .. we’ve put them on a pedestal for too long
Good luck to you all. I hope you finally stand together and take your country back.
I just don't understand how Africans allow their "rulers" to treat them like dirt and get away with it!
Only when ZNA Unite with Citizens
So how do u propose the govt sells gold being under sanctions? How do the govt finance the budget? It's easy to criticize but hard to innovate.
This so sad. All country's resources goes to the pockets of a few individuals yet they blame sanctions everyday. They even sent civilians to seat at gate of US embassy in Harare with no shelter, toilets, food and all the basic human needs. It's so so SAD! 😞
This shows how hard it gets day by day for a common honest man to make it..The system is polluted favourable cor criminals
Mwari vakayambutsa maIsraelites pindirai kumaZimbabweans😢.People are despised in other countries, given names like makwerekwere becoz they are trying to feed their children, working low paying jobs asi vamwe vachingowana zviri nyore nekuba😭😭😭We don't believe in karma, we believe there's a God who changes situations.Pindirai Mwari 😢
Take it to the streets
Time to stand up & unite. This can't be allowed to go on
Give up the ignorant and false belief in god and stand up on your own might and take your country back! You are despised all over the world for your weakness because you choose to live on your knees waiting for 'god' to save you. Get up off your knees, stand up and fight!
That’s the prob with Zimbabweans we pray n do nothing hahaha we shld fight mhani….this is our gold too
God would not intervene in an argument between a thief and a coward.
Well these journalists did a perfect job.I mean this was really great u deserve awards
Leadership is a privilege to better the lives of others. It is not an opportunity to satisfy personal greed.
Mmm
Unfortunately it’s seen as an opportunity and there’s no contagious disease than GREED. The crux of this documentary is to highlight how vast sums of money are only enjoyed by a select few while the real beneficiaries toil in excessive economic quagmire. That’s the sad story of Africa with all the mineral wealth it possesses with nothing to show for it.
Thanks to the Al Jazeera team for exposing the very reason why Africa has gone to such low levels while the rulers are so lined up
so basically, "Zimbabwe is open for business" is code for gold smugglers
It makes sense now
It’s so sad how there are poor citizens in Zimbabwe yet other people are getting illegal money, this should be stopped!!
Why?
How are they going to sell their minerals then with all the sanctions?
@Lisa Peters :- There are a lot more poor people here in South Africa but Anglo American , BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto , Sibanye still , Northam Platinum do not care about them . All they do is take the minerals outside the country, sell and keep the money abroad ( UK, Australia, Switzerland ). Africa has been Looted for far too long because the elections in the continent are rigged by Whites in favour of their preferred candidates . Under normal circumstances Cyril wouldn't have beaten Mrs Zuma,, but money was poured into Cyril's campaign by the cape town, London, Frankfurt and Sydney Mafia .
@@kenarts11 so why not build the country with that money, do you have boreholes in towns were you live. Have your relative told to hold their foetus in their hands because the doctors could not attend to them. Do you have a sister or female friends who died giving birth. Just pray one day you won't get and be turned away in the public hospital because they don't have a bed for you. That gold being smuggled per week is equal to 5 million, so stop mentioning sanctions
@@teeliving4 ur analogies don’t make sense. The world needs to lift those sanctions to give zimbabwe an opportunity on the global market
Please put these episodes in one Playlist titled zimbabwe gold mafia investigations or so. To aid us viewers visually and make it easier for us to find the videos
Did you know that you can create your own playlist of videos you like here on UA-cam?
Thank you for this great documentary & exposing the horrible TRUTH! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👌🏾💯
This is some insanely hectic 😳 level of cruelty exposed here!
Really Appreciate the Journalists who have published this.
We are living amongst devils am telling you👹
Before I watch. I just wanted to say I was waiting for this for an entire week
all of us brother
@@u.802yeah 😂
First things first….let’s not mention any names…5 mins later, so this is Henrietta’s project😂
I couldn't stop laughing 😂
Kkkkkk
And you hear som1 saying its all staged...
Heartbreaking 😢😢
The fact that the highest seat amongst the governing body within Zimbabwe’s ruling elite, has scared all local journalists, means that it is more probable that many will refrain from sharing ideas concerning this pending issue within Zimbabwe. They have heavily crippled the economy of Zimbabwe, all precious resources are going to waste or simply rotating amongst the ruling elites or anyone with ties to those elites.
Hopefully the documentaries will be translated to all Zimbabwean languages and get distributed to village heads and chiefs.
😢you are right thts were the voters are. as loyal as they are poor
Ignorance is a powerfull illness
Hit like if you are not ok with this looting of funds by these Gold Mafia's in Southern Africa 😢😢😢
Thinking our feelings towards this makes us good people does not make us good people. The Christians here will remember that Peter denied knowing Jesus three times. That story is told so that we don’t cower in the face of sin. Yet here we are, playing at moral righteousness while we hide in the dark as the sin ravages the land. We are ashamed of ourselves.
and what are these likes going to do about this problem? go seek attention elsewhere, we need to be having serious discussions here.
They have money 4 every were
In other words, "please give me likes".
I saw it on my news feed that episode 2 is out 😄
Kubi !!
Kushubile !!🤞🏾
😄😄😄😃🙆🏾♂️
I'm gonna come later to watch and learn, after work.
Thank you Mr. Khan for speaking out. Be safe
He was a part of it also , just because he got caught that's why he is speaking out, he is just as bad as the rest of them
@@kingclee83 fair enough but if they all retired from conning the state then the general public would actually gain from the country's gold. Thanks to him for exposing his brother
@@melmhnd13 now what are the chances of that ? I mean this has clearly a well oiled engine and all that will happen I a change of faces
@@kingclee83 true but my point is that, he retired from the mafia and thanks to him for snitching else this documentary probably wouldn't have been there
@@kingclee83 He is giving us the most important information to take the organisations down from the inside with Investigations like these. We wouldn't know anything if no one would talk.
South Africa isn't any better off, the amount of zama zamas and corrupt politicians is alarming. the whole SADC region is a cesspool.
We know why...
Colonial legacy
Time is up for blaming colonialism, sanctions and apartheid
@@revothomas9343 90 percent of wealth and land in South Africa is owned by whites, the whole financial system is controlled and owned by whites and here you are vomiting we shouldn't blame colonization and apartheid,if you are black you are actually worse than those gold smugglers
@@chiyenyumba7135 It's human nature. show me a country that is not(has never been) corrupt on this planet.
@@revothomas9343 it's not time up. It shall always be a, problem for Africa whichever angle you look at it. Right now an African child is born and can die without seeing an African wild animal apart from TV. But a colonial descendents child will grow up with African wildlife sampling all game meat direct benefits of colonialism.... Then you say forget you are a day dreamer. Africans need emancipation of mind of life Africans need a break
We are here experiencing what we already assumed being unmasked, it's sad how those in power don't really put the masses at heart
It’s little different in any country around the world.
So all countries do have these mafia like organisations in power
They don’t Care, yet the citizens follow them like Frogs
This Al Jazeera squad is phenomenal 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This should be in Netflix ❤❤
no, youtube is better, no paywall
UA-cam is free....and majority has access to it.and more people get informed...
Netflix should have funded the $200K fee to meet with the president! But Western states are behind the sanctions that perpetuate corruption.
I don't want this documentary to end please... 🙏
Journalists of the millennium. It will take 1000 years to replicate the same masterpiece. Well done Aljazerra
I’m sickened by this disgusting corruption, the bleeding of Zimbabwe’s gold at the expense of the millions of the ordinary citizens who are suffering. Also these men who say they are Pastors with churches I find that words just escape me of these vile men. 🤮😢😢
I worked in Matabeleland North for 9 years. Ndlovu Clinic, Sacred Heart Mission Lukunguni, Milonga Clinic were manned by one old ambulance, the same ambulance would wait two days to deliver the few drugs for patients at the deepest end. Then this comes up.
Guys at Aljezeera you are doing humanity a great deed. This goes beyond media but media that shapes the society and cleans up the dirty.
Never have seen such a dedicated, selfless work of journalism in a long time.
The effort and the throughness is unmatched.
On behalf of humanity I say thank you. 👏
And to greedy people and politicians I say damnation to you.
Great story telling. Loved the reporting. Very well told and great footage
Best documentary of the year.
How can Zimbabwe progress with thieves like these in high offices? 😪
In general hole Africa.
It explains why Africa keep wallowing in poverty despite numerous resources and foreign aid support. We have so many Hippocrates in Africa. People who care nothing about African progress.
It's time we go to the last option of just eliminating such leaders. It's pointless trying to reason with them
I feel for those bank workers who tarnished their career all because of 800 USD. That's totally not worth it
greed
800$ was just basic payment, their favors and request were paid for separately
Why do you feel sorry for them? They made a conscious decision, knowing what they were doing was wrong. Criminals. I don’t feel sorry for them whatsoever.
Not worth it at all
Did you hear the house rennovations, overseas vacations...they can rotten
Sadly, as an African nothing about this was shocking to me. Corruption is rife in the motherland.
African leaders have fleeced their countries dry without batting an eye.. May they pay for the evil they're putting their countries through..
thank you Al Jazeera! you are a champion in international investigation
