I remember there being one race where he decided to play fair and square, no tricks, no cheating. Throughout the whole episode the announcer kept goading him to cheat, but he remained fair. And guess what, HE WON! You could see him win. But the announcer said to go back to an instant replay and it shows him farther back than he was, and his nose cone extending to win, so he was disqualified and lost his win. From then on, he went back to his tricky ways because he knew that even if he played fair he'd still lose. I had an older cousin who told me about that episode and said how when they saw it they yelled at the screen because they were upset about what happened. While looking up Tankmon on the wiki, because the Evolution system in that game can be very involved sometimes, I come across this great bit of trivia. The Gruesome Twosome were always my favorite, mostly bc I love the gothic horror aesthetic and all things spooky, and their concept lended itself well to a lot of creative tricks! Not the biggest in terms of personality, but hey, they were just really fun to watch for me. That being said, The Mean Machine is still the best lol

@@nervous_wreck8726 YEAH it's really neat!! I am a big fan of vampire characters so I have a bias towards Lil Gruesome bc of that but yeah they're a fun duo! I adore the spooky theming & aesthetic they have.

It seems so often that if a woman is smart, strong, skilled, or any combo of the 3, she has to be not focused about looks or has to be "one of the guys" to be taken seriously but still has to come across as hot.
Yeah she uses it to her advantage, mostly on peter. It is still great to have a main female character in a cartoon, which wasn't too common back in the 60's
A lot of these racers I completely forgot about. Dick dastardly was great in this cartoon, He was even better in Scoob! He proved that he was more than just a villain, he had a Well crafted backstory explaining his motivations ( Getting Scoob open a portal to a Literally golden world To save Muttley Who got trapped in there A little while back) and you actually do feel for him. It’s good because the whole rest of the movie was pretty mediocre, so seeing one genuinely good character in there was a relief.
Out of all of them, Dick Dastardly and Muttley are the greatest!! Without Dastardly and Muttley's Cheats and Tricks, The Races and the Show in general would be very boring to watch, Dastardly and Muttley are the ones that make the show Very Fun and Exciting, They are my Heroes. The Only reason I watch Wacky Races is because of them. Without them, I wouldn't watch the show at all.
That is very true. Just imagine and episode without them... Here come the racers and they are racing and now they have finished. Every cartoon needs a villain. Although the other racers would occasionally fight each other.

Dick Dastardly never wins because the writers and animators won't let him.
He would have won if it wasn't for those meddling writers and animators
Also that narrator is not helping him win at all.
Pat Pending....best name ever!
Always took the boulder mobile on dreamcast, they made little me roar with laughter I was fond of them ahahahahah
I had the ps1 game and they would be my favourites to pick as well. Since you had to unlock the mean machine.
2:38 that’s it, you just signed your death warrent, no-one insults Luke and Bubber Bear like that
I am sorry. Never take me seriously haha.
I love all the characters in their own way.
I like that Dick is the same voice as Gargamel from Smurfs.
I would say favorites for the Wacky Racers would be the Gruesome Twosome, the Buzz Wagon, Peter Perfect, and of course Dick Dasterly and Mutley. The two I liked the least were Red Max and Pat Pending as fof the most part them seemed to have the least personality and stuff to do in the episodes, which given the Slag Bros rarely said anything says a lot. But it was a fun little cartoon to watch and the game that came out in the 2000's was solid.
Yeah Red max is kind of one note.
is that the ps1 game? Because that's the one i played.
Which although i had my frustrations with was still great fun to play.
But i know there is a few that came out on the wii and ps2 as well.
@@ClassicGamerX11 The version I played growing up was on the Dreamcast but I was probably the same game you played just different platform
I had a Wacky Races board game when I was a kid.
There was quite a lot of awareness of the Red Baron at the time, not least due to the very successful novelty song Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron.
I am a fan of the wacky races and I do say that it’s better to compare driving stats then to speak about your opinions because other people won’t like them if you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything at all.
that's interesting how people are different and may have different opinions
1. one female and she only cares about lipstick - so what
2. peter perfect's car look like pingas! this is cartoon for children! - maybe I was weird kid but it never looked to me like painis
3. this is a airplane from WWII! this is show for children! - I was not scared by that. For me it was funny idea that plane participates in car races ^^
4. Penelope Pistop, she is so stereotypical! - favourite racer of girl from my classroom. She loved all these cosmetic stuff
Penelope Pitstop helped to usher in my puberty.
Muttley has to be the best cartoon dog
Army surplus special…abbreviate it. 😂
Yakko: Mwah, goodnight everybody!
Peter Perfect was my favorite Wacky Racer. I never understood why he didn't win more often. Only like twice.
Yeah, and he's the only one with an actual real race car
