Dude...I'm sure you have heard this before, but it is obvious that you have spent a lot of time with Allyn (LCN), and I mean that as a good thing. BTW...I just "sprayed & prayed" while I put down my N-Ext Four Pack, along with a little more of a kick with some liquid iron. I don't have the 7-0-0 Green Effect yet, as it is still in transit, but I figured it would work almost as well. Holy lawn! I thought my lawn was dark before. Now it is absolutely the greenest and darkest lawn in my entire neighborhood. It is so blue and silvery!
Well the Gov. Pritzker of Illinois said I had the tightest grass in all the Land! So you stay on that side of South Bend pal! 🎼I got my tight grass😉...
The Next products are the real deal. I've been gardening in my current yard for 18 years and it is the best it has ever looked; I believe due to using the next products. I use plenty of humic, rgs and micro green but use all the other items as well. My yard looks almost unbelievable her in south alabama. Your channel and lawn care nut have given me so much info. Thanks.
Started watching your videos, thank you for sharing great informative videos. I just applied the Air 8, RGS, Humid12 and Microgreen this past weekend over a 3 day period here in Elgin, Oklahoma. I just got a new box of D thatch, Green Effect, Microgreen and Humid12. Looking forward to the initial results. Question, what nozzel are you using on your sprayer? I just got my 2 gallon field king promax sprayer in today and was planning on using it for the D thatch.
Hi Jake! I started following you and LCN just recently. I'm new to lawn care (first year having lawn and house). I know it's late (getting into late summer) realizing that I have to do something with my struggling lawn during this hot/muggy season. I am very interested in getting N-Ext products. It is a bad idea to apply their products on dormant and stressed grass, is that correct? My lawn has brown spots everywhere. I found some dollar spots as well. Soil is heavy clay and very compacted from high traffic. I am planning to aerate, topdress and overseed this fall. I hope I can start using N-Ext products around that time..? Anyways, I really enjoying watching your channel!
great color Jake. Good work. I am having similar color responses. I am using a different receipe, but some similarities in what ingredients you are using. Keep working Hard. All the best.
Hey mate from Australia you're doing a fantastic job with these vids. Just an idea but I think the next step for you is your own tv show with LCN on one of the big tv stations down there. I reckon give it a crack mate you have a gift plus you might be the first young celebrity out there to do a show on lawn care and maintenance. Maybe LCN can manage you or you could work as a team. Maybe soon enough you could be the first celeb walking down the red carpet with a lawn mower. Keep the vids coming. Wish you the best!
Bruh! You are going to be a PHD of Lawncology before you even get to college!! Lawns looking great! Next year you have to break out the Hydretain and test it out for us!!
Mechanical dethatching is stressful. Liquid D-Thatch is a great summertime product (thatch or no thatch) as it will stimulate microbial activity in the soil.
Jake - great stuff as usual! During your last minute of the vid, I noticed you have some of your leaf blades dying out / yellowing / spotting (like I get here in Michigan, always in July-Aug). Have you seen that increase with the cut-height change to the lawn? Or just normal summer time fungus fun...
Great video Jake. I didn't order enough DeThatch from GCF, so I had to make some home brew by mixing 1 gallon of Molasses with 1 gallon of beer (19K sq foot lawn) and adding 9 oz per 1000 18-0-0 Greene Punch. Having said that, the DeThatch is much more convenient. My normal "witches brew" is 9 0z 18-0-0 Greene Punch, 9 Oz 0-0-2 Microgreene, 9 oz of DeThatch(all per 1000 sq foot), and a small amount (Like 0.38 oz/1000 sq foot) of T-Nex PGR. I do the Witches Brew every 28 days. I live in the DFW metroplex, have Tifway Bermuda, and it is seriously hot now (Like 98 degrees and a heat index of 110). Bermuda is way healthier than last year.
Great video. I've been watching your stuff for the past year and I really like how you explain things. I was wondering why when you sprayed D-Thatch you used a back pack sprayer and not a hose end. Thanks
@@JakeTheLawnKid awesome thanks. Looking forward to the next video. I just started using the N-Ext Products this past week. Hoping for some good results. Thanks
I don't think the all liquid plan works as good up north. All the videos I see of guys doing all liquid the grass dosen't look as good as it did when they were using next product with millo. Proof is in the pudding.
How do you apply the greene punch without clogging the hose sprayer? I have been using one of the ortho sprayers, removed the metal screen on the in take tube and still it clogs every few seconds and needs to be shaken and the trigger pumped on and off.
I understand you wanted to use only liquid products this year but your yard seems so depleted. Please throw in some granular. I’m sure even an application of synthetic would give a nice kick and make it darker than it is right now. Why not use corn gluten if you want to stay organic. You could add a great dose of nitrogen for dirt cheap.
Good job. I must say you need different video cam. The color is way off. The lawn looks yellow and I know it's not. Just wanna let tough know bro. Good stuff Jake
As long as mixing, just make sure you stay within the dilution ratios you're fine. Watering is optional; If you're not feeling too confident in your app, water it in.
Nice vid again Jake, keep up the great job. How is your POA trivialis doing? Do you think it is under control? I have many patches in the lawn this year, like many of my neighbors, and many youtubers (maybe bad seeds last fall, maybe bad luck). I am monitoring it, not taking any drastic action, and was wondering how you were coping with it. Cheers!
If you had to buy them next products out of your own pocket would you use them ? I doubt it. I bet you used at least a thousand dollars of that stuff and your lawn is just good, not great.
@@YoMamaBoyfriend007 can only but four at a time. So 100 bucks a pop. And he throws down a lot. Very expensive what he's throwing down. I don't think you need that much. Some throw down all the iron just so it looks green.

Solid info Jake! I like seeing your progression as a lawn professional!

understanding the nature of microbe activity i would think spring summer the product would work best
Yep, exactly right.
There's hope for the younger generation with role models like this young man. Smart, hard working, and industrious.

Great vídeo!
It's winter in Australia now, the grass is dormant. Not worrying about the lawn just trying to stay warm. Bring on summer.

I’m surprised your sprayer didn’t clog! Very tempted to try this out now that we’re hitting high 90’s here in Utah!
QUAD!?!?!? Sweet dude.
does that d thatch really eliminate the dead grass blades?
Yep

Jake- how do I measure next products for back pack sprayer ?? I have been using ortho dial sprayer
I thought dethatching In the summer time is bad for the lawn? Too much stress? Or does this not apply to liquid d-thatch?

It's personal preference; You can use whichever one you want as long as the product is watered in during and/or after application.
@@JakeTheLawnKid awesome thanks. Looking forward to the next video. I just started using the N-Ext Products this past week. Hoping for some good results. Thanks
I thought that 700 was a no-no mixing with 002.. It made a horrid mess in my sprayer, even when dropped into water.
Hey Jake, did you do a follow up to this video? Also, did you water in after application of the quad dark? Thanks!

It's in the works! 😜
Can you do a review of your lawn tractor?
But what about infinity dark!
when are you be getting your truck back Jake

I don't: I just use my backpack sprayer mostly. As long as you stay within the recommended dilution rates, you should be fine.
@Jason Fournier - John Perry was showing LCN how to quickly clear the Ortho in LCN's latest video. It's at the end.
StrikitRich take that John Perry!!

Any specific time of day to put down these products? Also, does the temp have any input into the time of application? Thanks.
You can apply whenever you want, idealy in the evening as the plant tends to absorb nutirents more easily during the evening hours.

As far as the POA, I just let it go. It didn't look too hot in the spring, but as we got to summer, it started to die out.
Were can I get all this chemical please send the information about you chemical thank you
Juan Rivera it’s at the chemical store!
How hot was it when you applied all of this did you water in right away
Temps were 80-90. I watered right after.

So many chemicals...
Not so much chemicals, more so vitamin supplements for the lawn.
Jake didn't use any pesticides (not that there would be anything wrong with that) only humic based fertility products.
You should invest in some rubber boots to help keep your pant legs cleaner and dry lol
Not to be be nosey but it looks like some one trenched something in the middle of your front yard. Any repair plan? Perhaps a video on repairing.
You mean the garden hose laying over the grass?
Look 39 sec in in the middle of the lawn could be a hose but looks like trenching.
Nope, just my garden hose laying in the yard. Lol
