Years back I did a resonator delete on my Shelby GT350 but as I explain in the video, it wasn't the best solution. As the years went on, I started noticing very annoying rattle sounds. I didn't know if it was the clamps for the heat shield, a broken exhaust hanger, etc. I figured I'd start with a clean slate and order the Ford Performance / Borla resonator delete cat back exhaust system. So that's where we're at now. It sounds great, and I'm looking forward to making more content with it in the very near future. Thanks for watching!
Similar thing happened to my car, although I had my heat shield tack welded back on. The problem was just the heat shield rattling and coming loose. I noticed the rattling a lot under 2k rpms but not in the higher rev range. I ended up just cutting the heat shield off and no more weird rattling.
Have you even taken this car down Lime Creek road? It isn't too far from you and it has a lot of tight twists and turns that im sure a gt350 would enjoy. I live in the same area as you and recognized all the roads and just wanted to let you know that there is at least one good driving road in an area lacking such roads.
not sure why you didn't just cut out the resonators and bridge the factory x-pipe to the rear with 3" straight pipe - just the same as the gt350R rolls off the production line... No need to dink around with aftermarket exhaust at all....
I regret not buying this same car and color 3 years. The Ford finance lady tried to screw me at 6.5% when I knew I already prequalified for 3.2% with my bank. She laughed at me and said no one is giving out 3.2%. I walked out.
Did they leave the factory heat shield on? I took mine off when I got the Shifteck xpipe installed on my Shelby gt350. Now I’m nervous that I need it on there haha!!! I’ve been driving it for months this way
@@shabirjackson1 no I have a 19 and it’s ford performance blue in 19 and 20. It’s nice but I always liked the lightening blue better! But least it’s the gen 2 motor for 19-20. Still that lightning blue 17-18 is the best blue
2K? 😬 You're getting into LT header money at that point. I did a set of ARH headers with the stock mufflers for about 2.5K with taxes and shipping. I dig the OEM+ route- the car sounds great.

What orginal resonator did you go with? I went with the LTH Resonator (2.75") and it made my GT350 sound identical to the GT350R
I’m not sure if you know, but the stock exhaust on all the GT350’s is “Ford Performance by Borla”!

I didthat back in the day with an 06 miata lol
If the valves closing after startup bugs you, turn the power on without starting first, select your mode and then start it.
I've heard of the before but that doesn't work for me.

Sounds sick man i say go catless longtubes if you want to go even crazier 🔥
Sounds great, I have same color 2017 and recently bought long tubes haven't installed them yet, when I do will be deleting cats & resonators
Nice bro, sounds great!

What shop did you have this done at? I live in ATX and am looking to get the FP exhaust installed on my 350.
Cheers, thanks!

So did you have 2 X pipes then? Round here people usually cut the resonators off then just weld a small piece of pipe in there place.
No just one, it was pretty much just relocated unnecessarily haha
Sounds Great! 🤙🤙😎🐍🐍

I don't think so, I remember I requested they did years ago bit I believe most people run without it.
@@TexasRevving gotcha, thanks for the reply. Glad to hear that. Enjoy the new exhaust man!
Been a while since you’ve done a car wash video!
What blue is that?
Lightning blue
@@TexasRevving is that color available in the 2019 n 2020 model
@@shabirjackson1nope just 2017. Ford performance blue and Kona blue in later model years.
