We offer this musical message of hope, recorded directly from our last rehearsal, with prayers and hopes for a brighter future.
Do Not Be Afraid by Philip Stopford is a musical setting of a text by Gerard Markland.
Markland’s moving text is Biblical in its scope and power; it presents themes of assurance and redemption, despite danger and struggle. Stopford’s straightforward primarily syllabic setting artfully contrasts harmonic tension and resolution, beautifully mirroring the text while offering the kind of solace that can only come from the universal language of music.
