How to Properly Dispose of Old Paint

Ever wonder how to get rid of old paint? You could leave the lid off and wait a couple months, but that's not efficient and could be a hazard. I recommend using a paint hardener to quickly make the paint solid for disposal. If a whole can of normal paint were to be thrown away, imagine the mess it would make as it would leak all over... @Benjamin Hunt, What happens when the frozen paint thaws out? Does it return to a liquid? Then the same problem of how to dispose without it leaking in our environment. I'd be curious to know if it stays solid.

I apologize, I'm not sure if this hardener works on whitewash. I did read a comment somewhere that most of it can go down the drain, but I recommend you verify that.
