No but I have a question: theres this bubble tea store who sells roasted oolong tea with milk and (i think taro and) yams pearls and its my favourite (lol) and do you know how to make these yams pearls at home? Are these made out of ube? If not, then it'll be so embarrassing for me but nvm😭😭😭
Okay, Samosa A Indian Snack made with flour and Delicious stuffing inside them.. So Once she said She was Maing Samosa with Ube you know it kinda Felt Weired😅
You actually have more options there than here in Manila. We don't even have ube jam in our groceries. 😅 But we do have ube-flavored condensed milk in some stores.
Hey Jeanell this another ube recipe by me that you could try bt it doesn't have a name yet ig u can call it fried ube First take fresh/frozen ube and par boil it n then fry it and season it with some salt chilli and lime hope u like it plsss try this out

I just bought some ube extract!! Never ever had it before but I’ve seen so many of your videos I wanted to give something a try!! Would you mind making a video over your favorite ube recipes to use with the extract?
I LOVE ube halaya, it's always my request whenever anyone goes to baguio LOL my second favorite use is when my mom would make ube balls with a cube of cheese inside and add them to ginataang bilobilo. It's sooo good it's one of my ultimate childhood favorite dishes.
Ive just heard of purple yam today and never in my life would i think something would be naturally be this amazing shade of purple would be edible aswell now i really want it
There is a national farm fresh where i live in the US that sell Ube and other international fruits and produce like whole sugar cane reeds and bitter melons
I don't think the market I shop at has the bigger chunks of ube, I've only ever been able to get the puree which I have a bunch in the freezer right now as well as we can get the powder and the extract. I've also bought ube condensed milk before!
Would you please show the brand of UBE EXTRACT that you use? And could you show the ingredient label, and where you happen to find/buy it? I live in New Jersey, so I wud like to know all I can, and at least find something similar. You mentioned yours had dye? And I'm wondering why it needs dye when the one itself is colored purple. Does the extract also give flavor?
Is the powder legit ube? Or is it some artificial funky thing? Just want to know what I’m buying. I’d really like to make some ube desserts for a few co-workers this Christmas.
Any particularly good ube extract recommendations? I’ve hunted around on Amazon but thrown from ordering because of some reviews claiming there was little flavor (which taste is subjective and given current situation no idea if the issue was with their tastebuds or the product)
kind of similar to a typical orange yam in terms of fiber content being higher than a regular potato and better for blood sugar regulation, but because it’s purple (not orange), the plant’s pigment to make it purple is called Anthocyanin, this pigment is what makes other foods red or purple (like blueberries, cherries or cabbage). It has some antioxidant properties.
How many of these have you used? Are there other ways to use Ube that I missed?
Can you grow it here in the US? If so maybe you could try and grow it in your garden.
@@senyagwynn8121it’s an invasive species in the US hence why you can only get it frozen or a ground up product of it here
@@Ava-fc6gl O no! I gotcha!! Thank you for the information!😉
@@senyagwynn8121 of course!

I used ube extract, ube flavored condensed milk and fresh ube for whatever sweet dessert that I feel like craving
Ube halaya is my FAVEEEE literally so versatile, I love spreading it on bread and adding banana and macapuno
You actually have more options there than here in Manila. We don't even have ube jam in our groceries. 😅 But we do have ube-flavored condensed milk in some stores.
True. I actually have never encountered other sources of ube pther than the yam itself or extract.
You should do a series where you try to grow ube! Grow bags could be used so an entire garden setup isn’t needed.
Others have said its an invasive species in the US, so its not possible to do that

in my country, they called it slightly different as "UBI" and we have 2 colors of it, the purple one and the more sweet the yellow one ❤
UBE is native to the Philippines. It is a purple yam. I think you’re referring to the purple and yellow/orange sweet potatoes.
You might be talking about sweet potatoes as Ube is actually a kind of yam
Scrumptious ❤ I’d love to learn how to cook with ube! Thank you for the tips
You should work towards starting a greenhouse that grows plants from your heritage

THANK YOU SO MUCH, I'VE BEEN STRUGGLING TO USE THE UBE POWDER PROPERLY FOR A WHILE NOW
I use powder and extract for baked goods. I love ube so much!
You can get them if you're lucky at a filipino super market. I live in Sac area and also sometimes in some bay area asian stores.

If you where wondering she said ube 14 times😊 lol. I would love to try ube and I love your recipes!
I live in a small town in Pennsylvania and our local grocery tore chain doesn't sell that Ube ice cream, kinda wish they did

if you live in the California, you can get fresh UBE most of the year
Is it possible to get seeds or sprouts to grow Ube? Good way to get it fresh if it’s hard to access normally!
Which one of these ube extracts or pastes doesn’t have food coloring?
I’m growing some!
Great informative video. Is it sweeter then a sweet potato? I havent tried it yet.
You really should try it, first try smth like bread with ube filling, ube Pandesal, or ube ice cream
Hello, where can we buy these?
Did u just say samosa, my patriotism woke just now😂
Good to know 😅
OOOOOOH ADD CHEESE
It gives this tropical vibes
UA-cam’s drunk again “0” comments 😂
Hi Janelle! Where did you buy that storage jar? Like it.🙂🇵🇭
I wonder if you could make boba with ube😋
Enough Ube videos :/
Why am I watching this 3am
Title might be better as "5 Different Ways To Get Ube"
Can you make a ube cake?
Is this like taro?
Where can I buy ube? I am from Singapore and I have checked the wet markets and supermarkets but I still cant find them.
While I might sound sarcastic, a reliable way might be to grow it at home, especially if your climate is good!
We usually make it with the fruit
Ube with samosa it got me thinking that was kind of a bit weird😂😅
Did you just say ube samosa!? That I HAVE to try out
When u say Ube sound kinda funny
How does ube grow
It's a root vegetable, like a potato or carrot
@@eldritchomen Ty for telling me
Thought it said yarn but it seems interesting and I’m still watching
And i don't even know what is Ube but i likes The videos
I get ube at stores near me
Is it taste like potatoes?
STOP SAYING UBE IF I HEAR IT AGAIN IM DROPING DEAD
What does Ube taste like
It's sweet but not too sweet and earthy. Like sweet potatoes.
The only thing is I would buy those guys just to get really purpled food for fun. 😅
Im getting the extract and eating every food I can possibly think of but purple
Why not plant it yourself?
Which is your favorite form of getting Ube besides fresh ?
I wonder if you can just grow it at home....
My mom only use the first one
I’ve had ube before real ube and I live in America
They use ube in usa too? I thought it was only my country! I didnt know that!
Try to count how many times she says “UBE”
Its weird to hear its ube, because in my country its sound ubi (ubee)
it looks good but id probably only eat this bc its purple
People went through all of this to make ube? Me and my lolo would just go to seafood city market and buy it there 😅
Have you tried to grow your own? I know ow it takes time so until they are ready to pick you can continue to use the others versions. 🙏🤟💛
Bro why samosa with ube? Why?
What good does it do us?????? Nutritional wise I mean?
And its delicious

Wait what does ube taste like🤔
How many Ubes are there in this vid?
