Hello! I think I got the 1994 story backyard, it must have been the 1995 one that was meant to lose the streak! :)

Johnny Logan won a third time as the writer of the song "Why Me?" sung by Linda Martin in 1993. Olivia Newton John, who played Sandy in the film Grease sang for Great Britain in 1974 as did Celine Dion for Switzerland and won in 1988 when it was held in Dublin Ireland. A very famous British singer, Cliff Richard, sang in the Eurovision for Great Britain with a song called "Congratulations", which is sung at birthday parties and weddings here in Ireland and in the UK.

The lady who sang for Ireland in 1972 was Sandi Jones, and she did sing in irish. The only time we had a contest who sang in our native language. I was told that I met her as a child on holidays in Wexford Ireland. Don't remember that.

Johnny Logan is an Australian Irish singer. He won Eurovision 3 times the first with the song What's Another Year as a singer, Hold Me Now as a singer songwriter and as a songwriter for Linda Martin when she won with Why Me

Johnny Logan also wrote Terminal Three for Linda Martin. Maxi sang as a solo and then with the group called Sheeba. Rock and Roll kids sung by Paul Harrington and Charlie Mcgettian and The Voice sung by Niamh Quinn was written by the same person Brendan Graham, who wrote the hit 'You raise me up' for the irish group Westlife which was also a hit for Josh Groban. Sandi Jones was singing in irish.

Johnny Logan was last year in germany in the show ZDF Fernsehgarten (a show every Sunday with music, games...). He is still as good as he was back then!

The 2000s honestly weren't that bad, on average about 40 countries usually were competing. Getting a top 15 finish is actually pretty decent. I think Ireland were hard done by some of the years in the 2010s however.
