- I'm excited to be back on Diablo 2 Resurrected after skipping Season 4 to try out Diablo 4. I will be playing this Druid build based on the recent poll I did on the channel. Being that I haven't yet played a Druid in D2R this will be a fun change from the normal Sorceress or Frenzy Barb I've played previously.
If you are playing D2R, which class/build will you start with???

Not sure I'll be on the new season, single player has a bit more appeal now to me. But I will be starting a new character. Javazon hybrid with either exploding arrow for light immunes or Frozen arrow. at least until I get a Sunder charm, then rerolling to pure javazon.

Yeah myself and everyone I know who bought it ($100 version) stopped playing rather quickly. I turn it off after a couple mins and go back to d2r
@@jkfsh9582 i got the $100 as well. Im going to give the game a couple years and come back.. maybe it will be balanced and have an endgame by then.

same! played D4 for a couple weeks and it only made me miss D2R. I'm having a lot of fun with some crazy hybrid off-meta builds

Damage is gonna be hardest part late game with wind druid. Gonna need a lot of extra skill points. Think I'm gonna go full conviction pally with FOH to be a support dmg.

i did play myself some s4 with a trapsin but nothing crazy, was focusing on diablo 4 also, before my VGA died :D
anyway excited for s6, just hope i can schedule my ass out of work days for when it actually hits! :D

As a hardcore player, I feel most comfortable starting as a Paladin, auras and paladin shields give so much survivability. But I might decide to do something completely different for a change. Wind druid does have a lot of survivability as well.
Sounds fun. I may try an Auradin on my new singleplayer playthrough. Yeah I've never played Wind Druid before so we'll see how it goes.
Wind druid is so slooow in gameplay. Mostly on start without aby gear. Its a struggly too play him.
@@belivax2095 yes, I agree. In all honesty anything is slow when compared to a sorceress though, until you have an enigma.
But this partly why I love hardcore, it levels the playing field a bit.
I've started ladder seasons with a sorceress only to see it end with me teleporting straight into a mob and dying. That's why I prefer to start save, build up my gear.
Wind druid is great at safely destroying mobs, but terrible at killing bosses. I always do Eldritch/Shenk and Pindle runs with winddruid.

Mephisto with blizzard sorc
Necro is pretty safe for HC too. Just make sure you have maxed resists and summons plus bone armor take care of the rest in terms of oncoming damage.
Trasin imo od great. She is so tanky and traps have big range. At no hardcore i play trapsin full mf build and i dont die. And u have corps explode for no gear big dmg.
Always started the ladder with a necro but I still why everyone starts with a sorc. I will start with a sorc too this time, just so I can get mid runes more quickly from hell countess, and once I have some decent necro gear, I'll make my main necro.
Nice. Yeah that teleport and static is a huge advantage over all other classes when starting out. Good luck!
Start with poison creeper for the first 20 levels or so. You can solo A1 easily and fast. After that respec.
Tried that in single player, set players/8 ran out and just walked straight through, was lvl 19 when i reached act 2, lol by just doing the quests. it crushes act 2 aswell, so easy respec after that.

Hey Indi . Im really excited for the news for s5.I also will be starting Druid but it will be Summon. Want to try it out.I don't like playing meta Characters and Builds.
Nice. Yeah I don't blame you, it gets boring playing the same build/character every season. I made a solo summoner druid back in October 2021 and while it was fun, it was definitely much more difficult than those meta builds especially against baal from what I remember. I made a few videos on my experience if you want to check them out before S5 starts. Good luck!!

I'll be starting as a BO barb and later respec to grief MF barb for Trav. I also tried D4 and it just didn't click with me.

Yes Fire will likely be more difficult especially A4. However, you can always respec to Wind if Fire is not working for you.
Druid is the easiest buddy. You can just go pure poison to clear normal or pure fire caster to clear normal. You could do summons to.
That's true. Normal shouldn't be too difficult with any build since no immunities. Overall just slower than Sorc due to no tele.

@@IndieProgressPlaysDiablo nice I’ve done only 1-2 trades ever on it and it was just much quicker on traderie.
However the sub culture and main culture of d2 and history is spread out through JSP so it’s always valuable to me

I had fun with D4 but hit the wall of no new content and nothing to really do. D2 better come out with a lot otherwise ill pass again, been playing it for over 20 years, i got my moneys worth from D2 and D2R. Best arpg ever but im simply tired of it unless a lot more reasonable content is added.
Yup completely agree. I haven't seen any new features yet being added for Season 5. So people suggested I try a singleplayer campaign for D2R as it's a lot more rewarding than Ladder obtaining everything without trading. Just reached lvl 20 and having fun so far!
can't believe they will be starting new seasons for D3, D2R and D4 all within a few weeks of each other. Can Blizzard get anymore stupid? PS. I will be playing D3 Season 29 for a few weeks and then jump into S5 of D2R; I won't be going to D4.

@@IndieProgressPlaysDiablo I always start with a Pali but I am thinking Summon Necro, they are slower but I like the corpse explosion play style. Also, easy to gear for.

The only horrible place is the Maggot Lair in Hell which you should just Teleport through to get it done :D

I found the prices fluctuate depending on the Season and how many people are crafting Caster Amulets vs. Bloodcrafts.

D4 was the biggest slog... Can't believe i played 600 hours of it. ew
Honestly I had fun in the early game and played a decent number of hours myself, but being there was no end game the replay ability wasn't there for me.
They should remove softcore from D2R. Cant believe ppl still dying on 20+ y/o game.
Not everyone is a Pro player as you are. And just a single crash on the game terminal or accidentally teleporting to fanatic deathlords or conviction infector can pop your character .
Honestly this would kill most of the D2 playerbase being that 85% who play SC vs. 15% who play HC.
Yeah I agree. It's just not worth the risk and D2 is even more forgiving than a game like classic wow. I can't see HC Wow Classic lasting long term.
