    Nice one Dan. We've had our Fiesta ST since 40,000 and rolled onto 140,000 miles now and it's been a pleasure to own. Apart from brakes, discs , tyres and servicing nothing else needed. It still pulls well and no smoke. The most recent expense was a pair of new headlights as the original ones were well past cleaning. Easy to do as well Love your videos, short sharp and to the point. Thank you and keep up the good work.

      Thanks Phillip! To be fair to the car I give it some stick for being an old piece of **** however I cant really fault it too much. This is on 153K miles and only requiring the normal stuff that any car of this age is going to need really. The engine is lower mileage than the chasis as its been replaced before I bought it but still its a pleasure to own.
      Thanks for the compliment on the vids it means a lot and glad you enjoy them. Wont be to everyones taste but this is youtube after all lol

    I noticed that the rocker cover on my st150 was quite sweaty. I gave the outside a good clean but I'm pretty sure it is indeed a bad valve cover gasket. Might go on and replace that soon :)

    Hi mate, recently got myself an. St150, i have the same issue as yourself. Will be buying the gaskets and spark plugs you reccomend, one question did you get new head bolts or did you reuse the ones you removed? Only ask as someone said i would need new head bolts as they stretch or something. Loving the channel and videos, not a mechanic by any means but i enjoy learning and will give anything a diy go. Thanks for uploading.

      Hello mate, welcome along for the journey!! You won’t need head bolts unless you are planning on taking the head off. Rocker cover bolts are fine and won’t stretch :)

      @@DJLloydy Oh it's definitely a journey lol. Done a few small DIY jobs already, but once you start, something else crops up, definitely a learning curve but your videos definitely help out. Will do the gasket this weekend, thanks for the reply.

    Did you say the engine only has 40000 miles on it, so did it have an engine swap?

    • @DJLloydy
      @DJLloydy  3 роки тому

      Yes only 40K on the new engine although i reckon a few more than that lol

    My 150 keeps blowing spark plugs in thinking this is my problem too.

      Potentially this is causing your issue yes but mine where covered in oil after I removed them as was built up in the wells :(

      @@DJLloydy Did mine today, spark plug 1 was covered in oil. There was some oil down in the plug well. Hopefully this will resolve the issue I'm having. Pain in the arse ha. Thanks for the video, had to check it out a couple of times.

    Mines got a dodgy idle and burning oil. Gutted.

      Sorry for the late reply! I think these cars burn oil for fun anyway so don't worry too much or is yours excessive?
