Ahhhhhh a love letter to NY. A wonderful city I have had the pleasure to sing in, to visit, to watch Opera and do Broadway. Never a dull moment and so full of hope and wonder.....and who can forget Angels in America ( my favourite play) . And now I can't stop singing Suddenly Seymour ❤
Wonderful tag and wonderful city. Funny you should say that after 10 years of living in NY you barely scratched the surface of it. I’ve been there so many times throughout my life and I still feel that I don’t know the city. I keep wanting to visit it by myself (secretly so I don’t have to visit family 😉) I don’t know, maybe someday… My favorite book set in NYC is The Bonfire of the Vanities by Tom Wolfe. And my favorite movie probably would be When Harry Met Sally. Again, great tag!
Happy New York Anniversary ! Even though I no long work/live there, I still feel connected to the City. I was working in Chelsea on 9/ll. Our office had floor-to-ceiling windows that looked out directly at the Twin Towers. So we had a terrifying close-up of the entire disaster. We were all screaming and then sobbing when the buildings finally collapsed. Oddly enough, I think living through this traumatic experience strengthened my bond with the City. I may not have been born in New York, but that day I became a New Yorker.
What an interesting tag. I love New York and Tori Amos but wow, what a memory. Her songs have marked some incredible moments in my life as well. It's fairly mundane but just having a vegan croissant and coffee in the morning at Domino Park looking at the skyline does a lot for me.
I love these questions and might just have to do this one! Your clips of NY make it look so wonderful and not dirty and noisy and at all. My experience in New York years ago was interesting, but you'll have to wait until I do the tag to hear all about it!
Loved this! Great answers, and getting to see the city from your perspective was really nice. You seem like the kind of person to take advantage of living in a city like New York (yes yes there is no other city like New York) and I really admire that. So easy to take things for granted when they are close to home. Great video!

Love the footage of New York in your videos! My husband and I visited NYC a couple of summers ago when I was 7 months pregnant 😳 lemme tell ya, my feet were killing me! But we walked all over the city and saw like 4 Broadway shows. It was the best time!

I've never been to New York, not sure how I'd get on with it as I find big cities very stressful, but I do find myself drawn to the idea of visiting some day, if only to take in the art and theatre! @@mildrumpus I'll could tie in a visit when I eventually get over to visit some of the National Parks! A few crazy days in the city followed by a spell in the wilderness chilling the hell out is probably the best way for me to enjoy it! 😂
We went to New York last summer and caught a show (Parade). Hope to see The Great Gatsby maybe in August. We love to take the overnight train. So cheap from DC/Baltimore!
