Impressive cooperation between emergency services during evacuation exercise LIVEX 2024

LIVEX 2024 is over! 🌊 We are proud of all participants who worked hard today on this major evacuation exercise. The Coast Guard and other emergency
services have brought more than 500 people to safety. 💪 The scenario started with an emergency call from the captain of the DFDS ferry 'Princess Seaways' to the Coast Guard Center. This was followed by an impressive cooperation between various emergency services.
The Coast Guard led the rescue operation on the water. The Safety Region Kennemerland set up a large location to accommodate the evacuees. Several ships, rescue boats, helicopters, the coast guard aircraft, ambulances, (emergency) vehicles, control rooms and crisis teams were deployed.
