- “MEAN TOWN BLUES”
WITH EDGAR WINTER, JOE BONAMASSA,
SEAN HURLEY AND GREGG BISSONETTE
Edgar Winter and Quarto Valley Records releases “Mean Town Blues”, the 2nd single off the upcoming Brother Johnny, an all-star tribute to Johnny Winter organized by his brother Edgar Winter. Sharing this song so close to what would have been Johnny’s 78th birthday on February 23 is fitting as “Mean Town Blues” highlights the truest version of his early blues writing and unique slide guitar style.
Congratulations on your well deserved Grammy. This album is amazing.
Seeing Johnny Winter And band at Madison Square Garden in early 1970's was great. Johnny climbing on the sound system scaffold was fantastic. Rick Derringer & Johnny sharing leads throughout the night had everyone on their feet & the energy in the crowd made it 1 of the best shows I ever seen & I seen a lot of bands. Derringer is also a great player who tour with Ringo Starr a few years ago & his newer blues album he released is good too. If you haven't heard Darringer's newer albums you should give it a listen it's all great blues.
Joe Bonamassa is amazing on guitar on this track! Johnny is smiling down from Blue Heaven!
I love you man, and though I miss Johnny, I'm sure no body misses him more than the Creator of the universe and you. Thank you for all of the years of joy that have brought to my life and to years of others. joe.
Johnny would be proud of this great album and its one of the best in 2022. Best memory in the dozen times of seeing him was with Muddy and James on tour in the seventies. Alive and well forever.
This from Edgar Winter now is what the doctor ordered, general and specific

EDGAR... Thanks for the MUSIC! Joe B absolutely nails it, the band slays it and you are timeless ! A fitting tribute to your older brother and Johnny is grinning from ear to ear!
Miss Johnny, he was nice enough to visit Norway several times, and yeah there is a Firebird standing looking at me, more or less in regards. It hasn't been played much though :(
Go Edgar
Not going to get any better than this! The only thing missing was Johnny's growl of 'YEAHHHH!"

Oh , it is a mean old town for a legally blind young man to live by himself. People would be taking advantage of his good nature Johnny’s parents were looking out for his best interest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥💕💕💕
what does it mean "mean town" ?
@@jacobaci mean people make up a mean town. Mean people would try and take advantage of the blindness and kindness Johnny possess.
No relatio to either boy? Always thought the world of both but real real proud of Edgar Winter for this
