Earl i can’t tell you how much i appreciate all the XMaxx content you provide…. I’ve avoided products that i probably would have bought & just out of the gate had my suspension set up perfectly. Thank you so much for your time, $$$ & hard work!
20/50 gear set on stock tires my Xmaxx does 47. I agree the gear set definitely sets the "snap" of the rig in the air. Wheel speed is only half the equation. It's also important how that power hits the wheels. Good stuff Eman cheers
@@earlmoorhead5555 I'm going to have to break down & get some new wheels &tires I'm thinking "stock" belted SH. Mainly be use they are easily accessible from the local hobby shop
@RoostedFilms belted sled hammer work great just need to keep an eye on the glue just like any glued tire that why I like the JConcepts tires there bead locks and don’t get loose
I think that gearing is perfect... Like it won't be that hot at the bmx track, your usually at quarter to half throttle up their. A lot of high speed then heavy braking there and on the grass, so I think that's the hardest shell be run and it's ok with it. ❤
I agree higher gearing feels way better. But with Temps in the summer and I hate motor fans. Any kinda fan for that matter. Gc fan on my esc's that it. They break to often. I did start putting gimble mount silicone absorbers under the fan it helps.
Have you listened to the tires landing on the concrete in slow-mo? Sounds bad ass. There it is again! Yeah several times. But when you land on all fours in slow-mo… it’s like a fake sound effect… I know it’s not . Just check it out
@@earlmoorhead5555 😂 that's a better answer than last time ! Thanks brother lots of us appreciate all the testing, hard work & money spent to get it done. I remember watchin 2years ago saying "ima get me an Xmaxx" it's in my top 3RC already. Thanks to you I finally grabbed one.
Earl my losi DBpro gets hot as balls even in mild Ohio summers…. Would a bigger motor help? Or would a better ESC help more than a motor? Even a dual fan setup didn’t get it cool enough to run on grass in the summer… doesn’t cut off or anything but it gets HOT
My DBPro motor gets hot too. ESC is fine though. I think it could really use a bigger motor. If you already have a heatsink and a couple fans on it that is about as good a workaround for that motor assuming you dont want to try gearing down...though I like the speed I get out of the stock gearing. I dont run mine in grass just in loose dirt but still getting up to 165 maybe even 170 on a hot day with no fans and heatsink. Pretty much what I would consider max operating temp as I'll stop running if it approaches 180F. I did put a big heatsink on it recently and that alone below 150F...possible even 140F cant remember exactly but it was good enough for me.
@@barbedwirerat661yea I just don’t have much around me outside of grass or asphalt/concrete! Would using a 4s motor with a bigger can help if I just run on 3S? Don’t really need any more speed but I’d like to be able to use what speed I have without crazy temps! 😁
Is it just super hot by touch or do you have a temp gun to confirm? Fans might be keeping it below critical temperatures. But yes if the motor were to fail due to overheating I would replace it with a larger can...not sure how large you can go in length and diameter though...I havent had to look into it yet.

Love those tires! Going to get a set for my Outcast 8s & try them out on my DBXL-E too
Xmaxx was ROCK AND ROLLING for sure
Could even say it was ultimately good 🤪
You should put the stock tires back on and just see how many more mph you get with the ballooning effect of the stock tires 😎
XMaxx is your favorite truck right? It is nice to try out an upgrade and have it work out well...makes a favorite RC even better!
Yes the xmaxx big rock 6s and outcast 8s my top three rc cars but the xmaxx I use the most out of 120rc cars
XMaxx looking real smooth out there👍
The tires sound cool 😎 and work great 👍
Wow! Such a smooth ride. Sounds so nice. Great job Earl. 🏁🏁
Sounds like it had more, I think it will hit 50 plus no problem....give it a shot 💯
It does just ran out of room
Thanks! Great video brother that tire noise is pretty cool wicked sound

Yes and not blowing tires off like the stock ones are saving me money now even with more wheels speed 💯

Running 22/50 right now in the xmaxx. Def made a huge difference than stock gearing. Thanks for the vids!
Awesome run and thank you for letting us know so much information and exc ..I enjoy watching your Videos 💨💨🔋🔥💯👌🏽

So I bought these tires based off your recommendation on my Wide Xmaxx... I love this set up
Nice
Can you post a link?
An RC that big, 50 is all I want to go too. Your gearing seems good to me.
Lookin sweet dude I like that combo 💯

Awesome video I might have to try this on my xmaxx
Heat climbing a little, but no issues if monitoring. Overall works.👍
Cool Xmaxx 💯 video today all way good see Xmaxx 💯 run Earl 💪🙂
Thanks for the video.
Great vid! Do you think that would be good gearing for an Xmaxx with the Widemaxx kit and stock tires?

Yes I hear it while editing 👀😮
Well I just started watching, but it seems like it's ripping pretty good about the time you run out of real estate.
I still think you should get yourself a small plastic 1080 skate ramp to jump back into the field from the curb.
I got enough stuff in my wagon 😮🤣

Do you prefer the Jconcepts over the Badlands?
Yes they have way more grip 👍💯
That looks like Daytona taking it on that banked corner 🤣🤣. Looks too be geared well
I wander how that gearing would work on the sledge
👍
😎💯💯💯
Sounds like ATV 😂🔥

Lower kv on the motor helps so if your at 3600kv go to 3200kv less rpm will pull more weight for the rc and a bigger can size does help

What's the pin configuration for 20 44?
18/46 pins

What is the purpose of not running a wheelie bar?. That makes absolutely no sense. ?
When jumping the wheelie bar hits and causes crashes
Are you using a 46t spur ? Also what are your feelings about the J Concepts ?
Both these questions are answered in the video even in the title🤔
