Great video bro. Just one tip. Cut out the part when you where waiting for the road to be clear. Or clip that part and increase the speed to 800% for a time lapse.

What an acomplishment! Crazy how strong that esc is. I Will switch out my xlx to xlx2 in my wr attempt car next summer, should be a rocket since the car will only be about 4000 grams fully loaded with 8s lipo.

Yessir, he’s running 16s though. This is the current 8s record. Truck has a lot more in it, just need to get clean runs. It’s getting extremely tough.

Yeah that’s why there’s time stamps in the description. It’s for a speedrun challenge and one of the first rules is no video editing.

It’s not a highway! It’s just a big wide road next to the Amazon facility! This was the busiest I’ve seen it! Usually it’s just a few cars every once and awhile! I definitely wouldn’t run on a busy highway!

wassup bro giving you some challange i got my xmaxx set up for speed run but i cant seems to find good mount i think the mount i got makes the motor sit uneven and gear gets chewed up anyways you link dosent work to the mount any other options?
WFO, PNW, M2c are the only mounts I’d run

3-you make 0 sense on the battery talk so I’ll just tell you, running 2p with these batteries is essential. Two packs would only get you so far with the extra load this truck produces. Need those extra Ah when it’s under full load which is around 600a which an xlx2 will pull. Helps decrease the voltage sag with extra Ah.
If you’re not jealous or ignorant than you have some anger issues or something else going on.. especially if this video offends you in any way enough to complain in the comment section that I am not running my stuff the way you would.
This vid is like 3 years old and still is the 8s record for the xmaxx..

Just saying, you are using a fake castle..
I put a kitchen cabinet door in front to make it aerodynamic, I had to remove the front and middle, so it would use 2 tires.
I put the front tires on the ESC mount so it could handle dirt roads.
Afterward, I changed the oil and it was back to being boring normal..

Not exactly the fastest… a guy in wfos group, i wont say the name but a guy got I believe 126-127mph. Still an amazing run tho!
It is actually the fastest xmaxx on 8s. Jason runs 16s to hit 126mph.

U are correct I have the fastest. We both running 16 cells, same power output just wired differently for more capacity or more voltage.. either way good job Connor.
@@KiloWattRC same power output huh? Lol. 8s vs 16s is very different power output. I could have a million 2s packs wired in parallel and it's still only 2s. Now wire those same packs in series...

Here's a question - is there a reason why speedrunners don't use FPV rigs for runs? You could make sure you're lined up properly, control the vehicle mid-run (especially at these high speeds), and I can't really see any negatives, to be honest. The cameras are pretty small, enough to fit inside of the body (assuming the window is left clear) so it wouldn't effect weight or aerodynamics. Something I've always wondered.
It’s a great idea for sure! I just don’t think that high speed cars are smooth enough for the fpv feed to be clear as you’d think. These cars produce a ton of vibrations that I could see causing issues in quality! Might be worth a shot though!

Friendly tip. 1 being ..I HOPE ..You do realize your ruining your receiver and transmitter by using a 5.8ghz antenna 📡 instead of a 2.4 ghz antenna unless that's for video 📹 vtx connecting which it's not it doesn't look like so. and 2 being that also that front downward diffuser is robbing of speed like a mother and 3 your shits way too stiff if you wanna get the right kind of controllable assembled setup for what you doing...
Thanks for watching! Yes I’m aware about the antenna. This was the only runs that I used the 5.8ghz antenna, was just testing to see if it improved response at distance or range, didn’t affect anything on these runs so will be switching back to the old setup. Also I gained a couple mph by putting on the front end and making changes to the aero, so it is working! Suspension is working good so far, pretty controllable for more than double the stock speed🤷♂️
