Rust is such a beautiful thing in itself. There's so many variations on the environment materials and the rust prevention. There's so much beauty hidden in it. I've rusted stuff that are full scale to HO. From acrylics to real to digital. The importance of paint definitely goes up as you get smaller. The most important thing is layers. That's what truly brings rust to life.
Small price saving tip, Raw sienna is one of my favorite colors to rust if you're grabbing generic acrylic paint rather than rust specific hoby paint. Mix it with a bit of isopropyl alcohol to thin it works great. I get the full opac scare one to get the most range.

Howdy! Great stuff here. Perfect intro level how-to vid for newbies like me. Also nice to see some techniques that don't involve air brushing. Nicely done and thanks for sharing 🤠

I sure will - they're also in my Amazon store. But I think my next vid will be something of the like of "Things YOU NEED as a model railroader" "Essential..." blah, blah, blah something like that. lol

Love your ideas and your explanations. Thanks man, now I've got some more ideas to step up my game! I don't know why but I find weathering difficult sometimes, especially Freight cars. Box cars, Hoppers, And especially tankers. I haven't checked the rest of your channel fairly new to it, But if you could whether a Tanker if and when you get a chance, I would love to see the process. I don't even know if you're gonna read this or not, but I can't be the only one that has issues with especially tankers. We Don't see very much graffiti where I live, so I'm not too worried about mastering that, Especially in my era. Some of this I can use on tankers but I still tend to make one hell of a mess! LMAO. I might as well Put oil pain't on water, dunk it And hope for the best! Hey! That's something I might try just for sh,!s and giggles!😅

My second comment- DIRT! There is ALWAYS Dirt, Rust, Oil, Grime... Probably probably all sorts of bio hazards. And I wouldn't be surprised if there was nuclear waste down there! Glad you didn't climb it, Might have been your last episode😂
