I'd love to see these sorts of events happen more often. If eth weapons could be gambled we might see more gg rares, I'd build a gf barb if that were the case. Sick rare eth weapons are probably my ultimate chase item after 20 years and seeing everything else.

Even gg they have,barring rare exceptions like assasin claws and sometimes war axes ,next to no value except to duelists who play "no grief" as a rule,as in most instances grief is still the better weapon. Theoretically however rares can be among the very highest damage weapons in the game,especially if you're talking war pikes and thundermauls. Rolling the right mods however is extraordinarily rare , and even the best examples one sees online usually still have a wasted roll or two. I think if such items could be at least possible to roll at a vendor,the value might actually go up,as now the likelyhood is so rare the market basically doesnt exist. The items pretty much have to be eth, cruel, fools, self rep and socketed, or they're trash. Without eth, nobody will ever gamble weapons from vendors, except perhaps to gear up new chars. Google gg rare fanged knife, gg rare thunder maul, and you'll see the kinda weapons I've always dreamed about,and start to get an idea of how hard they are to come by.

Neat event. Bring it back every now and again, and have similar fun events if they can think of any. Honestly, this is the right direction to take a game like this. Maybe also reduce gambling prices on ladder and single player to make them more accessible, but I'm not firm on that one since it could have impacts on trading market, but at the same time... it *does* still take quite a bit of monotonous grinding to do, especially if it's just a bit of a reduced price.
I found the following Coronet. 2 to amazon skills, 30% faster run, 20% faster cast, 48% cold resist, 15% fire resist, 15% lit resist, 15% poison resist, magic damage reduced by 3.

What was the gold farming answer? I didn’t get to play, so I didnt get to see the various prices. I would guess that you could break even gambling amulets. 63k x 0.5= 31.5k x (gheeds + edge) = 22k Someone said they sold runes then rebought.
@@chrisp2272 the quality of your gheeds and an edge bow could change the exact amounts but the closest to a 35k sell value (roughly 15k purchase) you could get the better. You just sold it and bought it back and forth. I ended up doing just a single armor because clicking back and forth went faster than selling a few then buying a few.
Gotcha. Feels like a well geared Trav gold finder would have been fast enough to give a starting bankroll that was roughly enough to be time efficient.

I had a perm armagendon fletch sorcy ammy and a PERM Slippers ammy for pally. I also had an ZOD bugged eth shako. I also had Godly GODLY LLD gear. Rune Dart bow you name it. I had the top walk smite PVP forever. Everything was lost long ago when my pc died and my accounts expired before I could get a new one. I had perfect everything 1 45s with 3 20 20.
I found plenty of good circlets, but one that stood out - not necessarily as good and valuable, but as different, was a circlet with 99 to life and 133 to many. I don’t think I’ve seen such high numbers before. Sold it though. Was I wrong to do so? Contrary to shako, those stats will double with BO.

People usually are missing the two socket portion to make the item over the top, but that wasn’t my issue. I was getting rare helmets with to do all skills to open sockets some resist some strength and then missing the damn cast rate! 🤦🏻♂️… so the best I was able to do was a magic helmet 3 two sorcerer skills in 20% cast rate… and of course this event came on a Friday, which in my area of business is the busiest so I was only able to take advantage of this for about three hours at the event
I think this was just a failure on devs part and repeating it intentionally would be a dumb way to "make gg items more available" as it doesn't involve playing the game and favors people that can simply be online during that time. Instead I would simply add a quest into the game that let's you reroll 1 affix OF YOUR CHOICE on a given item. That way people could complete this quest and have a shot at upgrading their existing circlet/ring/amulets. It would 1) involve playing the game 2) not require you to click 12 million times 3) repeatable at the time of your choosing 4) wouldn't flood the market 5) add planning and strategy to the equation so you actually have to think what to reroll with your limited quest reward- while still making gg items more available.
I've still got 10 characters worth of good tiaras to sort through one day when I find the serotonin lol. Kind of funny thinking back to as a kid all I wanted to find were some really cool and good Diadems/Tiaras and now I've got more than I can count.

Made a thread basically saying it was the best thing ever and they need to bring it back on bnet forums. Gambled a circlet i needed for HCPK that nobody ever has/picks up. Circlets don't sell well on hardcore(People don't really pay for godly stuff) so gambled what i needed and got to force it during the event, something i'd be gambling for a month to get otherwise
they need more days like this for the 25 nights of terror, id say 5 days out of the 25. its so exciting seeing what could possibly be the most gg circlet.

i feel like D2jsp is breaking the game economy. like... these item are not actually worth that much but people (that have way to much fg) are ready to pay that much for it. and the fact that we know that some people creates secondary account to bid on their own items, just to push people to bid higher and expand the value of their item is just making it worst. i wish people played for fun instead of profit.

My question seriously would be, why would 30%ed be even good, it's just 30%. If i look at my barb, with 200 str, like 100% from sword mastery, 400 on phoenix, 300 on fortitude and like 900% from berserk. That plus the base number of damage means i deal 2000% damage, why would that measly 30 be anything.
Obviously it was broken but for 24 hours a year it was fantastic. I really hope they bring it back next year.
