It’s sad how few of these WWII aircraft exist today. Beautiful plane.
Couldn't agree more! It's insane how little are left...😢
Man that's my favorite airplane of all time. Sound of those rr and merlin engines as they come by wide open is freaking awsome.
What a great plane.
The plane is on display at the palm Springs Air museum you can buy flights in it or just sit and admire as I do frequently.
Flew the T6 with this gentleman last year! PS air musuem is great
Great plane there now
Jimmy could have bought a tenth ownership interest in a P51, with the $$$ he spent on Elvis’ Jetstar🤪
Awesome 😎
The best generation
Fun day 😊
Waiting for the next upload! 👍
The place also has a b-17 and a dc-10 I believe. Great museum
My Grandfather built Packard Merlins during WWII.
My pops flew in the same plane. Dream of his to fly in a P51
This would be a dream come true....When my ship comes into the airport, I will own one.
All it takes is money !! And lots of it.
I remember that name. Legendary Tuskegee Airman. He had to ditch over Italy and thankfully landed on the property of a family that opposed Mussolini.
They had drop tanks. Two 110 gallons.
Actually a Packard Merlin
184 g of avgas that give you around 2.5 hours flying which seems inadequate for what they did in the war. Geez
That is NOT a real P51. They were never 2 seaters !!
