I heard someone else say the making fluid blobbed out. It was a great looking butterfly. Non- symmetrical is more natural and I, personally, like it that way. I believe it adds to the art 🤩❤️ Great breakdown and art!!

I wish bud bothered to read the bottle or mag before I used the masking fluid because I am allergic to latest and now my finger tips are sore 🤣
Something I go when I need symmetry is to get a sheet of tracing paper, fold in half, draw one half along the folded line the. You can turn the while folded sheet over and trace what you already drew… when you open it page up you have a full symmetrical drawing you can then transfer to the page!

Hullo Emily, I think you did a wonderful butterfly 🦋! I have used many different brands of watercolor pencils and the Albrecht Durer’s are just the best and boy they do cost! I do have the complete set of the regular sized pencils, but I discovered that the Magnus series is a very good collection of the same colors from the huge set and just as good! I have even started to like them more! I often find myself buying the complete set of art supplies and the Magnus pencils are a smaller selection, but still offer a wide range for creating art! They are much easier to get the whole set too! I have a 24 set and then FC released 6 more colors from their 120 or 150 sets? So now I have 30 Magnus big watercolor pencils! I Will say that my most uused watercolor pencils are the Koh I noor brand, I got them when I was 12 years old and thought they were the only brand of watercolor pencils made since they were the only brand my local hobby store carried. They still work great, still available for replacement and I like them very much. They are especially good for adding extra fine details to that watercolor painting and adding signatures too! I do enjoy watching your videos Emily, thanks for continuing to share your wonderful creations with everyone. Please take care and enjoy your afternoon or evening as the case may be!

When you blend watercolor pencils, blend from light to dark so can preserve the lighter color.

These look fun, butterflies are too hard for me, if I have to draw them, I do one wing, then put them at an angle haha. I love your videos

Hey Emily was cool how you just drew that butterfly, takes me ages. I will also be using a liner pen, needs must. We got 3 of those pencils a few years back, the artwork was also a butterfly. I bought several of the boxes in a sale, coz they are so expensive to buy in a set. That masking fluid made me high after I inhaled.
I wished I’d of drawn it a little more symmetrical haha 😂 and yeah it definitely needed a liner! I think it said in the zine that the artist used more supplies for the featured artwork!

I was very excited by the box this month. My masking fluid is a bubbly mess but i will work it out. No clue what im going to do though.

@@EmilyArts I have been told that using a dip pen (metal) works best with the fluid! I may try that.
That looks like a really cool set! It's a shame the red isn't cooler though (I might just be biased and love pink 😂)
