Wire Wrap Herringbone Earrings Tutorial - Beginner DIY jewellery making

- Hi everyone - today, I'm going to show you how to make these beautiful herringbone wire wrap bead earrings. I'll take you step by step through the process, in depth, how to make your first earring... and then I'll make another without talking, so you can follow along without listening to me gabble on :D
These little beauties are so versatile, and as you'll see, you can make them with so many different beads, including rounds, ovals, coin beads etc. Stay tuned for the tutorial on the longer elongated design. That's coming soon!
Supplies you'll need for today's tute, are:
2 x 8mm beads (or 6mm if you only have them)
1mm (18g) copper wire, dead soft
0.6mm or 0.5mm (22g or 24g) copper wire, dead soft
Flush cutters
Chain nose pliers
Round nose or 6-step bail making pliers
Ruler
Bench block and chasing hammer
Hope you enjoy making these. As described in the video, I am in no way an expert in either hammering techniques or, indeed, copper work in general. I just want to share the joy of making with you all, and try to explain in beginners terms each part of the process. Copper wire is an organic material and as such, will play the game when it wants to, and give you a headache when it doesn't... LOL. Remember! It's all about the journey... having fun and producing something you've made with your own hands. Something to treasure and gift.
Lots of creative love

That’s so very kind of you, thank you so much. You’re always such a wonderful support. Putting oneself out there on the internet can be a daunting experience, but it’s nice to know there are those out there who are so supportive 🥰

Beautiful!!! You have a lovely teaching style, very clear and straightforward, makes me feel I can do this as a beginner.
Oh that makes me very happy. The whole philosophy of my channel is make it easier for the beginner to make beautiful things, so this makes me so happy, thank you ☺️
Just made these with a super seven 8 mm stone in the copper. I love them!
Oh they sound beautiful 😍 I’m so happy you love them
Awsome handy work love it
Thank you so much ☺️
This design would really showcase those beloved single beads we all have in our stash that are hard to find a use for, but we cannot bear to part with. TFS!
Absolutely! We all have those precious beads, don’t we 😍
Another great video and beautiful earrings! Thank you!
So very welcome, Colleen. Thank you for your support ☺️

You’re so welcome!!! Thank you for your support 😍
Great tutorial, and I'd love to see one for that ring! 😊
Noted! I’ll do one very soon ☺️
Thx for this tutorial....I've never seen the herringbone done this way...I think I'll have better odds with this method. 😂
Thank you so much ☺️
Cute Earrings
Thank you so much ☺️
Very nice! This is probably the most detailed tutorial I've seen. I've done herringbone wrapped beads onto memory wire as my core wire, with copper or silver spacer beads between.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations. 😀
Oh that sounds beautiful, Kelly ☺️ and thank you so much ☺️
I agree with j9, plus I've never seen this wrap done with coin beads which I have a lot of so I'm eager for that tutorial.
Thank you 😊 I’ll do the coin bead tutorial soon ☺️
We may have jewelry supply companies but y'all have the better fabric stores lol I dabble with both so just depends I guess. Love your channel btw ❣️👋👏👏👏👏👏
We do make some beautiful fabrics, for sure 😍 And thank you so much… I’m so pleased you’re enjoying the videos ☺️
Are you going to do the tutorial on the multi stone seed bead long one? Loved that style in the beginning of this tutorial you mentioned you were going to do a tutorial on that style but I don’t see one on your page
Hi there ☺️ Yes I’ll do a tutorial on that soon! 😍
That would be awesome if you can thank you I just think it’s so different & cute!
Please do they are gorgeous ❤😊@@samanthalatimer1
Hii can I use brass wire for making these beautiful herrings …please do reply me ❤
Hello, yes I would say you can use brass wire, but as it’s much harder to work with, I’d suggest coming down a gauge to ensure you can bend it well. Brass wire is much harder than copper, so it will be a little harder to work with, but it will look lovely 🥰
How many marriages you’ve had! Lolololololol
😆😍😆😍
Hate the hand waving... just show what the project is please.
Thank you for your comment. The thumbnail shows what the project is, and I’m sorry my nerves get the better of me sometimes, hence a little movement in my hands
