I watched your tutorial because I had to relearn how to make these. I appreciated the time you took to go through all the steps. Your links are spaced further apart than the ones I made in the past. To shorten the length between spirals, just shorten the loop that the links fit through so its not sticking out so far. you might have to unbend the links slightly in order to fit them together but then you squish them down just like you've done and they look great. I use 6 inches of wire per link and fit 26 spiral links on a 7.5 inch bracelet. I am constantly telling people I am wearing 13 feet of copper on my wrist. They usually can't believe it.
Absolutely correct 👍🏻 but I prefer mine a little further spaced as I feel it gives the bracelet a little more movement and less rigidity 🤩 It does take a LOT of wire 😆
I made these years ago using non tarnish various colors of wire from Artbeads. There is a large book showing many copper wire projects but it was great to see someone create a video explaining this in detail so thank you this from a fello brit from Liverpool living in Texas you made me feel at home.
Hi Samantha, after you posted about this tutorial the other day, I made one. Funniest thing, I used longer wire for my links and yet my individual links are the same size as yours. Now I'm making one from your tutorial. You are so talented and a great teacher. I've made a few bracelets from your tutorials. You make it so easy. Thank you so much.
Thank you for your video. I made a link with 18 guage square copper wire and it looks great. I'm will have to buy more square wire to make enough for a bracelet but I am excited to see the finished product ✌🏼️
Hi Samantha, from a fellow Samantha, great tutorial the bracelet looks amazing and will have a go at this. Just started to use wire, however I am not sure where to buy wire from I use Hobby Craft but its very limited on sizes and I would love to use some square shaped wire. Would you be good enough to recommend a company in the Uk. Thanks Sam
Thanks for this, very clear instructions. I have started following your tutorial but found my step pliers smallest diameter(3mm) must be larger than yours and I needed 162mm of wire vs your 140mm to make the 2 coils 50mm apart. Now when I bend the centre to form the interconnect loop I find the loop ends up behind the coils rather than just below. Aah! My 3mm dia. step causing problems again. I have ordered a new pair with a 2 mm dia. barrel. Can you tell me if that is the same diameter as you used in this video? This difference is critical in making this piece .
Hi there. Yes, mine are 2-9 mm increments. My instructions here are not fixed though, so it seems like you worked your measurements out amazingly 😍 I just give my measurements as a guide. I know some folks use round nose too, so it’s really just about finding your own method with the tools you have. 🥰
If you look through my other videos, I did another tutorial on the clasps for this particular bracelet ☺️ ua-cam.com/video/h3hFf-wsxU4/v-deo.htmlsi=ytesNqNTbmPuiKkX
I love the tutorial. I made a bracelet using copper wire. I love how it turned out. My only question now is how do I do a latch on it? At one end I get where you would put the hook, but where on the other end do I put something to hook into? I'm at a loss. Help!!!!!!
Hi Jeanetta 👋 You can attach any clasp you like to the end with the double wire and hook it into the loop on the final unit. Would you like a quick tutorial on the clasp I used?
👍🏻 Great tutorial, you’re very positive with ending practically every sentence with “okay?” I love your accent too, with a slight “k” after every verb ending with “ing”, like startingk, lol.
Thanks!
Thank you so much, Bonnie. That’s so very kind of you 🥰
@@samanthalatimer1 you’re very welcome. Your videos are worth lots more!
Samantha you are a wonderful teacher. I appreciate your concise instructions.
That is so very kind of you to say, thank you ☺️ I’m very grateful for your support ❣️
So intricate! They look like Owl eyes individually and I will make them as earrings to match! Ty!❤
They do! And yes, they are beautiful as earrings… and you can dangle charms or beads from the loop ☺️

They have so many wires and they’re a really good price. 🥰

Cok guzel olmuş
Çok teşekkür ederim. Çok kibarsın 🥰
so beautıful...
Thank you 🤩
This tutorial is great and so easy to follow. The problem I have with spirals is I keep badly marring the wire. ☹️ Any tips?
Try using nylon jaw pliers… they’re super soft and less likely to mark the wire ☺️
Thank you! I’ll look into getting a decent pair. I need to adjust my death grip 😂

What is the hardness of the wire
This is soft, but half hard will be fine too 🥰
👍🏻 Great tutorial, you’re very positive with ending practically every sentence with “okay?”

Argh! I hope it’s not irritating 😅 Glad you enjoyed the video 😍
How fi you do the clasp?or fud i miss some of your instructions?😳
I did a separate video for the clasp. It’s the one after this one ☺️
