We live in one of the greatest times to try just about anything you can think of. The problem is.... not everything is for you. We're told we can be anything we want and all we have to do is believe in ourselves. And there's no shortage of supporters who tell you that you should go for it. This could actually be dangerous.
We need to be self-aware more than self-assured. It's vitally important to know where you are in relation to where you want to be. Calibrated aspirations and built-in buffers will keep us in our lane and headed down the highway to places on a map firmly grounded in reality. It's time to get real and consider the consequences of poorly laid plans.
