I really like the e7, thanks to you I have a rovyvon aurora that glows in the dark just the one that you were using in the first part of your video, and that thing is awesome. You are right the charging cover is flimsy and easily losable, I lost mine pretty much immediately but other than that works as a charm. Thanks for the opportunity!
Haha glad your light is still holding up well ( minus the charging port cover lol) ive had other brands with rubber covers break too... good luck man! Hope you have a great weekend as well.
I've been daily carrying a 2nd gen (?) A5 for around four years now and it's still going strong. I keep the clip and the keyring on there, it's always clipped to my front right pocket and the keyring makes an excellent quick-grad handle. It only takes me a second to get it out of my pocket and on, and this convenience has made a huge difference. Otherwise, I might have fallen down a dark set of stairs by now (or at least been a lot slower using them), and having a light that's fast to grab has made a huge difference deciphering details in supoptimal lighting. I work as a theatre technician and this thing replaces the bulky flashlight (for the most part) and bulky headlamp most use at a cheaper overall price and in the form factor of a AA, so it's always on hand when I need hands-free illumination (which is a daily given my profession). For anyone wondering how this replaces a headlamp: I turn on the sidelight and clip it to my shirt collar. For those who wear hats/caps daily, clipping it to the brim of the hat/cap and using the main light would be an even better option. The charging port cover has held up all this time as I've only opened it for charging and put it right back afterwards.
Hi US! The Aurora lights are great keychain lights! I have the A7 (I have had it for over a year and going strong)! I also have a RovyVon dual light and use it in my garage for spare light. All these lights are because I watch your videos! I really like the Angel Eyes E lights. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing. Incredible small lights with different choices. It's good to know the options with each of them. I'm leaning towards the angel eyes model.
AYO!! i'm so happy to see this brand being talked about - I've been using the aurora for a couple years, I'm always looking for a tiny flashlight as I like to travel as lightly as possible, and the A5 is the best one i've used so far. I went through tons of $3 tiny keychain flashlights that fell apart before I bit the bullet and bought one above $5, and it's still my go-to flashlight. I end up using the UV light more than the actual flashlight part because i'm a scene kid and it's the best portable blacklight I have too, even though that's not its job! I also use it as a bike light - I put it on the strap of my helmet with the clip attachment and it works like a charm until my hair gets in the way!
As always, precise comprehensive and the best balance between specs and practicality. Keep up man. Your videos leave no need for any further research before purchasing. Lots of luv from India.
So many great options its really hard to choose a favorite but I think the blue GITD A7 with the Nichia would be the most practical for me... really hard to pass on the Angel Eyes E7 though!
Great comparison. Some differences with the new version of the A5 is that there is a removable magnetic base on the new version and also there is a downgrade in the side light performance. My older A5X white side light is rated for 17lm for 12 hours low and 65lm for 3 hours on high. The new version is 10lm for 6.5hrs low and 50lm high for 1.4hrs.
Its possible they were over inflating the numbers with the older A5X and they just corrected that in the new version. I would need to see them side by side and I will still likely order the new version!
I have the high CRI UV version of the A8. I like it, but as you say, it will eventually be unable to hold a charge. I'm considering an Angel Eyes for the hybrid battery, but have held off so far.
Yeah Ive been enjoying the E3 for a few months now with that same feature. Probably will be carrying one of the angel eyes for that reason. Thanks for watching and good luck man!
I had one of there original a1's and loved it. I put too much trust in to the pocket clip on my bad and it was lost somewhere. I never went back to get another because I had replaced it with an olight rechargeable Keychain light that was free. rovyvon seems to have made some awesome upgrades and I think you twisted my arm just hard enough to go check out there stuff. great video and appreciate the indepth review of these products. The aurora nichia has some features I really like and the light emitted really is something else.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your A1! Yeah the A1 in nichia would be a nice replacement and definitely outperform gen 1. I had one of of the gen 1 A5s but ended up loosing that one somewhere as well lol. Thanks for stopping by the channel John.
@@UrbanSurvivor I should thank you! I appreciate how thorough you're with the specs and functionality of each light you review, even on short videos you never disappoint.
the angel eyes lineup is awesome with the hybrid battery. aaaaand it's a different shape. I like the E8 cuz it's just packed with features, useless or not. haha but E5 or E7 is more practical. i would go with the E7 since it advertises 700 lumen and the actual usable is usually lower, might as well go with the most.
Whats up darnell! Thanks for watching man. Yeah those transparent lights are pretty cool and the UV is actually usable and started to burn my finger a bit lol
I have an Aurora 8x warm white, and i have to say i am disapointed, because of the following. I use them on my keychain, in normal Environment, No Outdoor stuff. After maybe 6 months, the USB protection (charging Port protection) is gone and i had to use a scre Driver, to Position the inner parts, to be able to Charge IT again. Basically the whole Thing inside the plastic Tube moved. I have absolutely know Idea how this happened xD. --> they don't seem to be that sturdy. And that for a 45+€! Keychain light
I'm having a hard time deciding between the e7 and e8. Can you tell me if the pocket clip on the e8 only fits in one spot, because of the lights being on the side. The e7 looks like it will fit in 3 different grooves, I was thinking I could turn it to be lights down and use the clip on the last groove to make it deep carry?
@@UrbanSurvivor yeah .but I've got a Old A5 with the Red and the flashing function is so useful when in Large group's so people can find me...or when crossing dark street's..

Hi, very soon I am planning to purchase Aurora A8 USB-C Keychain Flashlight with sidelights (3rd generation) but unable to understand the details difference between SST-20 6500K vs Nichia 219C 5000K 90 CRI. Please advise which one is better for everyday use. Thank you.
Hey! I would typically recommend the nichia version over the sst-20! The nichia is going to illuminate objects more similar to how the sun would and thus portray them in more natural colors. It will also reduce eye fatigue over extended durations! Hopefully that helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
I recently bought an i3t EOS and to me it's a fantastic little flashlight light with great quality and bought for a more than fair price. (And no, I'm no shill.)
Yeah most of Olights lights with built in batteries should be avoided. I do think they offer a competive i3 and i5 series for aa and aaa lights and their keychain lights are a good deal if you get them on a flash sale. The baton 3 is a pretty nice light too.
Awesome review. All lights I've been considering for my wife, kids, and myself. May just have to grab them all! Once again, awesome review.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Im sure your family will be pleased! My kids love these lights too lol

Best EDC flashlights imo, especially if you're in an urban environment
The e8 is definitely interesting with UV light and GITD body, on top of that it seems to be pretty robust yet still really really portable.
As always, precise comprehensive and the best balance between specs and practicality. Keep up man. Your videos leave no need for any further research before purchasing. Lots of luv from India.
Thanks so much for watching Saurabh! Glad you enjoyed the video! Love to you from the USA
The angel eyes E7 is sweet! I appreciate the opportunity, good luck yall!
Yeah its great! Thanks for watching Pedro.
I like the RovyVon Angel Eyes E8. Those side lights look so bright and the clear look is nostalgic of the 90s for me. Great video as always!
Haha yeah cant beat that 90s look! Thanks for watching and good luck man!
Greetings from Kazakhstan and thank you for the review!
My pleasure Joshua! Thanks for watching!
My favorite would have to be the blue a7 angel eyes! I like the blue on it and blue luminous body on top of it would be awesome to add to my carry.
