My Mother passed away in 1995 and she loved Hank Williams. She played his records all the time and lived in Montgomery Alabama for awhile. Our hometown is Bristol, Tennessee and they had the best burgers at the Burger Bar. This brought back alot of childhood memories. Thank you so much Spa Guy.
Spy Guy, this was amazing about Hank Williams Senior as I am a fan of his music,I wondered where he was buried and now I know bc of your kick a** knowledge of our Timeless musicians and there music, songwriting and performing arts. Thank you for this video and looking forward to more from you as you always deliver. Take care Billy.⚡🎉🙏👍👑⭐
Great video Spa Guy. Hank is a Icon not only here in Alabama, but also world wide. No one can deny his importance not only to the world of country western music but also a pioneer to rockabilly, blues and a pre cursor to rock and roll. Elvis once said that I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry was the saddest song he'd ever sang. Hank left us far too soon, but his legendary music will last forever.
Very cool video Spa Guy I am a big Hank Williams He had a great impact On music even though he had a short life My favorite song of his I'm so awesome I could cry Elvis Said the fat was the saddest song He's ever heard
Thank you for sharing I always loved history information about important people we are all important you could say celebrity remember those records. Thank you again for all your hard work greatly appreciate both of you be blessed always sending prayers blessings hugs and love to all of you and Families
As the story has it. Hank was still alive before leaving the hotel as told by the teenage driver " Charles Carr". Hanks next gig was supposed to be in Charleston WV. Carr and Hank attempted to charter a flight but the weather was too bad. So they went by car. Stopped at a hamburger joint as you stated, I believe that when Mr. Carr stopped at a gas station in the town of Oak Hill WV it was the gas station attendent the noticed Hank was stiff and riggamortis set in. Carr then drove Hank to the local Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His body was then taken to Tyree Funeral Home. I believe Hanks mom arrived from Montgomery. Then Charles Carr along with Hanks mom. And Hanks body were headed back to Montgomery. I guess we will never know the exact matter of how and where he passed. Charles Carr who was the last living witnesses passed away in 2013. Taking his secrets to his grave. If you get a chance to ride over to Georgianna AL where Hanks boyhood home where they have many memorabilia from his days living there. Also in Montgomery they have another Hank Williams museum. Where you can see Hanks nudie suits, his guitars, and the car in which he passed away in. Ive been to both and its worth the visit. Also his gravesite which you just posted. Hank and Elvis are my all time favorites. Thanks again Spa Guy.
Spa Guys on the scene!! Hello Billy, Thank you for the video. Have a good time and a safe travels.....😀👍🏻 Luv the drum beat !! (Do you know the drum beat name?)
Awesome Spa Guy! I heard he died on his way to a concert in the back seat of a car... "That's what my daddy meant when he sang about a lost highway" Hank Jr... Darealdeal
Hank Jr. mentioned in his autobiography Living Proof that to get to his dad's grave you go down a road with seven bridges and that the song "Seven Bridges Road" was about that...
I work a few blocks from here, while I have read that it is possible that Hank Williams passed away there, I had not heard of Amelia Earhart being there, interesting
A friend I recently met was telling me that was his granddaddy and was good friends with him in school and was body guard I googled and said something bout the mystery man
