We JUST gave our Tent Trailer to our best friends as we upsized! BUT they gave it a facelift and love it! I love that you're putting this work into it. They're sweet for camping!
My popup was making the same noise, I found that the Goshen system has tiny holes in the tubes that are grease points for the springs, stopped mine from making the noise without changing the springs.
Where exactly are the tiny holes? Are you talking about the zerks on the master tube? Edit: I found the holes. This peaked my curiosity and I called Goshen regarding them. They stated they are water drainage holes, however, you can shoot a tiny amount of oil - not grease - in the holes if needed to help the springs move through the tubes.
@@ItsPoppin They are about a foot away from where the tube goes up Into the post, they are facing the ground and it just looks like a drain hole drilled into the tubing. You will have to get a pinpoint grease fitting to go onto your grease gun to be able to grease, I would put as much grease as possible and then raise the roof about 3 or 4 inches and the grease some more and kept doing that until I had raised it about 2 foot. Then it worked with no noise or jumping.
@@ItsPoppin The Goshen Lift system The Goshen lift system is used by most of the pop up vehicle manufacturers. The cable is connected to a distribution block, enclosed in a tube running front to back under the vehicle frame. Within the tube is located a simple mechanism that utilizes one pulley to push four heavy duty springs through tubes routed to each corner of the trailer. As the springs are pushed through the tubes, the corners of the roof are pushed to the open position. The springs are maintained in a straight pushing position by square telescoping tubes that extend as the roof is raised to the full open position. MAINTENANCE: There are two grease fittings located on the main assembly tube: one is located on the bottom side, toward the hitch end of the vehicle, and the second is located on the top side toward the rear of the vehicle. At the beginning of each season use a grease gun and add grease to each end of the tube until grease appears around the cable (approximately 6-oz). There are four small tubes coming from the ends of the main assembly tube to each corner of the vehicle that encloses the lifting springs. Use a needle grease gun adapter and add a small amount of grease in the hole at the end that curves up to meet the bottom of the square telescoping tube assembly. Not to dispute what they told you but this is what I found and was going by and followed on my popup on their website. I would be reluctant to use oil because it will be dripping out everywhere.
Thank you I just ordered the 7 way plug setup you did.. whoever did mine the last time all the wires are black and not colour coded at all from the plug till 4 feet into the nose. My theory is Replace it all and the problem is solved and no new problems will arise
I am looking for something to seal ,fix the inside of pop up camper that is no longer sealing at the top? There is an opening that I tried to tape but it's nor holding
Just in case you missed it, here’s part three: ua-cam.com/video/9oYsVMxSNQ4/v-deo.html

They're definitely giving out conflicting information then. This is good, thank you for the follow up. We just want people to be well informed.
Wow. That noise on the lift system was atrocious! Everyone in the campground will appreciate your new lift springs!!

How do I access the air conditioner filter? Thank you!

How do you know how to do all this stuff? :)
Do you have video that show how to find and hook the wires to use the battery?
No, not specifically.
