I love watching this because it shows just how great of an actor Craig is. On the Late Late Show he's such a charming and personable guy that everyone loves but as Mr. Wick he's just this conniving, sniveling, cowardly manchild.
When Craig took over the Late, Late Show, I had NO idea how incredible he was. I actually hated his role on Drew Carey. I couldn't stand his character! But glad he hosted his own talk show for over two thousand episodes, he SHONE just being himself!
@turner111 He actually made the accent incredibly posh and cheesy in order to get his revenge for the godawful scottish accent of the scotty in startrek.
craig might have slipped up occasionally, but overall the accent is very impressive. It's insanely difficult to pull off, if you weren't born speaking like Rex Harrison. (Yes, there ARE people in the UK who talk like that. Just wish there were more of them left.)
🦋🌿 @Es Dee If you haven't seen it, there is a youtube of Craig and Robin Williams where they get crazy on TLLS. It's called the best interview ever, I think. They had a blast!
I only just realized that they made Mr. Wick an alcoholic and sent him into rehab in this series - the fact that that actually happened to and was a very real problem for Craig Ferguson makes me really f***ing hate irony. It just makes that so shocking and sad once you even start to think about it. :/ I guess it's a good thing that I didn't know that of Craig yet when I watched the show so I could just laugh at it. Man...
It's not as though Craig isn't open about it and doesn't make jokes about it himself. I doubt they'd have done it if he wasn't comfortable with it. I thought they handled the whole thing more tastefully and sensitively than most things in this show and I liked how Craig always seemed to make a point to keep continuity with it even though the show wasn't winning any prizes for continuity the rest of the time.
"Mr. Wick, what do you want?" "The same thing you want, to destroy Mimi, and I have a plan. I call it operation Take Down the Clown." "How Does it work?" "I dunno, I spent all night on the title" "Well let's see, I've been fired for a variety reasons, I must be able to come up with something. There was drunk, drunk, drunk, then I forget the legal term but whipping it out in an elevator, then drunk, drunk, and whipping it out in an office, I was telling the elevator story at a different job.
Noo!! It's missing at least *two* of my faves! One where Wick was fired, and went up to Kate, and while gyrating said, "Before, this would have been harrassment, but now I'm just being a jerk!" The other: (Note ~ means sarcastic tone) Drew needed to do a urine sample. Wick: I want your urine on my desk imediately! Drew: ~Oh, it'll be on your desk!~ Wick: In a cup! D: ~Oh, it'll be in a cup!~ W: Not my coffee cup. D: ~Oh, it won't be in your coffee cup!~ W: I'm confused, I don't know what you mean by that last one. D: ~Neither do I, I just know it scares you when I talk like this!~
"Sir, are you using Mimi as a human shield?!?!?!?" (exaggerated) "Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!" (Mimi looks at Wick and says in just as exaggerated a voice) "Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssss"
Little did some "Carey" fans know that Drew would host The Price is Right nearly 20 years later. And for some Nigel Wick fans, Craig Ferguson actually guest-hosted The Price is Right on April Fools Day 2014 with Shadoe Stevens (aka the Rod Roddy lookalike) as the announcer.
So apparently Ferguson was never offered this role initially. Originally he had auditioned for the role of a Hispanic photographer on Suddenly Susan, which he obviously failed, and the head of WB's casting department asked if he could do an English accent and suggested he audition for Mr. Wick which was being auditioned for on the same lot. Ferguson also claimed that he went over the top with the accent as payback for years of English actors doing horrible Scottish accents
It's ironic that the two (very strong) impressions he did were both of famous Scottsmen! Especially since he's doing a mediocre one of an Englishman...😁
Why isn't there a clip where Drew punches Wick? How is that not there. There were plenty of punches and strikes with a pool cue and stuff like that throughout. Why isn't any of that here? I mean at least the ones involving Wick.
So he's a Transexual Vampire with a posh British accent and looks like a younger version of Al Pacino aye? Where's Geoffrey Peterson? His gay vampire brother with an absolutely irresistable Transylvanian accent who looks like a young George Michael? Lord, in your holy name and in the name of your beloved son our begotten savior Jesus Christ I humbly thank you for giving Craig Ferguson to us here on Earth.
I love Craig Ferguson. He’s my favorite comedian. I got to see him April 7th in Anaheim for my birthday. :)
April 7th is my birthday too!
Luckyyyy
3:30 I think Drew is breaking. they relived this moment on the Late Late Show, the 9/11/09 episode
Craig said he did his stupidly outlandish posh English accent, in revenge for all English actors trying to do a good Scottish accent.
miller did glasgowigan every good on Transpotting 1
@lobotimiseaha6965 wow nice English 😂
@@lobotimiseaha6965wasn’t a Glaswegian accent

Yet still makes the character charismatic
Love this guy. He's so under-rated
This is where I first saw Craig Ferguson
I first saw him on the lls
@@dadgumit2505 The Ugly Truth for me. Then the LLS

WHO'S THAT AT THE DOOR!🐎
3:30
You can so tell that Drew was so close to losing his shit there.
You can tell in the messy chocolate part that Drew is trying hard not to laugh.
God of late late entertainment. Friends with skeleton and horse. The guy is so fucking awesome.
I honestly forgot how sadistic he really was!
When Craig took over the Late, Late Show, I had NO idea how incredible he was. I actually hated his role on Drew Carey. I couldn't stand his character! But glad he hosted his own talk show for over two thousand episodes, he SHONE just being himself!
I didn't watch the first year of TLLS when he was host because I can't tolerate the English accent and I didn't know he is actually not English.
You should dislike the character coz he's kind of a villain here. It was made that way.
I totally forgot Craig was on this show and I used to watch it all the time!
In its Day, this was such a great show! Everyone was awesome! ❤️❤️ Thank you Drew!
@turner111 He actually made the accent incredibly posh and cheesy in order to get his revenge for the godawful scottish accent of the scotty in startrek.
:32 DREW CAREY: Hold it, stop the camera. Sir, what are you doing? CRAIG FERGUSON: Connery. Sean Connery.
Craig is always funny, everywhere. You're fired too.
I love Craig!!!!
Man this was the best show back in the day
Fire drill...good one.
Attention everyone! It's time for a fire drill. Johnson, you're fired!
That one got me lol!
Oh Craig, so little did we know back then.
I love how this is the show that put him in the map in America
Everyone's name in the store is called Johnson, XD
8:03 and that's how Mr. Wick lost one of his testicles... xD
SingenStatt Atmen but which one.. the rear or the front? xD
@@iameensame5667 holy shit

Whoever worked in that company and was named Johnson was doomed.
So true.lol!

Craig is amazing,isn't he?!
Wicked smile by the way!Lustful and at the same time inviting and mysterious!
Yes,he is..and i'd have to agree..:)
That was my entire family...Bawahahahaha!
so many inventive ways to fire people LOL XD
Omg I can't. I fucking can't!!! God I love Craig SOOOOOOO much!!! xDD
Lord I miss this show
Craig Ferguson obviously loves Rik Mayall.
my favorite is the crossbow
The CW should bring back "The Drew Carey Show" sometime in 2018, with the original cast returning.
So this was The Office before the office
Growing up, I was convinced this was an adaption of Dilbert comic strip...
*He reminds me of Mr Bean here, both in voice & character*
Oh look, everybody! Carey just detected an irony! He’s so smart! Smarter than me!
You’re fired.
5:40 - 6:07
best Way to fire someone.....
4:26 - 4:54 favorite ones
Nice Bond Impressions

i love when he fires people for no apparent reason in unique ways. my favorite was blowing the balloon that said ''you're fired''
Carey I have a story to tell you, once upon a time your fired

Mr. Wick fires Drew at 6:57

My top comedians are Chris Rock Craig ferguson and Jim Carey ...they are "on" all the time

As a Scotsman, that was about as funny, as loosing a limb !
Not that we could expect the same out of you, but still!
This was my first association with Craig Ferguson and I remember being so confused hearing his real voice when I first heard it on the late late show.
This wasn't funny but Craig is funny

Did these clips come from St.Louis ?
How did he put it in the Stripper episode? "My Sailor still wears his hat to the dinner table."
While Drew switched with Craig to hos the late Late show, which was filmed in the same studio.
The funniest thing he ever said in this show was when he was telling the story of how a animal ate his nipple
So apparently Ferguson was never offered this role initially. Notice everyone Mr Wick fires is named Johnson
What's the episode Lewis tryed to help Kate by acting drunk at Drew's house
I agree with Sammy Pineda! The funniest thing he ever said in this show was when he was telling the story of how a animal ate his nipple
@TheOnlyMeSydney lol, and almost every single person fired has the surname Johnson
can anyone tell which episode the lie detector was in?
or Jones or Hoppkins
Lol he does Connory and Cain
still better than the gamestop supervisors.
Give her the juice!!!!
@turner111 its scottish/british. It's actually pretty good.

'machts nichts' he says. German, means doesn't matter.
I used to love this show when i was a kid. But is he trying to be english whats up with his accent. I dont remember that part for some reason
Man, being named Johnson on this show must be career suicide 😂
Craig does a better British accent than most British people do a British accent!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Nigel Wick fired people so much better than Trump ever did. Much more creative.
Cant see nothing. 3pixels
WHATTA FK WAS THAT !??
Sorry, but at least half of these...snippets are punchlines, almost pointless without the " set up ".

In other words, it's a sitcom.
