Thank you for testing AVG ,some very good results ... BUT you also didn't test "boot-time scan" !!! As i understood at the beginning of this video you said you'll test it or did i misunderstood🤨 ? --I'll say it here as well : As someone who owns full licences on 4 AVs ( AVG ,Sophos , Bitdefender , Malwarebytes ) ,AVG's boot-time scan is the best scan i've used .. it can erase threats that normal scans can't since it scans your system before it enters windowsenviroment. In the past i saved 2 work-PCs from certain format thanks to "boot-time" scan !!
It didn't happen, I tried. Sorry man, I'll do my best to do it in full review. 😭😭 (It's probably because it did good enough and it determined it's not needed?)
@@EclypseeTech Yeah you're correct ,"boot-time" scan is a specialized scan ,and it's usually needed as a last resort ...when the normal scans fail to properly clean a threat😉
Another great vid. You deserve more views, and subs, you actually put the AV software trough proper testing. I will keep sharing the vids, I hope it helps.
@LexyyWho yeah in new v24 Norton it's basically an avast clone. Or you can use Norton previous version for Norton features like base product. Also 360 for gamers isn't planned to be made
@LexyyWho eh not really. Avast has better features in their engine like cybercapture and it's a huge engine used in 3 top avs so it will be better than Norton engine which misses ransomwares. Also Norton has many bugs and in recent tests it didn't do great possibly due to them focusing on v24 but in general Norton has been a decent option but extremely pricy. With kaspersky gone, enterprise avs might be more popular since they sell single licenses for custom amount of users through their resellers.
@@slotddTech One thing I wonder about is why AVG slows down Firefox and Lightroom to unbearably slow snail pace, Firefox was usable, but could slow down horrible at times I struggled to close tabs, to close Firefox, but Lightroom was super slow too, 5 minutes before I could go trough the images. slower Flickr upload, 2 minutes to load Lightroom. horrible. No idea what in AVG slowed down these software, but it was only these software, yes only Firefox and Lightroom. I reported it, I hope they have fixed it. But Norton doesn't interfere, so everything is Lightning fast. but the false positives aren't nice, some games mgiht get detected as a Trojan, despite being from legit developer. But nowhere near as bad as Zamena(rebranded Hitman pro) it could get 10 or 20 false positives at times, but less so the recent years, but still horrible. parts of legit browser items were detected, some legit software. I forgot what, but it cant run on windows 11, due to integrity mode being on.
would love to see a dedicated behavioral ransomware test and see how much they improved this cuz it didn't do really good last time.btw wouldn't it be easier if you just used arrow keys to select the next file and pressed enter to run it rather than clicking on every single one of them? just saying lol

Good job man. Keep em coming!!
Nice. Avast engine has been put into Norton v24. So it might be a very good antivirus in the upcoming years
Fr?
So Norton using Avast engine rn?

You should turn on PUP and adware detection while doing the test.
AVG AND AVAST ARE SAME PEOPLE
Expected good results and it did deliver. Also for the Q&A where can i post?
On the community post I guess.
