As someone who very much does dabble I love running it in a WINE sandbox and not worrying about something that cannot execute on my host. Don't need AV software over here.
@notjustforhackers4252 it'd be a real shame if some ransomware decided to access your z drive... or of it started doing stuff on the network to other devices, among other things that would still work under wine. Wine's not exactly on the level of running in a virtual machine. You can configure access to make it more sandboxed but it's not 100% foolproof against stopping malware spreading/affecting. You may also get a false sense of security if a malware's payload doesn't run correctly in wine. Also, if you are using a cracked .exe for a program that doesn't run correctly under wine, how can you validate it?

I am using Kaspersky since 2011 and till now the versions were Kasp anti-virus, Kasp internet security and Kasp Total. Yes it is, I have been using it since it's released. It has all the basic AV and Ransomware detection components available. Kaspersky Free with basic common sense applied and you're in safe hands imho.
microsoft defender turns off, if its detects another av. pro tip for future: never run multiply anti virus programms at the same time. just use 1 good one. 2 av can literally fuck themselves up and it might be a virus coming thourgh that. had that some years ago by a neighor who had a problem with his pc, he downloaded a file, which was infected, those anti viruses both detecded it and wanted to delete it automaticly, but since they both wanted to do the same thing, their services crashed so both didn't work because of that, and the pc got infected. try the same thing again with the same file over an virutal machine, same problem. tried it again with only one of them active, no crash, file got deleted.

have you tried the newer paid version of zone alarm? i liked the free version but the paid version just removed all my historical stuff and i can’t seem to restore them.
@steiner554 Just like any other AV it has to update it's database somehow. Where do you think it calls up to when it want's to update itself. People need to realize even if you are sharing your data with the Russians. I don't think there's much use of it to the Russians anyway, unlike for the NSA and USA, where they control, track and block your transactions, and freedom of speech etc. if you "don't follow the flow". At which point you are either "sharing" your personal data with Russia or with USA (all modern western AV's share data with the western intelligence agencies as was leaked by Snowden). And I would never trust USA in a million years. As I've already been caught up to the censorship a million times, feels literally like I'm being watched the whole time, and not allowed to say anything at this point. Let alone do something what they might consider controversial... i. e. not support the LGBT+ in my local church, god forbid I must be a criminal... by their logic, and should be stripped of all my rights, and eventually be put behind the bars... The deep state is already doing it to Trump, what can a normal citizen do ? we literally have no rights at this points but to follow the general agenda being fed up by the higher ups.
@steiner554It does call Russian IP’s but some Kaspersky employee’s blog debunked it and explained why that was the case « This is not the damning evidence you think it is. Some government websites are located behind a DDoS protection proxy operated by Kaspersky, that’s all there is to it. Any insinuation that Kaspersky and the Russian government are so tightly interwoven they share the same IT infrastructure is technically illiterate at best, intentionally misleading at worst. It means Kaspersky sells services to the Russian government. Like DDoS protection, malware analysis trainings (I know) and antivirus protection (I imagine). What did you expect? Russia is not our only government customer. »

im not sure whether it actually detects malicious behavior or just flags all pyinstaller packages
It doesn't detect every pyinstaller package just because its pyinstaller unlike some antiviruses.
Hey, thanks! Could ask to show task manager while testing like in your malwarebytes video.
Using it since 2012, this AV is absolutely amazing... many & useful features, and reasonable price. Btw, I'm using Kaspersky Premium now and I feel soo safe 😎
Can you make the same test video for Bitdefender?
Why would it be unsafe? Its one of the best if not the best AV
surprised its still around. I havent used it since I stopped using Windows XP
Kaspersky is the best Antivirus that can almost remove anything. It might miss some, not all are perfect, but it's 100% on the top. Bitdefender is great no doubt, but Kaspersky is at the top
Could please make a video on BitDefender and ESET with same same set of malware? Also mention about impact of these softwares on system performance. Thanks
Interesting test! But where can I get 2000+ malware samples and 1000 false positives to test ourselves? Kaspersky might behave differently in different system environments. We need good samples to safely conduct our own testing?
What about the endpoint security version
Kaspersky is still the best 😎😎
kaspersky fanboys detected
@@TheHobbitmann And what fanboy are you?
Imagine going through the comments on a video that demonstrates how good Kaspersky is saying 'Kaspersky fanboy'

BITDEFENDER vs 2000 Malware
NORTON vs 2000 Malware
Have you done Bitdefender Free Antivirus?
Kaspersky has a version for macOS too, so can you make a video about testing Kaspersky on Mac?
i would like to see this test with Bitdefender.
great video!
What AV would you recommend mainly for on-demand scans and that can have it's realtime protection permanently shut down, if needed (unlike Windows Defender)?
I am currently using Malwarebytes, but I don't know how it holds up compared to Kaspersky, or BitDefender, or some other good solution.
Do you know of any reliable source that compares these?
I know you tested both BitDefender and Malwarebytes, but idk how up to date those videos are.
Why my kaspersky doesn't look like this ?
I have internet security version
@steiner554 OK so just visited their website and it's completely different from what it used to be. I am using Kaspersky since 2011 and till now the versions were Kasp anti-virus, Kasp internet security and Kasp Total.
Now it's standard, plus and premium and the price is also increased 🤯
I wonder what are the differences?
Can you do the same test with Bitdefender Free and Avast Free?. Thank you.
So which one is the best: Kaspersky or Malwarebyes?
Hi. Can anyone tell me that the Kaspersky free version is still good in 2023??
Did you watch the video?
@@sylussquared9724 yes
@steiner554 i never thought of that 🥴
Yes it is, I have been using it since it's released. It has all the basic AV and Ransomware detection components available. Kaspersky Free with basic common sense applied and you're in safe hands imho.
@@Bourn77 ahmmm nyc
i guess i will keep my kaspersky subscription XD at least for 1 more year, still waiting for when windows defender will be as good as kaspersky
Kaspersky on Windows is thee Best 🔥
I would love to see how reliable Windows Defender is.
I'd love to see windows endpoint vs ESET tbh.
Should I use Kaspersky and Microsoft defender at same time?
Is Kaspersky better than defender overall and less resource heavy?
Defender will turn itself off if it detects another AV running so no it is not possible
microsoft defender turns off, if its detects another av.
pro tip for future: never run multiply anti virus programms at the same time. just use 1 good one.
Please can you comment on the SAFETY of Kaspersky PASSWORD MANAGER ? It's one feature of my purchase that I WANT to use but fear the agreement of "sending passwords to other countries" words to that effect in the agreement. PLEASE can you give feedback as you've NEVER answered any of my genuine questions. I have BOUGHT premium. Thanks
have you tried the newer paid version of zone alarm? i liked the free version but the paid version just removed all my historical stuff and i can’t seem to restore them.
Hey friendo! 👋 I just wanted to say great comment! Keep on being awesome mate 😂, over and out!
Can you test Eset Premium and Bitdefender?
Can you do the same test on Bitdefender Free version please? Thank you!!
Does Kaspersky or Bitdefender use less system resources?
Less than Avast, and BitDefender will literally use all your CPU... Especially on older PCs with weaker hardware. Kaspersky is decently optimized.
@@SyncF Amazing how tests by professionals, and my own personal collection of PCs shows this to be quite untrue.
You already did a video about how Microsoft Windows leaked data (e.g. telemetry), could you do the same for Kaspersky?
!??
